What can you say about Denny's that hasn't already been said?! This 24-hour breakfast chain restaurant has been frequented by pretty much everyone over the years. I've been to quite a few locations over time, mostly at night as it's one of the few sit-down places open late. I visited this location on a Friday night around 9:30 p.m. I had no trouble parking in their complimentary lot. Ambiance (3/5): Nothing special, your typical diner. Similar to IHOP. Spacious with lots of booths. We sat at a booth on the left hand side of the restaurant. For part of our visit, we were the only people there. I imagine a lot of people come in around 2 a.m. after the bars close. Service (3.5/5): Pretty average service. Not terribly attentive, not terribly friendly, but good enough. I was seated promptly and asked for my drink order promptly. After that, things slowed down a bit. The type of situation where you have to grab the waitress' attention to get your bill. You pay at the counter. There was a little snafu with my bill but she handled it well and ended up saving me around two bucks. Drinks (4/5): While they don't have alcohol or anything, they do have more than your typical soft drinks, juices, coffee, and tea. Milkshakes! I love a good milkshake and didn't pass up on the opportunity during my most recent visit. I went with the Oreo one, no whipped cream. Not the best I've ever had, but pretty affordable. Food (3/5): Denny's is known for their breakfast, but it's a huge menu that consists of a lot of lunch items too. Diner style. I wasn't too hungry so I went with two crepes which are stuffed with berries, strawberry sauce, and vanilla cream. The crepes were pretty solid, the fillings, pretty average. Which pretty much sums up the food at Denny's. Mediocre but affordable. Not the type of place I would run to come back to, but if it's late night, when options are limited, and you want to dine in, not a shabby choice. read more

We were following up on our annual tradition of going to Denny's after a Spring Training game. I just love looking at a menu that is coded with gluten free options. I got the sizzling chicken fajitas in a skillet. It did take a little longer to get our order but it did come out sizzling. The food is pretty much what you would expect for that price point. The server was friendly and efficient. The coffee was hot and they even brought out milk for me. The restaurant was clean. read more

I'm giving 3 stars solely because of our server. It just isn't what it once was. The food? Well, the mozz sticks were alright. If I go again, I'll skip the chicken 'wings', 'bites'? They weren't good. I was with someone intoxicated, that's the only way it even flew. As I said, server was great, that's about it on this one. read more

Dishonest. I ordered a plain naked steak, no oils, nothing on it, with hash browns. I was hungry. server brought it o gave her $20 tip. Then I noticed the steak had oil all over it, as well as seasonings. I returned the steak, ate the hashbrowns. Total waste. now I'm gone, and still hungry. read more

Sat down for a couple minutes people were nice gotten water from male worker who was nice but sadly left a hair in my water. Jackie has attended us as my waitress told her just needed a few minutes due to again just now getting menus. Few minutes goes by already know what me and my table want and Jackie has not attended us for over 15 to 20 minutes. More minutes flew by all i hear is loke a sickness coughing in the back of kitchen that sounded like a booger was about to be spat. Place wasn't packed at all 10:37 on a Thursday, it was a really bad and sad experience that so many health codes were violated and how long the wait was. read more

The food was extremely good The new strawberry sweet cream Fresh toast is worth the visit to any Dennys. The egg whites were seasoned perfectly as the bacon was cooked just right! He was awesome as he, really went over and beyond not to mention that he was impressive, not writing down orders but remembering them. My stars go to this human waiter. They are extremely short staffed and are in need of help as they had over an hour wait with only 2 employees cooking and only 2 employees serving from what I witnessed. I'm not sure that they were chef's because it appeared to have been 2 other employees who jumped in, to cook all of the food. (Which was yummy and hot) I could be wrong but they were back there scrambling to get food out! I didn't like that, they have a sit up bar area where normally they would allow for you to sit, without waiting in line but they didn't allow it. I also didn't like that they didn't wipe tables and seating down with cleaning solutions because it smelled like a cat urinated (which I like) was in the restaurant and the smell was hard core, as the table over also noticed it. Overall, the food and service from the waiter was awesome but probably won't go back to this location because of how long it takes and because of being understaffed with a long wait time. read more

This Denny's is always a bit of a visit to The Twilight Zone but always has the most sincere service and the best food! I look forward to taking a break from a busy work day here at this location in Scottsdale and always appreciate how clean the restaurant and restroom is kept. Maria today was absolutely lovely. So kind and handled the front of house so nicely. Eye contact and energy was more like being at home with family than being at a food chain for a meal that might typically be a more unpleasant experience. Thank you Maria! We ended up here after plans to go elsewhere fell through.. we were pleasantly surprised to find a senior menu with smaller portions and prices, but all the flavor! 3 of 5 in our group were able to take advantage of those offers and loved the baked cod especially.
