CLEANEST DENNYS EVER! Marisol was so nice and polite, took our order right away and got everything we asked. She was even ready to get the beverages before we could ask for a refil. She even brought the kids fruit out so my children were content until the rest of the food was done..but seriously We got our food at the same time.. We stopped here before heading over to Hearst Castle. Figured we'd save some money and have a cheap breakfast first. Denny's restaurants are reasonably priced and the food is pretty good too. So when we saw this Denny's, we decided to pull on in and eat some grub. We were greeted and seated promptly. The service was attentive and efficient. The "Build Your Own Grand Slam" entrees that we customized to our own particular tastes were good. No complaints about the food. The restaurant itself was a little messy while we were there. They were not too busy, but there were many tables that were still not cleaned up. Would we stop here again? Probably not. Although, the food and service was fine. I believe that we would choose another spot next time in order to experience something new. Preferably a local spot and not a chain restaurant which we have in my hometown. read more

($5.99) Two eggs fried in the middle of a grilled Cheddar, two strips of bacon and crispy hash browns, topped with melted shredded Cheddar cheese and bacon. Right next to US-101 at 24th St. It's a Denny's, but good service and good quality by Denny's standards. Seemed to be using fresh avocado on my chicken sandwich, which is a plus. The front desk clerk/ janitor/ cashier/ greeter is way over head with all these jobs.rude, doesn't greet, can't get the names and list in order . This restaurant is a joke! This is the second time I have come here (first time was over 2 years ago) and today, it is safe to say that it has not changed. When we arrived we were seated by the manager and ordered our drinks, it took 15 minutes to get them. When she dropped them off they bother asking if we were ready and walked away. Forward 20 minutes and we were still waiting for someone to take our order. I had to get up and get the waitress (someone that was not the manager) to take our order as we had been forgotten. When we arrived there, and was pretty much immediately seated, which would have been a plus if anyone had come to our table in less than the 30 minutes that we waited. When i finally got fed up and I complained to the front, the lady obviously had forgotten we had even been seated. The server obviously didn't care about our table (as the younger you are the more terrible service seems to be) and we waited 45 minutes for water, and an hour for food. My hash browns were undercooked, and pancakes were black. The condiments tasted watered down and old. If we didn't flag down a server for the bill when we did it would have taken at least 20 more minutes to get out of there. I'm trying to think of any positives, but I honestly cannot. We used to go here often because they have free kids menu all the time. The food is almost always good but the time it takes to get the food is hit n miss. Last time we went, we took friends and told them it was a great place to go because of the free kids menu. First they couldn't figure out how to split our bill and then they charged our friends for their kids food. I asked for the manager even and they still refused to take the kids meals off our friend's bill. For less than $5, they lost regular customers on principle. Very disappointed. Randall was our server at this Denny's. I ordered a Bourbon Skillet. I have been ordering the skillets a lot lately. It has two breasts of chicken along with brocolli and mushrooms in a bourbon sauce. The meal tastes pretty good at most Denny's restaurants. At this location, the food was swimming in the sauce. The vegetables also tasted microwaved rather than steamed. I ate the meal but I would say its better than not having a meal to eat. This is the Most Inappropriate Dennys I have ever been to. We arrived about 1130 pm, not crowded at all. First impression, old and dirty. The staff was so unprofessional, yelling orders to one another as if no one could hear them. Our waitress was taking an order from the table behind us and I overheard her tell them about her experience with acid and mushrooms! The waitresses were young and the oldest lady there might have been a supervisor, But there was no protocol. We waited forever for our food and couldn't find the waitress for our check. We ended up going to the counter, the old lady kinda of sensed our frustration, but never acknowledged it. I have never been to a Dennys like this. Don't they have standards? Bad, bad, bad! This place is so slow! Slow to be seated, slow to approach our table to take drink orders, slow to get our order and slow to check out. My husband and I ordered a club sandwich and fries to share. They brought our order out and stuck the plate in the center of the table. What? No extra plate, so one of us could put our portion on it? Oh and my strawberry lemonade was more like strawberry water! I don't think there was and lemonade in it at all!
