We were visiting the area and stopped for breakfast had the Super Grand Slam it was PERFECT. Our server Kimberly was Fantastic very nice and our orders both mine and wife's were exactly as requested. This place can be a hit or miss at times, but it really depends on if they're very busy or not. The food is great and offers a variety of breakfast brunch or dinner items. Great location of the interstate lots of parking. Plenty of seating areas, such as tables and booths. read more

Hideous- absolutely gross to the point of being traumatic. I can't believe the Mississippi Health Department allows this place to operate. I went here with my mom and three children. It was late at night, and we had been driving all day, so there weren't many places open. When we walked in, we were met by annoyed waitress who told us we would have to split our party into two booths because the dining room was closed. I've worked in food service before, and NOOOO - that's not what you do. You allow customers to be seated together, even if you already "closed" the section. We were hungry, so we said we would just all cram in one booth. We were seated in a small section with other hopeless customers. The disgruntled server tossed our menus on the table without making eye contact. We looked over the sticky, filth-covered menus to find something to eat. Yes, there are vegetarian options, (yay!) but still - don't go unless you're starving. As we looked at the menus, flies began to land on us, and cover the grease-laden light fixture that hung over our table. LOTS OF FLIES. Yes, I'm serious. I told myself - Sonia, you have been camping and enjoyed it. Think of this as camping, but with someone mean who hates you. (that would be the waitress). That's how hungry I was. The waitress did not return for our order, so I went to the kitchen area to find her. The guy who was cooking that night was pleasant and appeared engaged with his work. He sent our angry server our way, and she reluctantly took our order as we all swatted away flies. My mom said, "I don't understand why there are so many flies here." The waitress just shrugged! It was so bad that it was almost comical. While we waited, another employee poured an enormous amount of a strong-smelling cleaning product in the main dining area. He used a lot of water and completely soaked the area. The smell was oppressive, but I thought - at least someone is making an attempt to clean. Then, I took my daughter to the bathroom. It was unbelievably filthy. There was a roach crawling on the sink, and flies were landing on us the whole time. It was worse than outhouses in national parks, worse than portable toilets, and worse than bathrooms I have visited in developing countries. Of course there was no toilet paper. We did the best we could and returned to our table. I kept reminding all of us to pretend we were camping, because then the experience might seem fun, well, sans the surly waitress. The food arrived, and much to my surprise, it was actually good. I was expecting it to be as bad as the environment, but it wasn't. I tried to block out the filth of my surroundings, and just eat. This place has potential. They need a serious cleaning team, and to fire everyone except the cook. I can't go back though, and I don't recommend that you go either. read more

When I worked there as a dishwasher as being an autistic adult, Jeff the one who was there as a manager was chill outside of work but at work you work with him he was a nightmare to work with or be around!!! Glad I quit my job there for a real reason 2 years ago and know that I rather eat at this restaurant than to work as a dishwasher or even a server. Stopped in for a small bite after a long day on the road. We were quickly greeted with a smile and seated by Melissa. The restaurant was clean. Music was played at a volume to both hear the music and have conversation at the table. Sam was friendly and polite with a good sense of humor. He was attentive without being intrusive. I have not been to Denny's since high school. This place has changed a lot. Not my top place to go but decent place for breakfast in the afternoon. They have a new menu with great offerings. They also renovated the place too. Angela was great server for us. They off free WiFi and military discount too at this location. The cake batter shake was excellent but has a powder like after taste. The burger was good but not a fan of regular fries; I go for the season fries or onion rings in my opinion. The pumpkin pancakes are great but I noticed the bulk of the nuts batter ended up cooking on one side of the pancakes. Overall, this taste really good. If you're looking for a good place to chill and casual for breakfast. This the spot. read more

I thought I wrote on here but I dont see it so let's start from the beginning. June 17th I went with my fiance to celebrate a promotion i got and we went here. We ordered chicken tenders for an appetizers and I ordered the triple bacon burger while my love ordered the grand slam or breakfast plate. When I got my burger it was missing the bacon and then I got sick from the burger. 4 bites into it and I wanted to puke. The meat tasted old or rotten. Our waitress was so sweet and took my food back. Now I should've left when I first got there cause the cook kept giving raw pancakes to another table like 3 times. Then another person was missing items on their food and the chef (josh) was listening to his own music, blasting it and ignoring the waitresses who were asking why hes messing up orders. Fair to say that I did puke and had to go to hospital for food poisoning that lasted a week. I had to contact the food and safety people and report about this. Never coming back, the waitress and manager were amazing but the chef...ya no you need to be fired. read more

Terrible service and mediocre food.Waited over 40 minutes for our food to be delivered to our table and then the fries were lukewarm. At the 20 minute point I asked our server why people who came in after us were being served before us and her response was basically "I'll check with the kitchen." There were 2 of us and 4 of them, this should not have happened. It was another 20+ minutes after that before our food arrived. I did tell the manager about the terrible service, but, I had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes before she decided to come and speak with me. Denny's in Ocean Springs just lost a customer. read more

This location of the chain restaurant has your average appearance and seating. It appears there have been some renovations recently, and it brought a better atmosphere. It was a little crowded for breakfast, but there wasn't a wait like other restaurants close by. The employees were polite, but some seemed a little overworked or new. I'm not sure if they have someone assigned to cleaning tables or not, but I definitely believe the waiters/waitresses need that help. The hostess had to wait for tables to be cleared before seating us, and since the server had to clean it took a little while. The strawberry pancake bites we ordered were divine! They were a very sweet, so we couldn't eat more than one a piece. Our meals were cooked to our request, and the food was prepared quickly. I added cheese to my grits because that is my favorite way to eat them. However, the grits still tasted very bland. They only added a little bit of shredded cheese which wasn't equivalent to the portion of grits. Also, I couldn't taste any flavor of butter or anything. It tasted just like water. I added some pepper, and they tasted a little better. I wouldn't recommend the grits. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had great service once we sat down. I would go back to this location. read more

Why in the world would a waiter give a customer a menu with syrup and powdered sugar in it!! That was so disgusting To keep the tables balanced, they put drink lids under the legs. I've ordered from here twice now and each time was less than subpar. The first time I went there we had a very uncaring waitress, which we only saw about 2 times our entire visit, someone else had been helping us for drink refills and such. Some of the food was cold, and generally just wasn't that good. I decided to give them another chance because I saw some interesting things on their menu so I got an Uber eat order from them the other day and the "strawberry crepe" was straight up unedible and I think RAW or UNCOOKED, and it was covered in mold after 1 day in the fridge. And I was missing a few things from my order. Save yourselves some stomachaches and wallet aches and just eat ANYWHERE ELSE. :) (I don't meant to rude I'm sorry this is just the way I feel ) read more

So me and my fiancé wanted a late night breakfast because he gets off work late and doesn't feel like cooking because he's a chef so we go to Denny's what we thought was our favorite little date spot we go there at 12:20 AM we seat ourselves, and she wipes off for us. We get strawberry hush puppies as an appetizer they come out a little burnt, but still tasting good. We then wait about 40 minutes to get our food and our food is cold. My eggs are overcook the toast is burnt so we've been waiting to get the servers attention and she was avoiding us intentionally and till the end when she dropped off our ticket and asked if we needed boxes we looked her up and down and said no everything was cold and over cooked Denny's do better you are my spot growing up now I'm just disappointed read more

Recently remodeled and better looking when you walk in. But the food quality has been steadily going downhill for the last couple of years. Literally every time that we decide to give good ole Denny's another shot bc we like the menu they offer, the food gets worse and the service isn't much better. The last time we tried our luck here two out of the three orders were wrong. The T-bone steak and eggs was ordered as medium rare, it showed up grey and looked like it had either been boiled or microwaved or possibly both. We politely brought this to the attention of the server who said that she noticed it didn't look right when she dropped it off. She went and got the manager to come take a look at it. The manager shows up and instantly has an attitude, As if we were bothering him. The server told him she didn't think it looked right, our friend said it tasted terrible and he couldn't eat it. The manager just got angrier and picked up the edge of the plate, tilting it as if looking at it and drops it back down saying "I don't see anything wrong with it, that's just the way it was cooked, it looks fine". Now I'm no chef but if 3 people at the table and the server all think it looks bad then I don't think you being a butthead and claiming it's fine in a nasty tone is going to convince anyone that it's fine. This was the last time we will be visiting Denny's in Ocean Springs. Which is really a shame bc it's the only one anywhere near us. Bad service is tolerable if you like the food, bad service and bad food really leaves you nothing to go back for. read more

Do not waste your time or money attempting to eat at this restaurant. The staff are extremely rude and easily overwhelmed. I had a party of 7, and was sent to wait in the hot lobby. After about 20 minutes I asked the hostess to please seat us because there were several tables and booths available. We didn't mind sitting at two separate booths. The hostess slammed the menus down, walked away and obviously went to the kitchen area to have a meltdown. So unprofessional and rude! This girl wouldn't last 5 minutes at my job! We will never eat here again as this was a similar experience the last time we ate here 3 years ago. The absolute worst! read more

My cousin and I have had breakfast here for the past two Sundays, and I have to say that I was pleasantly shocked at how good both the food and the service was at this Denny's. I've eaten here occasionally over the last few years when visiting the area while still living in Atlanta. Most of my experiences here were pretty MEH, if you know what I mean. And others were just downright abysmal. But last Sunday, July 4, was a wonderful deviation from the norm. We were told our wait would be about 25-30 minutes, but it was more like 15. We were seated at a table that had not yet been cleaned, but an employee was over there immediately to take care of that. Our server Demetrius could not have been more gracious. Our food was out in a very timely manner, and it was very good. Our experience was so positive we decided to try it again this morning. Once again, our wait was about 15 minutes, and this time we had Lynette as our server. Same exceptional service, same exceptional food. If you have had a bad experience in the past at this Denny's, I urge you to give it one more chance. Something has definitely changed here, and for the better! read more

Ok, we almost didn't go to this Denny's because it was 3 Stars. Let me tell you, the food was the best of any Denny's in 5 states. The cook knocked it out of the park with the hash brown sautéed & scattered with onions and perfectly cooked pancakes and eggs. Ms. Goat waited on us and we didn't wait for anything , beautiful lady with a positive bubbling energy to better any mood. Really great experience with customer service. I ordered take out from the website but door dash was doing the delivery. They called and said they were out of salad. Not surprising during these Covid 19 times. The door dash person asked if I wanted something else and I said no. Cancel that part of the order. She told me I'd have to call door dash to get my money back. Called door dash waited for about 30 minutes (again covid) they said no you have to call Denny's b/c you ordered from their site. I called and they put Janell on the phone. I'm pretty sure that was her name. Instantly I was at ease with her cheerful voice. I never review chain restaurants but I had to for this day and the experience we had. We had a server named Tori and she was one of the worst servers I ever had. I normally give servers the benefit of the doubt, but this server was just not good at all! It was me, my boyfriend, his sister, and two kids there. She brought out to kids drinks with no lids, like really?? And then she says she would bring some but never did. Later, we asked for water refills. All of our waters were empty, we were dying of thirst. I'm staring at her and all she's doing is talking to her coworkers and when she finally looked up, I saw her say "oh shit" and quickly grabbed two cups of water. We didn't need it anymore after waiting for 15 minutes! I really dislike servers just standing around and not attending to their tables.
