Friday family night dinner here and seriously disappointed. Wish I could say it's the first time this happened. Seems like big groups are a struggle for them. We got there before our group. My husband ordered a salmon on a salad. Not difficult, it was. I ordered a burger and fries. The other meal was a pulled pork sandwich with fries. We were at least 30 minutes ahead of the rest of our group. They got their food orders before us. We finally asked the manager what the deal was. She explained that salmon takes longer, yes if she went fishing for it. We usually order the salmon on salad plate and it's never taken this long. The salmon was over cooked this time around. My dad ordered a shrimp plate and complained that it was dry and over cooked. He didn't even eat his food. The waitress obviously didn't say anything to her manager either. The rest of the party had no issues with their meals. We didn't order the shrimp cocktail because on our last visit, it had fish bones in it and the avocado was brown. Food took a long time to bring to our table even though she assured us there were only 3 tickets in front of ours. The tables around us that sat down after us got their food way before us. Ordered a side that had an up charge, but didn't get that either so I asked her to remove that and she did. Server never asked for refills, my husband had to get up to get them. I'm very disappointed with the food and service from Willie's today. We decided to order some food via Door Dash. When the food arrived we noticed that Willie's forgot to put our dressing in the bag. Therefore, we had to take a trip to the store which was the whole point of ordering via Door Dash to begin with (avoiding the drive) To top it off, the croutons were very stale and the tomato's tasted old. There were also old pieces of lettuce. Like I said before, very disappointed with the service and the food. It looks like someone double checked the bag to make sure everything was inside the bag as they marked off the items on the receipt. However, there was no dressing. Willie's food has always been hot and fresh. I've had it delivered and have gone in-person. I've never had a bad meal, a sad fry, or wilted lettuce. They do a good job every time. You can't go wrong with anything in the menu. Dining-in is good too. It's a spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The misters are on in the summer. I like that I can see my car from inside. There have been some break-ins in the area. Order up front but pay at the table. Plenty of wait staff all around. Paper towel rolls are at each wooden table. I dont see how this restaurant has a 3.5 rating. I came cause of the rating and i didn't want to drive all the way to 151. I lived ini palo alto area for 5 years and this was my first time visiting this location. The hostess was rude. I could definitely tell that he didn't want to be there. I sure wouldn't so i get that. I paid nearly $60 for my wife and I to eat. She probably had maybe 3 or 4 bites. The street corn was nasty. When we told the waitress that the street corn was nasty, the waitress got a nasty attitude and retorted that my wife didn't need to say that the food was nasty but it didn't taste good. I didn't know that we were not allowed to express how we felt about the food. It looked like it was dug out of the trash can and then sauce was drizzled on it. I asked the person taking the order if the mashed potatoes had skins in it. They said no and it had skins in it. I asked if the shrimp was deveined and your order taker or the girl at the registered didn't know what i was talking about. How do you work at a restaurant that serves shrimp and not know what that means? That should have been my dead giveaway that this restaurant is not a quality diner but more of a hangout spot. I mean i would have been better going to long john silvers. I do however have to say my wings were good. They were enormous and the sauce on it was good. Again hangout spot. Not a quality diner. But then if you want a hangout spot why spend $60 when you can go to mcdonald for a fraction of that cost? My wife hated it so I don't think i'll be coming back. I might just come back for myself for the wings....they were delicious!!! Oh and here is a tip. The next time you decide to make your diner wait 20 minutes to pay for their trashy food, dont expect them to do the right thing and wait. I couldn't find my waitress to flag her down. Maybe that's why I didn't get any soda refill. Also don't expect a tip when they ask for help on redeeming the free appetizer for joining your loyalty program and you answer is "oh its somewhere on the app". Yeah, the price i paid for the appetizer was your tip. Its not the standard 20% but you pissed me off so i wasn't going to give you an additional $3. Don't piss off your diner. The food was either too seasoned or not seasoned at all. For two people, we ordered the brisket mac n cheese balls, onion pieces, country fried steak, and the shrimp and catfish combo, with a drink. The total was $53. The server was friendly and came by often. Even though you initially get your own drink when you order, the server does the refills. The place started to get crowded around dinner time, so obviously others enjoyed the food, but I was not impressed. There's plenty of parking, but in order to get to this place from the highway, it's like driving in circles until you find it. A little weird. read more

I think the last time I reviewed this restaurant was during the Covid lockdown. Well things have changed at Willies. They now have a bar where you can sit and enjoy people watching or a sporting event. The food is delicious, I had the cheeseburger for lunch and it was very good. The bun was fresh, the meat was seasoned well and tasted great. The French fries were crispy with a soft core, if you're in to French fries you know what I'm talking about. My wife had the chopped steak. Lots of onions and mushrooms on top of that steak so be aware. It tasted great and my wife loved it. The service at Willies was pretty good. We had a good server and that makes all the difference. Willies is a great place for all kinds of American food, shrimp, burgers, chicken fried steak, etc. I like it, and I think you would too. read more

Wasn't the biggest fan of my Caesar salad but it was fairly large for $11 but I did really like the blackened shrimp. I have only visited once but it was pretty cool looking inside. We got the 3lb crawfish boil with snow crab - Cajun seasoning. I LOVE that they include mushrooms. We also got the fried pickles as an appetizer. The food was very good - could have been spicer but the crawfish was cooked correctly at this Willie's. The service was terrible, though. We ordered at the front; food on one tab, beer on another. When we ordered another round, it took a long time, just for draft. We had all wanted salt on the rim; only one was that way. We arrived at 2:30 so it wasn't busy. When we paid, we handed the correct credit cards with the correct tabs (one over $100, the other only $36). She mixed them up!; Came back to me saying my card would only take part of the bill. I was confused but handed her another card. Then when I went to sign, I saw the mistake. I asked for a mgr but the server said she would correct it. She did but of course the credits won't be refunded for a couple of days; just a mess!! The mgr did come to our table; apologized but offered no reasons or compensations. I've been a restaurant mgr before and I would have at least offered a coupon or $10/$20 credit for a return trip. We were visiting friends out of town and this could have really messed up our trip if we were low on funds. I know I'll go back to another Willie's before crawfish season is over, because we love the atmosphere. But I will be more specific and more watchful in the future. read more
