Convinced family to give Denny's a try for breakfast. It's been a couple years. I told my kids that Denny's was great when I was a kid. We arrived Sunday morning at 10:30, seated by 1040. Waitress arrived at 11:00 to get drink order. We decided to order everything at that time after waiting 20 minutes for her to show up. Drinks didn't arrive for another 15 minutes. Food arrived 10 minutes after that. Food order was correct, but everything not ready at the same time. As we left, my wife said, "Last time for this place". I have to agree. read more

I can just think of so many better places to spend $9 to $11 on a club sandwich or a fish and chips entree. Food was mediocre. Decor is tired, and the service was slow. Well, it's definitely not what it used to be, so I have to say with a new look and updated menu, this Denny's is worth a visit. Stopped in for breakfast, had myself a Fit Fare Veggie Skillet, and it was cooked well. The nice mix with egg whites, spinach, and grape tomatoes, it's a light meal with great taste. I've never been here in the morning, when most people eat breakfast, so I can't comment on that. I always end up here between midnight and 2 AM. The breakfast-type food at that time of day is outstanding! I've never had to wait longer than 20 seconds to be seated and the food has consistently arrived within 5-7 minutes of ordering. Price is also very reasonable. I have tried a number of IHOPs around town. Compared to this Dennys, they have all been a huge disappointment. read more

Ate breakfast yesterday with wife after medical procedure...was quite hungry. Place smelled musty when we walked in and generally looked like needing some sprucing badly. We sat and ate anyway and were mildly disappointed with the omelet we ordered because of the oregano in the dish...it overpowered the eggs. I guess if you are a big fan of oregano you would like it, we didn't. Waitress were pretty good though. Love Denny's in general but this one is off our list. read more

On Friday morning I went and had a wonderful experience with my wife and I with the server Chris!! today I walked in with my whole family and it was the complete opposite. I walked in and the restaurant was not even packed I would say it was empty. They had only 3 tables with customers eating. The hostess just looked up at us and said oh its gonna be 15 min wait then asked how may were in my party we were a total of 7 in total 5 kids and 2 adults she then said oh its gonna be more like 30 min and turned around didn't offer a seat just continued to charge out a customer. UPDATE - Denny's (this location) got a much needed overhaul and looks (and smells) like brand new on the inside. Went today at 10:30 am and the place was packed with customers. Customer service was very good with the very busy waitress arriving and tending to us shortly after we were seated. It took a little bit longer to get the meals out but not totally unreasonable for how crowded they were. I can now recommend this location and will probably become a regular myself. They did a great job of fixing their issues! read more

We live a few blocks away. This used to be our go to breakfast place. Between the new poor management and the change in the food (new pancakes, YUCK), poor service and cranky manager, this morning was the last time we're giving this location a chance. And good luck if you happen upon Nancy as a waitress. You'll wait a year for drinks and if you manage to wait for that her service is snarky and spotty all at the same time. read more

Usually order the chicken sizzlin' skillet and double the chicken. A simple plate of chicken, potatoes, onions, and peppers- usually comes with tortillas on the side as well. There's some cheese in their also with options to add sour cream. Simple, but really good, at least at this location. I've had it other spots and it falls short. The staff at this Denny's is always friendly and the waitresses bust their ass to get you what you want. This is noticed and appreciated. read more

We had a great waiter who was extremely polite, friendly, and attentive. I believe his name was DelShaun. Props to his momma for raising him right. This is the worst Denny's I have ever been to. The servers were rude and totally lazy. I swear on the application to work there was the question of "Do you currently smoke METH" if you answer yes then your hired. I will never go back to that Denny's and the owner should be ashamed for hiring those kind of people. What's to say about Denny's? It just is! Standard American diner fare, served 24 hours a day. Here in suburbia it's a resource for us night owls who stay up late and need a food fix at weird hours! And they do have grits with breakfast, not so common here in Kansas City. The server was nice but we were in a rush and waited for thirty minutes and finally had to request that our food be put in boxes so we can go and a member of our party could get to work. I like Denny's for breakfast and come on Saturday when my wife is working. Cheap but good breakfasts. I had a terrible server today named Deanna. If she smiled her face would probably crack. Another server brought my food while she stood around doing nothing. Never checked back to see how I was doing. Had to flag her down to get my coffee refilled. Was once a fine establishment. Was there this past Saturday for lunch and we walked into utter confusion. Waited at least ten minutes to be seated, and then forty five to get drinks, and another twenty to be served. Two other tables seated after us had their drinks and orders taken before us. Orders finally taken here we go again, we sat there. Just about ready to get up to leave, food shows up. Food was fair, I ordered the double cheese burger. To which I had to press flat because I sure as hell couldn't eat it like a normal burger. The other plates were spaghetti and meat balls with little to no spaghetti, omelette was good and blue berry pancakes. Male bathroom was a disaster, if employees actually WASHED their hands using soap, I'd be shocked, because I sure as hell couldn't get soap out of the dispenser. As a pescetarian, there are very limited options here. You can't get a fruit plate for breakfast, and all breakfast options have eggs. I made what I knew was a poor choice and ordered the salmon. Denny's needs to take this off of the menu due to an inability to cook it correctly. It was severely overcooked, dredged in oil, and fishy. I called on a Sunday because my credit card was charged twice on a day when the credit card system was jacked up all over town and got a call that Monday morning at 7:30 am saying both charges were being refunded. On December 19, 2011 my wife and I had lunch at this restaurant. We each a different type of salad and both were terrible. The presentation, preparation, ingeredients and taste were completely unacceptable. It's hard to imagine how anyone could ruin a salad but they can. Also, the service was terrible. For some reason the waiterss found it necessary to replace our condiment tray while were trying to eat It was about 12:45 and the diningroom was nearly empty.
