Horrible horrible service. Ordered delivery through the dennys website and they got the order all wrong and missed items. Called to get a refund and I have to go into the store if I want a refund but they sure as hell have no problem taking my money without me being in the store and the "manager" was fighting over every little detail on the phone telling me I was wrong. I will be disputing this charge and getting my money back without having to step into the store but maybe have some respect when speaking to people in the future. read more

Instead of paying high prices for Door Dash, we decided to order from dependable Denny's ! I ordered the pot roast dinner. Tasted almost as good as my Aunt's. Mashed potatoes yum. Let's see Monday night the place is completely dead. There are like 4 tables max. We walk in and sit down. 5 minutes goes by before the hostess takes our drink orders. She says your server will be with you in a moment. We waited 20 minutes as the server walks by over and over again without even acknowledging we were there. So after waiting 25 minutes with no acknowledgement we got up and left. The server came over and said I'm the only server working, okay but there are 4 tables and she never once apologized. We left and won't be back. A business does not deserve our hard earned money that literally does not care. If I could I'd give this place ZERO stars, we walk in and got sat by a lady who proceeded to get our drinks for us right away which we thought was great, never been to this location before, awesome. ABUSIVE EXTREMELY FREEZING TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE RESTAURANT!!! ABUSIVE Freezing cold restaurant Freezing temperature inside the restaurant. The dining room was freezing, we all wore our jackets , but anyway was hard to resist, even with jackets, even busy servers wearing a jackets wow!!!. Some people in the restaurant were wearing their jackets and one lady was wearing a hat and scarf also, this is ridiculous in Florida!! mostly when, the temperature outside was 63 F and inside the restaurant probably was 40 F or less, not kidding. We asked to please if they can lower the AC, they said than the AC was broken and they can change the temperature. I don't understand why people need to eat in an uncomfortable freezing place, like dinner inside the refrigerator ,or dinner outdoor in Alaska. We were trying to decide on a place to eat since it was later in the evening (around 8:00 pm) and Denny's was near the interstate. We were at immediately and it looked like they were a little busy - maybe 3 booths and 2 tables in our section had customers. We ordered our drinks and then eventually our food. He got the Chicken Parm from the $8 menu and a Oreo Milkshake and I got Moons Over My Hammy. In the past, the waitress has always gone ahead and made the milkshake so we can have something beside just drinks while we wait for our meal and since it wasn't ordered as dessert. It took well over 15 minutes for her to bring the milkshake to us. Then around 20 minutes after we got the milkshake to get our meal. After that, our waitress not once checked on our table to see if we needed refills or anything. My husband waited patiently for 15 minutes for a refill as she repeatedly checked on all the other tables several times. Finally it clicked I guess in her head that we were also her table still and she came over and offered a refill even though we had clearly been finished with our meals for 10 minutes. Our food was good... no question there. The portion size was nice and we were not able to eat everything. But the service sucked to say the least. I was pretty disappointed. read more

Stopped going there 2 years ago after waiting almost an hour for our order (how long does it take to make eggs??) and they were NOT busy. Decided to try them again yesterday for breakfast. Waited 35 minutes for our order, and AGAIN, not busy...it was wrong and cold. Left that dump and went to Steak & Shake up the road, had our order in 10 minutes, correct and hot. So I leave my job (3 minutes away) and arrive at 1:25. I go inside and the hostess was very nice and told me it's almost done that it would be about 5 minutes. Okay fine no problem. Worse service ever. Coffee cup came out dirty. Thought it was just over flow from the pour until after a few sips and the coffee level in the cup went down it revealed a heavy film on the side of the cup. Was so thick I was able to roll it on to itself and pull clumps of it off. We should have taken that as a sign and left then. When I pointed it out to the waitress (Emma) she said that it was only the coffee. Boy Ive never seen hot coffee film up a cup so fast. Then of course two guys that came in after us got 2 burgers and fries before we got eggs and pancakes at 10am. The guys were finished eating before we got our meals. It is Denny's. What can we expect. Casual, quick in & out, family dinning, so so service, and average taste. However, this cashier name Kaylee, at Orange City, FL; one who brought worst experiences ever!!! Making the Denny's... hmmm... really!!! O.K., Me and my family had breakfast and I was waiting at the cash register to take care the bill. After 3 to 4 minutes, this gentleman came next to me and waited for cashier as well. Few minutes after, Kaylee walk up to the register, without saying any word, grabbed gentleman's check and took care his transaction. What!!! And, she next completes the TOGO order transaction who were waiting by the bench. Uhhhhh... I got really pissed by how she prioritize her priorities. So I said, "did you know that I was here firt?". And Kaylee said, "oh, TOGO was waiting first". I look at her and said "No, the guy before the TOGO guy". And she looks at me like, 'so what!'. No apologies or no excuses. Purely Ignorance. I know it could be a small thing: but, if she doesn't know how to treat customers with respect, she should not working for restaurant industry, especially a big frenchies company like Denny's. I went to this location store 7291with my family and did not receive the best service. My server was very inattentive honestly I could not even tell you her name. I was there for about an hr and it took about 30-40 minutes to get my appetizer and maybe 45-55 minutes for my family's main meal. I was. It during a busy time that we went. My Cesar salad lettuce was all wilted, my avocado had large portions that were black. Honestly this poor customer service deserved a star. The reason I am giving it 4 is because I saw an amazing waitress there named Audrey who assisted the table behind me and was superb. I sat and watched her serves her tables and do a phenomenal job while I saw my waitress once. Next time I go I want to be seated in Audrey's area you should to. Also the manager on shift Joel was very nice and attentive to me when I addressed my frustration. He was also phenomenal with my children who waited an hr for the food. My wife and two grand kids went in last night around midnight for...... you guessed it ... a midnight snack. One girl got the lava cake which everyone had to try. Really really good! My wife got a junior banana split. Yep, they make such a thing and my wife is frail so half size is just right for her. I got half order of nachos. DO NOT EVER ORDER DENNY'S NACHOS. They are like a drug. Once you taste them, you are hooked! They are so good I can't begin to describe the layers of flavors. The other granddaughter and I shared those plus she also ordered couple of pancakes which are arguably the best including IHOP. The cherry on top of all this was Cyndi, our server and long-time friend. She saw us come in and was busy with an order so she called over and told us to take our usual table (we go there a lot). She brought our drinks and asked us about our grandson who was not with us. She is always smiling. Bottom line When you can get food this good at these prices (plus AARP discount of 15%) and the server makes you feel like you're eating at home with friends (no dishes to clean up!!!), why would you go anywhere else? Can't recommend Orange City Denny's high enough. Go there and you will find a wide range of food to choose from, including breakfast any time of the day or night. read more
