I'm a frequent customer at this location because the food is usually very good, but today the service was extremely disappointing. I first tried calling to place an order and stayed on the line for almost 20 minutes with no answer. When I arrived, I informed the employee, and I noticed the phone was left off the hook, which explains why no one was answering. I ordered a steak with scrambled eggs, broccoli, and a garden salad to go. After waiting about 30 minutes, I had to approach the counter myself to ask if my order was ready. When I finally got home, I realized the eggs were missing from my order. I understand businesses get busy, but service and organization should not suffer. It's frustrating when there isn't someone properly managing the front or handling customers. The manager appeared to be working hard in the kitchen, but the real issue is clearly front-of-house service and customer attention. The food is good, which is why I keep coming back, but service definitely needs improvement. Obviously the forgot the EGGS!

I have to say this is one of the best Denny's in the San Fernando Valley. The parking lot is never full, easy to get a set and being a little off beaten path it's sort of a hidden gem location. The Denny's of Sherman Way is located between Fulton and Ethel, next to a strip mall plazas on each side of it as well as across the street with mainly small mom and pop places, some auto repair shops and industrial areas facing North. Residential areas South, including a large apartment complex that sits just behind. This location is fully in Valley Glen, but North Hollywood adjacent. When you walk in, you're typically greeted and allowed to pick a seat in the areas available. Open 24 hrs and doing it with charm, classic meets modern ambiance and service that is always friendly and prompt. The food always fresh for dine-in or takeout and even delivery. They never miss any of my order notes, but I try to stick to a few favs like the Build Your Own Beyond Burger (which has switched over to the Dr. Praeger's Veggie Patty at some if not most locations), the Grits (no butter), Oatmeal and Skillets (without the eggs, cheese and meat... often asked for extra veggies) And a lot of sides: Side Salad (hold the cheese for me), Seasoned Red-Skinned Potatoes, Fresh Seasonal Fruit, Toast, Hash browns , French Fries (both Wavy and Seasoned), Broccoli, Whole Grain Rice. Never have I ever had a bad experience here.. Knock on those wooden tables (unlike the other locations nearby on Sepulveda and the really bad one in North Hollywood off Burbank/Lankershim... we don't talk about her). They definitely had a staff shortage here at times during and post early 2020s that is evening out more. I definitely know when to go to beat crowds. Love when they bring the hot sauce options out (Tapatio, Cholula, Tabasco) and included them in my delivery orders. I've had so many great servers here over the years and met some amazing managers. Great place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night, groups, families and kids who eat free on Tuesdays (from 4p - 10p) Q Tip: They still have their rewards program, don't forget to sign up :D

My dad got coffee and the cup was DIRTY!

I took my father to Dennys today to celebrate a late valentines day. He ordered coffee and didn't realize it was DIRTY unfortunately until he had finished it. We so busy in conversation. The waitress was made aware of this and looked at it and examined it and brought over a new cup with her hands all over the rim. A forced apology accompanied with poor customer service. Made the experience uncomfortable.

When you sit down, FIRST things FIRST- HOT COFFEE

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are consistently good at checking up on you and making sure you have everything you need. Just another 5 star reason of why we keep coming back!

I saw the reviews and photos and I knew I just had to stop by. Thankfully I had read the review about parking because it can definitely be confusing. Parking is street parking and a short walk to the restaurant. I did see a lot up ahead when I initially turned in the driveway but the sign looks like it's meant for a different business. I found parking right before Weddington and walked to Bruxie. On my way a shady character started following me and speaking to me and I power walked to the restaurant to get away. As I turned the corner I was greeted by friendly staff. There is someone behind the window to take orders but also someone outside the window able to take orders as well. After looking at the menu I orderd the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with a side of waffle fries, and also a breakfast burrito with a side of tots (that I planned to eat tomorrow morning). I paid and then waited in the shade of the outdoor seating which has allot of shade and it's a nice area to sit. My food was ready in maybe 15 to 20 minutes and then I walked back to my car as I had to get to my next destination. Unfortunately that shady man was waiting for me and when I rounded the corner he acted like he was ignoring me but then he started following me again!!! I ended up taking advantage of my long legs and I did a long legged power walk back to my car leaving him in the dust. People saw me walking so fast with such long strides and were looking at me like I'm crazy. When I looked back the man was still walking my way staring straight at me but thankfully he can't walk fast to catch up to me. The point of me writing about this is to be careful on this street, keep your eyes on your surroundings and do not get distracted staring at your phone. On my way driving to my destination I started nibbling on the waffle fries and they were so perfect! I don't know how to explain the puffy crunch that comes with them as you bite down. So perfectly crispy yet soft! I then decided to try the tots and they are perfection too! The perfect amount of spice that gives a hint of spicy but it's not overwhelming. I wasn't planning to eat both the fries and the tots but before you know it I arrived at my destination and both were in my belly! I then ate the Nashville chicken sandwich, absolutely delicious and generous portion, I love the taste again spicy but not overwhelming, it was perfect. My only wish is that the chicken could have been a thicker piece of chicken but it was a thin long piece. Other than that it definitely hit the spot. I am looking forward to eating my breakfast burrito tomorrow morning!

Being a huge matcha fan, I was all set to order one, but then I spotted a unique drink on the menu called "Fluffy Hojicha." I got curious and asked a staff member what hijocha was. They told me it has a distinct roasted flavor, which really intrigued me. Not knowing what to expect from a roasted tea, I decided to give it a try. The wait for my sister's drink, along with a crème brûlée donut and a strawberry donut, was just a quick 3-5 minutes. The first sip of the Hojicha caught me off guard; it wasn't my favorite right away. But with each sip, I started to appreciate and eventually really enjoy the unique roasted flavor of the tea. The crème brûlée donut was a lovely addition - just the right amount of sweetness without being too much. ELNO is located in a building with other small vendors, and there's a seating area that fits only two to three people. I found parking easily since I went on a weekday around 4 PM. My sister mentioned that on weekends, parking is a real hassle. It's definitely worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.
