The employees were amazing and they are very quick with the service. It was not loud in there either which I like for a morning brunch. The omelet I had was the veggie omelet. It was well cooked and I enjoyed Tmthe hash browns and toast as well. The only thing that is a little off is the pricing. The place might not look new, and it's next to the Motel 6, but it was clean and not damaged as others wrote. Writing this review because we encountered the worst service and I am very displeased. Our waitress named Gaby here in San Ysidro was extremely rude and did not provide us with good service. I asked for more coffee and she asked if the small pot was empty. I told her yes and she didn't even want to grab it and when she brought us the coffee she slammed it on the table. Also, she never provided us a smile or any type of attention as far as if we Wanted anything. I believe that we deserve respect and at the Denny's in Coronado we receive great service at all times. read more

So I'm starting this off with giving it two stars because they take EBT otherwise we get one. I don't know why all Denny's don't take EBT. I really should give them three stars for that, but I was really hungry. I rarely ever get a full meal at Denny's. I usually just get like a shake but today like I said I was hungry so I ordered hamburger and fries. And it came ice cold. no big deal. I told the waiter and he looked at me like I was speaking a different language. He asked me if I'd like to just have it warmed up. I really wish I could've said yes but I'd put mayo and ketchup all over it, so I asked him yo make a new one. I pretty sure if ur not Hispanic, ur food goes yo the back of the line. so he took my plate and returned 10 minutes later with my same hamburger and fries that appeared to have been putt in a microwave or something. When I asked him again if I could just have my order remade hot, his response was a really annoyed facial expression and it felt that I was gonna get my food spit on definitely and it probably did get spit on, but I was so hungry. When he returned with my new fresh order, it was only half of patty and it was made like he hated me. And I never write really bad reviews and I try to balance it with good reviews. This is the first time I've eaten at this location and the last!I have been to so many dennys locations and the food quality at this one is by far the worst I've ever had! I'm actually rather upset. Were getting sloppy with food quality. Then they wonder why people get sick. It should always be quality over time. I placed an order to go. I ordered a breakfast plate. I kid you not my order was ready in less than 5 min. Like I had pancakes included and sausage and bacon I at most expect for that food to be ready in 7 to 10 at most for everything. So I work 5 minutes away. My food would not be cold in that amount of time. But it was. Cold like someone else had ordered it and it ended up not going out. So the food was not hott. At all. Not even warm. The cheese was not melted on the eggs.. Sausage was under cooked so I couldn't eat those. Bacon was also not fully cooked. Pancakes were not fresh. Actually still a bit uncooked in the middle so after all that I only got to eat a portion of the eggs. I was so hungry and left with this type of food! Thats simply awful. On top of that which I swear I can't make up their was an eyelash in my eggs. I don't know who the cook is but clearly they hired someone who doesn't care about people getting sick. So therefore I don't care if he looses his job. If you don't care about your customers I really don't care about your job. I'm beyond upset that dennys has snooped this low in quality. I never leave reviews, but I felt this one was needed. To the lady with crazy red lipstick that calls her self a "manager" you need to keep your attitude in check. You were so unprofessional and rude you were a straight up Hispanic KAREN. I was simply trying to be nice and tell you that those pancakes had a bad taste, so maybe others wouldn't experience the same thing. It seems like there is no redemption for this place. this would be my third visit and it would end up being the worse. The place was packed. I sat at the bar because there really was no other option. If I could 0 stars I would. I've come several times to this location thinking previous visit service was horrible because it was a bad day but I was wrong. I came and it was slow, the entire right side was empty except our table and still service was horrible. Server took a while to ask what we were drinking, finally he came and brought our drinks. Once ordered, our food took forever as well. With a slow environment, it doesn't make sense for a long waiting period. Especially being the only table on the right side. Then to make it worse the server says there isn't enough meat for the nachos ordered. I would think that would be something said sooner. Instead of making us wait the entire time. So one in our party was left waiting for food. Honestly, I am a strong Denny's fan, but this Denny's is the worst. Bad service, bad timing, they need to work on their customer service. read more

Denny's San Ysidro you can do better than this for your southern community! The booth that I sat in had a GIGANTIC TEAR in the seat and didn't look very clean. The breakfast was OK.. Bacon taste a day old and the service was subpar! Waitress never returned to offer any refills etc.. The owner of this Denny's should be ashamed and needs to do some serious remodeling, but I feel they won't.. They don't care about the San Ysidro community in South San Diego. Came in here Friday night at about 830, usually you're asked to wait to be seated, at least at all the Denny's I've been to before. We waited quite a bit while a cashier dealt with an unhappy customer, when he finished he looked at us and said "hey guys have a seat anywhere ill be with you soon" so we sat down and while I was there I noticed that the cashier and one other guy was on the floor and what looked like the manager was in the kitchen cooking. Worst Denny's I've ever been to!!! Do not waste your time and money here! We came to this location for breakfast/brunch on Sunday only because our regular location was too busy. I really did not want to come to this location because we had came here on Christmas and it was not that great. My husband insisted to come here as it is the next closest to our house. He said if it was not good this time we would never come back. Fine.... We sat at the bar area instead of waiting for a table. Took the server a while to take our drink order. Its busy, so fine. We order. My meal comes. My Eggs are cold. My husband's fries are cold. We ask for new fries and I keep my eggs because I didn't want to make a big deal. My French toast was more like a slice of bread. It did not have enough egg to taste any different the a slice of bread. My husband also ordered a side of pancakes that never came. Probably a good thing considering how the rest of our food was being served. To top off our horrible experience, when I was putting Tabasco sauce on my hash browns the small plastic top was removed and my hash browns where covered in hot sauce!!!! So annoying. This morning I went to go have breakfast at this Denny's with my sisters, mom and niece but the service was horrible. We got sat at a dirty table that still had empty used glasses and took us a while to finally get someone to wipe down the table. The server was nice but was taking a while which we understood but after 40 minutes went by my mom asked a lady on an estimate on the food since we had been waiting 40 minutes to get our food but the answered in such a horrible way that we were all confused and angry at the fact that she had spoken that way to our mom. We were really upset but the original server we had promised us 5 more minutes and because she apologized for her and was nice to us we waited the 5 minutes. The rude waitress kept giving us dirty looks and it was honestly just a horrible experience. My mom loved this place and has been coming here since I was little but after this we will not be coming back. I've read reviews about this same lady and will be adding a photo of her which I stole from a different review. I hope something is done about this issue because people like this shouldn't be talking to people and ruining their day and experience at the restaurant. read more

Out in the boonies for a client...theres not a lot open late around here...this is a great option. Clean, well lit...all the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. I tried the Salmon Skillet an (healthy ish...spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes & red skinned potatoes as a bed for a surprisingly tasty salmon). Well prepared and delicious...
