So sad. Denny's used to be a decent place. Just ordered the All American. Eggs weren't scrambled with cheese. The cook just dropped some cheese on top of the eggs when he put them on the plate. Scrambling the eggs and cheese together actually give them a different flavor, and that's what I was looking for. Sausage links are about half the size they used to be. And the bacon? I went in to have breakfast just now. The restaurant was pretty busy. I have worked in a restaurant and I understand the stress. Sat down at the counter and ordered. Man about 15 minutes went by. Then I saw the cooks place my order under the hot lights. Almost 6 minutes went by before the server brought it to me. Put my hand over it and it was cold. I told the server it was cold. I don't know why my last review was deleted, maybe because they thought I was joking around and being silly, but I was very upset with this restaurant. The fact is their food upset my stomach, I had to use the restroom, and their employee pushed his way past me to get to the only stall first. He clogged the toilet and walked away from it leaving me in a lot of pain since I couldn't use the stall. The food is greasy. The service is okay. The environment is a little run down. I went here on a weeknight in April, I was staying overnight in the hotel that's shares the parking lot. I ordered Belgium waffles with a vanilla shake. Overcooked the waffle it became hard. Noticed the butter wasn't melting and found out that it was margarine. Waitress said all major chains don't have real butter, I told her she was wrong IHOP for one has real butter. Meal ruined and did not taste good. Shake was thick, delicious, and large. Only salvageable thing about entire meal. Waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken... waited 35 minutes after order was taken (still no food) before we decided to get up and leave. This review is in comparison to other Dennys or like venues (i.e. IHOP). Stopped here after flying into Spokane and was pleasantly surprised. Wasn't expecting much and only stopped in because there were very few choices around and we were starving. Well, a major pro was that they have an allergy menu and we were easily able to find something to eat. Additionally, our server was great and honored our request to get in and out in a quick manner. This place is just off the highway and the road leading in can be rough. Really friendly staff and pretty decent food. Food comes out fast and often looks like the menu! Having lived in the Midwest, Ive been to many locations all over the us and frequent my local Denny's quite often; this location is the best I've been to in years. We drove from out of state to Spokane to visit family and our family of 6 (2 adults, 2kids plus 2 under two) was greeted kindly and quickly seated. Our waitress was friendly and pleasant and the food was timely and tasteful. Even after my husband had paid the waitress continued to serve our table and made sure our coffee stayed full. The bathrooms were clean as well. GREAT JOB GUYS, wish all locations were more like this one!! read more

Warning- ordering the Grand Slam for supper at the Spokane Airport Denny's is unhealthy and dangerous. Food was over cooked leftovers from the morning. Sausage links were petrified and impossible to cut with a fork. Hash browns were dried out and difficult to chew. Even the "over easy" egg was cooked hard. If you have a sadistic streak and enjoy suffering in bed all night, this is the place to get your poison. read more

I am completely disappointed in my experience. My order wrong but items were missing and some of the meals were inedible. One of the kid's meal was missing fries. The other two kid's meals, Mac n Cheese, had hard chunks of noodles. I ordered a steak dinner but the store was out. Instead of giving me some other type of protein, like grilled chicken, I got a cheesecake slice! I paid $12 for cheesecake and mashed potatoes. When I called and spoke with the manager. I asked why they didn't call me, the manager stated he did. HOWEVER, the number they called was not my number and was not even the number I have listed on my Denny's account, which is where I ordered my food. When I asked him where he got that number, he said from the delivery service. I asked him how would they have my number since I order my 4 meals on Denny's website? This place is pretty cool. It's got the dining area, like in all the Denny's, but it also has a lounge and bar area. It's rare to find Denny's with a bar, but they are out there! The service here is great, each server is very attentive to you. Even when busy they will acknowledge you and let you know they will be with you shortly. It's not downtown busy, but it gets a pretty good crowd on weekends especially since it is next to a couple of hotels and a truckers rest stop. Hidden little gem. read more

The restaurant is nice and clean but the service isn't the greatest. Our server Summer seemed nice in the beginning but you can tell she was having a bad day and didn't want to be at work. We watched her be very rude to another table as well that came in for the Veterans Day special. We heard them say sorry they read online it was a Build Your Own Slam and she argued with them it was a different one after they ate it already. I even heard a man at the front say it was a Build Your Own. When they politely said sorry they were confused, she shook her head and stormed off and loudly said,"My manager said no!" We were taken aback as well as a few other tables. The table even said they'll pay for it, they appreciate anything but she was so short and rude to them! I felt so bad for them. I overheard her and another server complaining about Veterans day as well and how slow it is and how the computers never work. I must say this place has sure made a turnaround in the last 4 months. I stay at the hotel next door frequently for business and I used to not eat here because of a past experience. I was running short on time 2 weeks ago and needed to eat so I stopped in. I was so impressed I tried it again the next day. We stopped here after a long drove from California for some breakfast. The restaurant is very new and clean. We were seated right away. I had the all American slam which was very good. Only reason for 3 star.is that our waitress wasn't very professional. I had to wait 5 minutes before I saw her so I could tell ask.her for more coffee. also I aways ked her for some strawberry jams and after 2 minutes she literally threw 4 on our table instead of gently putting them on the table. Newer building, but booths have taken a beating. Some have ripped vinyl benches, most benches have lost their padding (or never really had it to begin with). We've eaten there probably 5 times, most recently today --- always for breakfast. It's across the parking lot from a hotel without a restaurant, so timing-wise, factor in the "rush" from hotel folks. Food didn't arrive hot (even though we beat the rush), and service was lousy. Eggs were not cooked to order, and we had to flag down the hostess to have the server stop by to fix things. Drink refills had to be asked for. Too many gum-chewing employees. All in all, what used to be a somewhat reliable weekend breakfast place has gone downhill --- way downhill. If I could I would mark with a zero not because of the food or the waitress we had but due to the fact that when enjoying our lunch we loudly heard what I believe was the manager (man with salt and pepper goatee) loudly call another coworker short bus incredibly loudly, having family members with disabilities this highly offended my significant other and I, this was an incredibly inappropriate comment in any setting, and made us incredibly uncomfortable. I will not be returning if I see him still at his position at Denny's I have seen him harassing fellow coworkers serval times upon eating here and this is the last straw. Would have been nice to be able to review the food and service but this location had decided to close at 11:15pm even though the signs and the website stated that they were open until midnight. The service and food at this place has always been hit or miss - we only would go to this Dennys when we knew that a server (Evan) was working but he is the only employee at this location who is really worth anything at all and is often running the entire location by himself and so he hasn't been available to be a server. Instead, we have been stuck with whoever happened to be working, which hasn't been great. The last two times we were in the restaurant, the server kept informing us that they were closing at 11 and every time she came to the table to refill our drinks and to finally bring us our food she would give us a countdown of how much time was left for us to eat before they closed. With the exception of Evan - who is honestly an awesome employee and is way too good for this location - it is obvious that the employees really don't care about the customers. Long story short, even though we live in Airway Heights, we drive out of our way all the way into the Valley to go to a Dennys there instead. read more

Typical Denny's restaurant, same ambiance as others but it did seem smaller than some. Right across from a hotel and the airport. I ordered the steak along with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes, when I received my meal, The steak was not cooked how i wanted i asked for medium rare and it came over well done, the potatoes and steamed veggies where good. I ordered my daughter the spaghetti with apple slices and caramel on the side, a side of shrimp, and fries. She ate it but I did take away the caramel before she saw it, it would be better if the bring the slices along with some yogurt instead of caramel. She ate good :) read more
