Standard Denny's but has a beautiful remodeled old school diner look with hardwood flooring , nice quotes on the walls and an open kitchen format where you can see the cooks. Went last night after a few rounds of drinking, because let's face it. Denny's is really at its best after drinking or for late night / early morning breakfast. Ordered the moons over my hammy. A toasted sourdough bread sandwich with ham eggs and cheese with a side of cheddar cheese fries. Tasty and a nice size portion. The waitress was attentive and nice even though there was a party next to us who was pretty loud and obnoxious. The only thing I would say is, the service to get seated and actually have the waitress come to the tables to serve was a bit excessive. Other than that, this Denny's doesn't disappoint for what you get here. Just don't go in expecting the best Tampa breakfast food around & you'll be quite fine. read more

My family and I went to go eat at Dennys, when we got to the establishment we called in to see what the wait time was for 4 people. I called in and asked the wait time and they girl who answered the phone said "to long bye" then hung up the phone, I then called back and asked why she hung up on me and what the wait time was and she proceed to yell at me about how she's to busy to be answering the phone.. I've never been seen a more unprofessional establishment in my like.. so disrespectful! read more

On this day I did, all I wanted was a simple substitution because I have an egg allergy and they refused. The staff were friendly but the management was incredibly poor. I have been to sevIeral Denny's locations in Florida and everytime I give 3 stars but this one is a little bit of a disspointment. The waitress service was good although food was not the right order and did not came out at the same time. The quality of the food was lesser than what I'm used to at other Dennys, which is a little sad for me because I usually like their food. Ok so Denny's is Denny's. The food was average no issues. We have eggs, bacon, quesadilla, pancakes, steak, chicken tenders, fries, hash browns and sausage biscuit and gravy. The sausage biscuit and gravy would get 5 stars easy. The biscuit was so soft. I don't know if it is but it was like it was hand made. The service was good. The wait however was not. We waited about 20 minutes while others came in and got tables right away. I think we were forgotten. When we asked we were given a short response that we my party of 4 would be seated after the party of 12 that came in before us got their seats. I'm thinking they needed to make sure they had enough seats in the large parties area until we were sat no where near them. Then the same snappy manager apologized for the wait as I was paying. I ordered the "Build your Own Grand Slam" here and I'd venture to say it's one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, I travel quite a bit and some top places have been Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in London, Lee in Toronto as well as Noma in Denmark and this Denny's tops all of them. My order was 2 orders of their famous Buttermilk Pancakes, Hash Browns and scrambled Eggs, the pancakes were beautifully fluffy, the eggs were not too runny, but not over cooked by any means at all and finally the hash browns had a crispy brown exterior and a nice and potato-ey interior. The service was the worst part but was nothing to scoff at, our server was very attentive and had a very good attitude throughout the meal. Overall, I'd give this Denny's a 9.5/10 and would recommend it to anyone. read more

I understand that it is New Year's Day but for us to have been told the wait for our food to be 30-45mins, an hour- an hour and a half wait is absolutely ridiculous. The ONLY redeemable quality after having our waiter quit before our table could be waited was the hospitality of Lala the waitress. When visiting Tampa we frequently stop at this Denny's for breakfast. Today might have been the last time. It's dingy. Service is so-so... I love the Hobbit themed menu items. If only they tasted better. I had the "Hobbit-Hole" breakfast. I asked for the eggs medium, one was overcooked, the other was VERY overcooked. How can a breakfast place not know how to cook eggs? My co-worker had the Hobbit honey-cake french toast. It was awful. He let us all try it. Even an employee said it wasn't very good. Not a winning menu item. The bathrooms are frightening. There were cobwebs... the whole thing needs a good scrubbing and repainting. And one soap dispenser was out, the other took a lot of waving to get it to dispense. Not good. There was something suspicious dangling from the ceiling at the top of a column in the dining area. That was creepy. So, hopefully not going back. Way better breakfast in Tampa. read more

I know, Denny's. But I suddenly had a hankering for some pancakes because of a scene I had just watched in the cable TV series, "Breaking Bad." The two meth cookers were eating at a Denny's in the TV show. So, I had to, and this one was the closest. The pancakes were pretty good. The sausage and bacon were fine, and the scrambled eggs were extremely yellow, which made me think there was something artificial that had been added. Denny's food is neither great nor terrible. It will suffice for when you are in the mood, or there is nothing else around. My main complaint about this one is that it is seriously filthy and in desperate need of a facelift. There's dirt in every corner. The wallpaper is coming off the walls and hanging. The carpet is, well, let's just say nasty. I didn't dare go in the restroom. I come to Denny's often and the food is always good as well as the service. I come late night right after the bars close. I have a Town Car Service so its fits in perfectly. My favorite server is Matia. She's the best. Matia always greets me with a smile and knows exactly want I want all the time. She is a TEAM player and a Five Star server. I also like to recognize two other individuals and they are Joe McFadden (manager) and David Buchanan (chef). Both of them are a great team together. When I walk in I enjoy having David prepare my meal for me. He has that special touch. Joe is also a good chef and a great manager. So when you come into Denny's ask for Matia and make sure that David or Joe is there to cook for you. You will not be disappointed. Tell him that DAN THE CAB MAN sent you. read more

Several months back I visited this location as myself and many of my colleagues are in the area frequently. When I'd left, I'd swore I'd never come back to this location, but that didn't stand as I was starving and figured I'd give it one more try, hoping for better results that the last time because the service last time was terrible! However, the service I had today, from a cheerful young red headed woman whose name tag stated Cheri, was by far the best service I may have ever had, quite possibly anywhere! I walked in with a little frustration due to the day's events thus far, but this young woman went above and beyond, and I walked out happier than I walked in! Not a single disappointment this time, and before I left I asked Cheri the days and times that she is working because for now on, when I'm in the area, I'll definitely be stopping by to dine during those days and times, and no matter how long the wait may be to have her as my waitress, I'll surely wait! Also, the food was cooked to perfection, so hopefully upon my next visit the same cook will be there as well! My fork was dirty with jelly, the 2nd half of my food came when I was done with my 1st half, some type of substance was on the outside of my juice glass, and since you have to pay at the front counter, this took over 10 mins with a small line due to an incompetent person manning the register. During this 10 min wait, I left my party to use the bathroom. Both stalls were unusable and had to use a nearby gas station bathroom that was way more decent than this restaurant's. read more

Denny's was always the late night stop for us after a late night in my late teens early 20's. And it still the same. Went to this one for an early pre-meeting breakfast with a colleague. Food was what I remember. 2200 calories of goodness (didn't care about that 20 years ago). Had the grand slamwhich and it was great. Restaurant needs some updating, duct tape in holes on the seats, old paint, etc but still a Denny's all together. read more

Think some of the comments are in accurate or unfair. I've lived here 3 years; not a big fan of Denny's from past experience. However, this location has great cooks, clean, care about food and customers. They do get very crowded on Sundays and during special events at the Stadiums. Why 2 Stars? Took 45 minutes to receive our food! Came here on Christmas afternoon. Surprisingly we were seated quickly. Waitress took our order and brought our coffee & juice in a few short minutes. Then the wait began. The front of the house managed themselves very well, they informed the dining area after 30 minutes of waiting that the head cook had left after we were seated. 45 minutes is way too long for eggs and pancakes. 1 Extra star was given for it being Christmas and a friendly waitress. read more
