This was the best place we ate at during our vacation in Pigeon Forge Tennessee . Excellent wait staff, excellent food and great music. I had a sirloin steak the first night and it was delicious. We had steak at Texas Roadhouse the next afternoon-- and it couldn't compare to Denny's. This Dennys is hurting for employees, but you would never know it, except for the wait time. We visited at 2 pm during the week, and our server, the phenomenal Rosie, had been there since 6, and she was the only server for the whole restaurant. Because of this, the sweet hostess was seating tables slowly- having customers wait in the lobby for a short amount of time before seating them, to better help the flow of service. The party that was waiting before us decided not to wait the entire 3 minutes that it would have taken them to get seated- they left with poor attitudes despite their young son saying- it's going to take more time than this to drive somewhere else and wait. Smart words! Rosie handled all of her tables wonderfully, with a smile on her face despite the fact she had to be exhausted- drinks were never empty, our food was delicious, and she offered us to go drinks. Ordered food and never received it for over an hour. Customer service is not good.

I placed a online order at 6:36pm, it was supposed to be ready at 6:56p. It wasn't ready at that time which was fine. My issues are that the MANAGER, Tarina(thats what another employee told me her name was) has absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I told her my name. She handed my order to another customer didn't call out a name or anything. They began opening up my food to check if it was theirs and after a while they were like hey this isn't ours. Then she tried to hand it off to me like I would want it. I told her NO, I want our food remade fresh. This was around 7:20 ish. My husband and older son have pre existing health conditions and we're in the middle of a pandemic so my mind couldn't comprehend the filthiness of it all. SHE REALLY TRIED TO SERVE ME FOOD THAT HAD BEEN HANDLED BY OTHER CUSTOMERS, IN THE MIDDLE OF A FUCKING PANDEMIC! I asked for a refund but being that the order was placed online she told me I couldn't be issued a refund. So I asked how much longer it would take she told me 10 minutes. In my mind, It seemed highly unlikely that an order that big would take 10 minutes to recook especially considering it had already took almost an hour for that order to be ready. I had no choice but to wait. So another 20 something minutes go by and I received more food. It was the previous food and the items were wrong. I ordered a Super Bird with seasoned fries but received a hammy sandwich I believe which is with ham, bacon and scrambled eggs. I didn't receive my egg over medium which was really the only thing I was concerned about. I went back to the counter and told the manager that my egg wasn't on my bag and also asked for the corporate number and her name. She acted as if she didn't hear me and went to the back. When she came back I asked for a refund again. I also told her she was supposed to ask for or say the name before handing food to customers. I asked for her name she told me she didn't have to give me her name! They didn't even have the decency to fix us fresh food. I had to call for another employee to get info about filing a complaint and her name. She should be fired ASAP and if I have my way she will be! $66.39 went down the drain! I didn't leave Denny's until 8pm. Imagine wasting that much time after placing an online order, having your WRONGLY MADE FOOD handed off to someone else and rummaged through during a pandemic (even if it weren't a pandemic that's fucking cross contamination) then having the same food repackaged 20 something minutes later! -5 stars is their rating from me! The Food and the Service was EXCELLENT... HOW EVER; While getting information from a server, the manager Jeremy came by and yelled at her... this made us feel very uncomfortable during my wife and myselfs meal... was unable to talk to Jeremy; as he was not around afterwards... this happened 1 May 2019 about 7PM We visit this Denny's very frequently on trip to Pigeon Forge and have never had this happen before... Check your receipt. Charged for adult chicken tenders when I ordered and got a child's meal. Too many customers and not enough waiters. Drinks weren't refilled. Waiter forgot to put our meal in for 30 minute. 2 sets of customers that came in after us plus they got their meals , so when I asked waiter ... he forgot to place our order. First was an hour wait second the salad that I orderd was brown and slimy. When asking to speak to the manager. When the manager who said her name was Angel came over she. I showed her the salad she said she would take it off and I was fine with it. But when I asked her for a refill she stated that we did not have to wait if we took ourself to waffle house. When I asked her to repeat herself because I was in disbelief. She repeated it again in a nasty attitude stateing we could take our asses to waffle house. On late of the night in Pigeon Forge we have decided to go over at Denny's as almost every restaurants were closed that's closest to the hotel and Denny's were luckily open as we were looking for something to eat for dinner so Denny's was it. It was five of us as a group went over to Denny's to order some dinner, I decided to order something that wasn't on the menu so I ordered gravy on the biscuits with sun-up eggs on the side along with hash browns. The rest of the group ordered some kinds of dinner-type foods so I was the only one who ordered breakfast for dinner I believe and everyone's foods were expensive but mine weren't as it only costed me four dollars for my plate. The gravy on top of the biscuits were very delicious, probably one of the best gravy & biscuits I have ever ate in my life because they are my favorite foods of all-time, I wouldn't exactly say it's my overall favorite because my favorite is my mother's but I can definitely say that the Denny's gravy & biscuits is probably #2 gravy & biscuits I have ever ate along with their delicious sun-up eggs and hash browns which were fried to the perfection. Once I took a bite of the gravy & biscuits, that was it and I was out there in the dreamland so that says a lot of how much I really loved their gravy & biscuits. Now to the service, the waitress who served us were very friendly but what bothers me the most was that an employee in black shirt which I am assuming either a supervisor, manager or chef who constantly following the waitress every time the waitress came back to us to make sure that our dinner were pleasurable. The manager came by several times and helped clear empty plates away, she was very nice. Our waitress was also prompt and nice, food came out hot and just right. Place was very clean. I ordered the omelet, hash brown meal and my son ordered the T bone meal. Several people arrived after us but got their food first. My hash browns were burned, both the omelet and hash browns were greasy. The pancakes were so cold the butter wouldn't melt. There was clearly a difference in my potatoes and my son's. I sent mine back, when the second plate came back it was just as greasy. I asked if they knew how to cook without all the grease. I just had enough told them I didn't want it either. They did take it off the bill but we went there to eat together, not have to send food back and still get nasty greasy food the 2nd time. Would give 0 stars if I could. read more

I honestly don't really know what to say about this place. We came on New Years Eve, around 11pm and it took them a long time to bring the food. They ran out of several food items too and when it was time to pay I almost couldn't find someone to process the bill at the cashier. I can't complain about my food because it was good. Then we came in a couple of days later to buy a soup for my baby nephew and they didn't have soup, even at 1pm in the afternoon. Also, when we came in the first time to the restaurant, it took a while for them to sit us down, even though there was no one else waiting. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

My husband took me to Tennessee for my birthday. The first place we went to was Dennys. Our waitress was Virginia. We loved her. She was so friendly and took our order swiftly while still chatting with us. She checked on us numerous times during our meal always smiling. The steak we ordered was so tender and juicy (better than any I have had at a steakhouse) and came out in a timely manner. We ate at Dennys for 5 days straight, sometimes breakfast and supper and we requested Virginia as our waitress every time. We want to thank Dennys and Virginia for making my birthday trip so enjoyable. The place was great. We (a family of 8) were only in the area 4 days and visited twice. We had the same waitress both times. Casey was awesome! She was very attentive and sweet. She knew what we wanted before we even asked for it. The first time we went it was between meal times and the place was pretty dead. She was bussing tables in between and just singing up a storm and really enjoying her job. The second time the place was packed but she was still just as attentive as the first time 2 days previous. She recognised us right away and asked if we were having the same thing. When we said yes, she remembered exactly what we wanted right down to the drink choices and the extra crispy bacon. Two of the orders of eggs were undercooked, but new ones were cooked and returned to our table within minutes. We will definitely be back the next time we visit. Food was average. Service was poor. 55 minute ticket time. I spoke to the manager on duty and explained to him about the long wait he claimed my wait was 28 minutes. I corrected him and told him don't tell me what time she put the order in. I know what time I arrived (10:30). Food arrived at table at 11:35. I went on to tell him that an eight top sat down after us and was finished eating as we received our food. No second chances at this Denny's. Plenty of competitors on the parkway. Our server kelsey was amazing she explained they were short staffed but you would have never known all of the servers did an amazing job and were all upbeat even after I witnessed our server along with another server getting screamed about by the general manager Maryjoe on 2 separate occasions in the dining room for myself and every other customer in the restaurant to see and hear. My family (my wife, our 7-year-old son, our 3-year-old son, and I) tried to eat here for dinner on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 around 6:30 PM following our day at Dollywood. The place wasn't that crowded and we stood at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes. During this time, there were a couple of employees behind the main counter and one server who entered the dining room. Was told that we couldn't substitute any sides on our meals because of financial issues within the company, didn't realize it mattered if I wanted some damn hash browns instead of eggs, and then had to wait forever to pay because there was apparently only one person in the building who could run the register. On a tourism level and standard costumer service, most definitely not on point. Our server did great, although there was no silverware or ketchup on the table and was lucky to get their monster 64oz bottle of ketchup from Kroger. Restaurant is dirty, there's no greeting neither at hostess stand or at the table. We were asked "how many" then hand signaled to come on back, lady drops menu and walks away. Well it started off with a 35 min wait last night about 1030 pm and we didn't mind to wait well when we got seated we ordered and waited about 35 to 45 mins for our food and when we got it it was cold and the server said the cooks were backed up with Togo orders there was only a handful of people in the restaurant idk what the cook were doing but they dint know how to cook food in time with the other food so everything comes out hot! read more

When you go to a Denny's you expect a specific kind of experience. Nothing outstanding, but it's simple enough that they should be able to get it right well enough that you leave full, satisfied, and not much lighter in the wallet. Service was slow. I blame this on the kitchen, since when we got the food itself, it was all right. But the waitress never bothered to clear the table of empty stuff, so we were left with a tall pile of stuff by the end of the meal. To be fair, she did keep our drinks full, which was nice. But I was looking for the table to be clearer. The only reason I gave it two stars was because the manager gave me a discount when I told her how disappointed I was in the experience, which was the worst I'd had in Tennessee or Kentucky. read more

We go to this Denny's every year multiple times while we are one vacation. This year by far was the worst we have ever had. We are a family of four adults. It would take up to 30-40 min to get our food and when it did start coming out it was at all different times (my dad was almost done with his food before I even got mine) and every meal was missing something. Had dinner here tonight since we are staying behind the restaurant, and my only huge gripe is the place was super dark inside and the cooks were screaming in the back I guess goofing off, and this place has some serious acoustics that made it so loud it echoed. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly, food came out fast. It wasn't the greatest, kids chicken nuggets were a little over cooked, but still edible. The salads were great and fresh. I ordered the sirloin steak well done, but it came out medium well. Not too big of a deal really. The potatoes that came with the senior country fried steak were dry and not edible. Typical dennys style except we were missing the hangover that usually comes with this style of food lol read more
