Food was great and hot! We sat at the counter and Heather was our server. There was a long wait but we asked to sit on counter since some people would like a table. Got seated right away. Our order took a long while but they were slammed. I am a short fuse person but I try to contain myself. Anyway I asked Heather to please give me some hot pancakes as the others had been sitting there a while. I know , but I asked nicely. Heather did get fresh pancakes for me and my husband and food was great. Thanks Heather for getting my meal to me hot ! While sitting there I saw everyone hustling. Service is slow here, I went with my dad and we waited pretty much 45 minutes. I'd understand if it was a group of people but it was just us both and we ordered breakfast plates like eggs and hash browns. The toast was cold as well even though it looked toasted. The hash browns can be a 50/50 chance being cold or just crunchy through all layers (like hard crunchy no softness beneath/inside) Our server didn't even stop by to refill my drink or ask for a refill so I drank one cup of tea. My family and I went to Denny's early this morning and had a great experience. We arrived at 7:10 AM and were already back in our car by 8:04 AM. Super efficient without feeling rushed! Even though there was only one hostess/waitress, Paula, she handled everything with such friendliness and professionalism. She was managing multiple tables, but still made us feel taken care of. Huge shoutout to Paula for being so awesome! The food? Absolutely scrumptious. Everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful. One thing I really appreciated was the Denny's Rewards Program. We had breakfast there this morning. It was crazy there due to it being Veterans Day. This place is amazing. They have it down to a science. They put you on the waiting list, call you in when it's your turn, seat you, waitress comes right over( very cordial & polite), takes your order, you can watch the window as the food comes out, they have a quality control person checking all the food before it is served to the customer. The service was great and the restaurant seemed to be very clean and very well taken care of. Upon walking in the place was a bit quiet. Lots of tables un-bussed. We were told to seat ourselves and then had to wait a good 20 minutes just to get our menus and drinks ordered. This was done by a kitchen worker since they noticed no waitress had tended to us. She then took our order as well. About 5 minutes after that our waitress asked if we had been helped. I placed an order online for two meals and a drink a Dr Pepper and gave a tip and when I received the items they fill the cup of Dr. peppers 3/4 of the way. There was no way that they didn't know that they didn't fill the cupboard because I noticed immediately and took this picture as I was walking out. I paid for 100% of the soda. This is the cleanest Denny's I've been to in a very long time. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous which reflects both on them individually and on the manager. When I ordered, I expected a little bit of a wait, but the food came out FAST. I had the Classic Benny Breakfast with an excellent Hollandaise sauce and crispy English muffins. This Denny's is worth stopping by. The team work and dedication the staff has is outstanding. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the Host Jemaree and sat us promptly. My daughter and I love Dennys for breakfast. In Burbank, the restaurant is spacious and there's plenty of parking. There's an even nicer one near the Burbank airport. This Dennys however, is small and cramped. You can smell your neighbor's pancakes and there's a good mix of tattooed veteranos (and not as in Military) and cops. The parking is a hot mess to even get in to. You have to enter by the Santikos and wind your way back although they just opened a Carls Jr in front of Dennys and they have a tiny drive way that you can sneak in through, however, you can't cross over to the Denny's side due to a border. I parked there anyway. So once you figure out how to get to the parking lot, then you walk in to the small entrance and hope to get seated. Service is slow. Our waitress took a good 10 minutes just to take our drink order but by that time we were ready to order our meals. Now the food is always good at Dennys regardless of the service. However, there were many other errors that might make me not go back to this location. My daughter received only ONE crayon when they usually have two. We have to play tic tac toe and it doesn't work with only orange. Our waitress disappeared from our section so we wound up asking the other waitress for help. I wound up tipping her instead and gave our waitress the minimum my consciousness would allow. When I paid at the counter, I mentioned it to the cashier since he was asking, and he said "Oh, that's Martha. She's been here 25 years. She goes at her own pace." Umm, ok. Good to know! read more
