    Cali Club Sandwich
    Alma P.

Everything was so good until we saw the glass of water! It was so, so dirty. So disappointed. The service was quick. Food arrived not too long after we ordered and everything taste good. We had a California club sandwich, the steak plate with mashed potato and veggies. Also the half order of nachos and the Mac and cheese. It was late so lots of seat available. Usually this place gets packed at breakfast time. Ambience is casual and welcoming.

    Looks were unfortunately deceiving.

The best part of this location is the very kind staff. Unfortunately, my hunger couldn't be satiated by great service alone. The food here is the most bland I have had ever. When they say add seasoning to food, I'd expect at least a little bit of salt and black pepper in the mashed potatoes rather than serving rehydrated potato starch. The country gravy tasted like nothing and just had a texture of goo. The mashed potatoes were just mushy fluff. The best part were the wavy fries, which at least had salt on it. The country fried steak was a chore to eat, and I haven't even eaten all day either! I rarely get so disappointed with food that I get sarcastic, but as this was the first meal of my long day, I wish I went to McDonald's instead. Again, the folks at the front end were kind and very helpful. If only the kitchen supported them too.

Standard chain food fare We were staying at one of the nearby motels so this was a convenient place for dinner. The service was friendly and fast but the food is nothing special. It's just the standard chain food offering - very processed but good value for money.

No fucks given on this online order. T-bone steak and eggs. Where is the sunny side up eggs? Wait its under the t-bone steak and fries. Don't waste your time ordering or coming here to eat. Customer service sucks too with an attitude. Even after leaving a tip for making sure care was given on the online order.

I would probably give it 1.5 if I could. I went there for a 3 pm breakfast and ordered a waffle, two link sausages, two poached eggs and decaf coffee. They didn't have any decaf so I had to wait for them to brew a pot. I expected a regular waffle, as a photo not shown on the menu. Hah! What I got was one of those little sugared pocket waffles like the ones that are individually wrapped in a box at Walmart. I would swear that's what it was, as I bought them once. They are like the snack cakes. WTF? No wonder they're closing 150 of their restaurants. The service in this one has really gone downhill in recent years. Sad. That will probably be the last breakfast I ever have at Denny's. The waffle was just like one of these. Is that what it was?

This is the moons over my hammy omelet that I added and PAID for avocado and mushrooms with extra cheese! $23 for crap!

Great if you have all day to wait. Service is horrible. A long wait to be seated a longer wait to be serviced. Extremely unorganized.

When we arrived there was already a line, so clearly we weren't the only ones with the same idea! We only needed a table for two, and Cameron at the host stand was so sweet. She gave us the option of taking a table near the front right away or waiting for something a little quieter. We were hungry and ready to eat, so we happily took the first table. Thanks, Cameron, for getting us in! Our server Rosie was great. The first thing I asked for was orange juice, and she warned me they might be out but said she would check. Somehow I lucked out and got the last of it! Fresh squeezed, cold and absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu sounded good, and I seriously considered going the French toast route, but I spotted someone nearby eating the breakfast burrito and that made my decision for me. I kept it simple and ordered the breakfast burrito, and it was exactly what I wanted. Filling, flavorful and just really good. My partner ordered the biscuits and gravy with potatoes and loved it, especially that gravy. She liked it enough to ask for more! She also had a mimosa that she really enjoyed. Brunch. has that busy, casual neighborhood feel where people seem genuinely happy to be there. Nothing overly complicated, just really good breakfast food and friendly service. We would absolutely come back. Next time, I may finally have to try that French toast!

We had enough time to walk around the local park and got a call in only 12 minutes. Not bad at all! Brightly lit, clean, comfortable seating with throw pillows to use on the bench! Attentive servers checked on us every 5-10 minutes! We ordered the chilaquiles with avocado (should've added chorizo too), and the brunch hash (shredded pork shoulder with carrots and sweet potatoes and fried eggs on top). Appreciated the selection of hot sauces including our favorite Cholula on the table. Our entrees could've used more flavor/seasoning overall. The green salsa on the chilaquiles was mainly sour. The carrots and sweet potatoes on the hash made them predominantly sweet with a touch of zing from the jalapeños. A better balance of flavors would make the meal more memorable.

On this day, I was getting one of the cars detailed at Sunset North and decided to swing by Cowgirl Cafe for a slow and relaxed breakfast. Not my first rodeo here at Cowgirl. There is a very "Paso motif" call it western. It's open and inviting. ay be crowded on weekends, but this was a Wednesday morning and sleepy Paso was still sleeping. I took a seat at a booth and was immediately asked if I wanted to start my morning with coffee. Everything on the breakfast menu is good. I can't speak for the other meals, as this is one of the spots I frequent. Last visit for breakfast it was biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. Portions are well sized and you won't leave hungry. The staff is fun loving and attentive and they know their regulars when they come in. That's part of the allure of a small community, where everyone seems to know everyone. My coffee cup was never empty, always coming around, asking if I wanted a refill. Located just half a block off 13th Street on Pine Street, you will find this wonderful cafe. Good people. Good food. Recommend this as your breakfast stop!

Before we get into the meat & potatoes of this review, let me get something off my chest…read more I am ONE HUNDRED PERCENT not anywhere close to being a Cowboy, but I'll be damned if watching shows like Yellowstone on Paramount+ make me think twice about my life choices. I mean... Riding a horse on the open plains.... Wearing Levi jeans, a flannel shirt, with a big cowboy hat, a pair of cowboy boots, and rocking that big belt buckle sounds pretty cool to me. But being a Cowboy or a Cowgirl for that matter is more than just the catchy attire, it's a Lifestyle! Rooted in hard physical labor, long days, loyalty, deep respect and responsibility for the land and herding cattle are just some of the core values and responsibilities of being a true Cowboy/Cowgirl. Hell, I might not be a Cowboy, Yet... But I sure do respect the Lifestyle they live and for now, you can find me on the sidelines rocking out to my favorite country and Western artists: Morgan Wallen, George Straight, Garth Brooks and of course my Girls Reba, Lainey Wilson and Carrie Underwood. Heck, All I need now is my Cowboy Hat & Boots, Well, I suppose I should get a horse too ;) ------------------------ Now, Saddle up Partner, let's get this review on the road. It's time to EAT like a Cowboy and be where every Cowboy wants to be.... Cowgirl Cafe Enters the Chat! Yes, Every Cowboy that I know... Needs a Good Solid Meal to start their day off right. But more importantly than that... A Good, Strong cup of Hot Coffee! But even more important than that hot cup of Jamoka.... A Cowboy needs a Strong, Beautiful Woman by his side to wrangle him back in when he's out of line. Yeah, and just like you "Don't Mess With Texas", You definitely Don't mess with a Cowgirl! So when I ate at the Cowgirl Cafe in Downtown Paso Robles, I was on my best behavior. Located at 1316 Pine Street, this hole in the wall Cafe is where locals and visitors come together to break bread. A well themed decor diner that's open from 6am-2pm daily, The Cowgirl Cafe serves up a mean breakfast & lunch and boy did I enjoy it. 2 Eggs sunny side up, corned-beef hash, their Chef's Special Home Fry Potatoes, a side of toast, & a cup of coffee... All served with that hometown, local hospitality from our server who waited on us... You know, just like a cowboy, I tipped my hat to her and tipped her very well for her excellent service. As mentioned earlier.... The Cowgirl Cafe is open from 6am-2pm daily, so for you early risers who live the Cowboy life of waking up before the Sunrise, a hot meal will waiting for you. But don't fret if you are new to this Cowboy/Cowgirl rise and shine, get the day started off early business... Cause they serve breakfast up until 2pm (or until the cows come home). YeeHaw!!! Now, it's time to Cowgirl Up and stop pretending like this is your first Rodeo. Get on over to Cowgirl Cafe and Eat!

We ordered the veggie omelet, veggie scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast, and the kids pancake with bacon. Each entrée came with a choice of toast or an English muffin. One thing that really stood out was that, without us even asking, the staff split the dishes onto separate plates for everyone at the table. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made sharing so much easier. The veggie scrambled eggs were loaded with fresh vegetables, and the salsa added a great burst of flavor. I personally preferred the hash browns, they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The breakfast potatoes were also good, and the rest of my family actually liked those more. The pancake was huge and fluffy, and the French toast was finished with a dusting of powdered sugar. The kids pancake came in the shape of Mickey Mouse, which absolutely made my son's day. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. Between the exceptional service and delicious food, this has become my favorite breakfast spot whenever I travel to the South.
