The service was ok, but the food wasn't all that great. It was ok, not the best or worst experience.

Denny's can always be relied upon for consistently good food. I love to relax with a hot tea as they have friendly, attentive service. Breakfast menu is great for dinner; for a vegetarian meal, I selected the Veggie Skillet and it was piping hot, with home-cooked potatoes (my favorite!). Great bargains on the senior menu too, hubby had the tilapia which was cooked perfectly to his tastes. Give our regards to the cooks! read more

Going to give four stars for a couple if reasons, they brought out my friends food 8 mins before everyone else's when they should bring the children's food 1st . We had a child with us. They're extremely clean, fast and kind. Service is great, anytime I've come anyways! The only issue I had was with an appetizer that I wouldn't recommend because it comes out the exact same way. The Italian sampler, which contains garlic bread slices, mozzarella cheese sticks (the cheese wasn't exactly melted how it was portrayed), and last a few meatballs. Went to dennys today with the family for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised on how clean the restaurant was and how awesome the service was! It was my first time at this location and wasn't expecting anything special due to previous experiences at different locations. The food was on point too! I came to this Denny's because it was close by the hotel I was staying at. They have very friendly service and were always checking on everyone to make sure they have what they need. I ordered a chicken Cesar salad and a soup which was a very average nothing special about either dish. read more

Look. The food always awesome i have always had the best memories here. The atmosphere is usually kind and upbringing on midnight breakfast runs , but today sherall the manager was getting very obnoxious. Her sarcasm and disrespectful attitude not just to her customers but the abusive negative verbal abuse towards her EMPLOYEES. Was atrocious. The phone rang for about 15 minutes and she continued to say "will the phone SHIUT UP". Banging around chairs and complaining about how "it wasn't her job" that she was doing. I am currently in the Denny's and i am appalled by the actions of this manager regardless of stress level or how bad her day is going being a manager means you are a leader keeping calm in all situations not cursing and banging around tables. As well as saying rude and sarcastic comments under her breath as well. If i do not see this woman removed from her job i will literally be so saddened because i can never come back to this Denny's and this is my home town. Coming from someone who works in the self serve industry we work hard and it's our leaders job to remain professional in any setting as we do. My wife and I just ate at this Denny's location today, and we were not pleased with the food. We both ordered omelettes, with buttermilk biscuits, I got the hash browns, and she got the grits. The buttermilk biscuits were great, but the rest of the meal makes me feel like we got robbed. The omelettes were too oily, plus were not up to scratch when compared to other omelettes at different restaurant. It's as if the cook didn't bother with caring about the consistency. Perhaps it's a way to cut costs and give less ingredients? The ones at IHOP are much better. My hash browns were okay except for being oily, and the portions were kind of scarce. My wife wouldn't eat her grits because they were way too watery. On the upside, our waitress was very friendly and helpful, and this place has a military discount. read more

Disgusting. My family and I decided to go to Denny's for dinner since it was to late to go anywhere else to sit and eat. I ordered moons over hammy and halfway through finishing half my breakfast sandwich I noticed a long black hair that had been cooked into the eggs and cheese,. Once I saw that I tried to find our waitress but instead another waitress walked over to tell me that our waitress was busy. So, I decided to tell her what I found in my breakfast sandwich. I thought she would have been apologetic but NO she just snatched up my plate which made my silverware slam on the table and told me the manager will be over to talk to me. The manager finally came over and the first thing he says is "I apologize for the hair and what would you like us to do about it", that actually pissed me off because he really thought I was trying to get a free meal out of him. I told him I would like my meal cooked with no hair in it this time and all he did was repeat what I was saying with a dumbfounded look. I will never eat there ever again. read more

Very bad service. From the very beginning, they did not even put enough place mats. The waitress was clumsy. She got our orders wrong and incomplete. And right before we finish our meals, as she was giving us our soda refill, she spilled an entire glass of sprite on my friend and her designer bag. And yet, the manager did not even come to our table. They didn't even offer to comp her meals. But instead, gave her a gift card that turned out to he already expired! read more

The food was okay, you get what you pay for. What bothered me a lot was that they served the kids chocolate milk in styrofoam cups, styrofoam!!! Polluting, unhealthy and just not rigth for a fast food close to the beach and harbor! An absolute no-no! The next thing I noticed is that they made their automatic terminals so that there are no free games, and if or when you don't pay attention you're out of $2. I know, seems ridiculous to mention this, but it is a principle. It is somewhat fraudulent and misleading to do it this way, especially since it affects the kids behavior and actually pushes most parents to spend an extra $2 on nothing (making these games the most expensive ever on the market and a most profitable enterprise for Denny's). I would give this a 0 stars if possible. I walk in and I check in. We went escorted to our seats just a point and said you seats are over there. We then get seated an we wait 15 minutes to even get waited on. The only excuse was sorry I was on break. I should have read the reviews before eating here. I will not be coming back. It's Friday night and I did not feel like cooking, so I took the family out. The staff looked at us as a bother as soon as we walked in. Yes we have a toddler, he behaved for half of dinner. My nephew got a hair in his spaghetti. I live on camp pendleton just off of the harbor drive. So i have been here on various early mornings and late nights on saturdays after fishing on the pier. Its very clean, service has always been beyond exceptional. Prices are fair and never had a bad meal. The low calorie meals are excellent. I've been going to this Denny's for the last 11 years. Its always been one if my favorite ones around. The waiters/waitresses were personable and even if it was busy the staff handled it well. Last night however, the worst I have ever seen or been treated. Immediately, the hostess had a horrible attitude and was rude. Finally sat down and it seemed as though things went downhill quickly. I don't blame our waitress, she did her best and tried to be as pleasant as possible. Her coworkers were rude, arguing behind the counter with each other, snarky rude comments as they walked by our table, and the hostess threw money at my father when he said our meal was great but that the staff was really rude. I know it's Denny's, almost can't believe I'm reviewing. But dear manager, you are severely understaffed. One really hardworking waitress and one who couldn't be bothered. The phone was disconnected after being hung up on twice. Long story short they ran out of "real eggs" and gave us powdered... Oh wait we didn't get that far they didn't bring the drinks for 30 min. Manager didn't give a shit and nothin done of course.
