Look at this! I was provided with the standard menu at the left .. and three more menus with specials!

I think that, in the last 10 to 20 years, I've probably eaten at this Denny's at least 3 times. Its performance is consistent. The restaurant, updated to the chain-wide boilerplate look, is clean and reasonably appealing. Sitting out by the front windows is always preferable to me. This way, you can keep an eye on your rented sled in the parking lot. However, note that that is optional ... this is a fairly nice area with retail and offices and the parking lot is amply sized. I've typically been to this Denny's in the evening to get a quick dinner and some coffee. They have a good slate of comfort food entrees with a few sides as well as burgers and sandwiches. Realistically, you can eat anything you want from the menu at any time. Not only that, I'm usually getting a text or other reminder to stop in for some deal, so there's always something going on that brings a small discount with it. The service has always been effective. However, in obtaining service, you may have a female server (that would be a waitress) who tends to overshare a little bit, which sort of happens in Florida because people are from so many places and they openly talk about life. But, sometimes, I just want affable service and my meal in a reasonable time - something they do deliver on - and not material for lyrics for a Bonnie Raitt song. When I had to pick a Denny's here years ago, I landed on this one on Dale Mabry. I couldn't forget that name because a friend of mine went for training in Tampa Bay and said the training site was off of Dale Mabry. Also, I like this name because it has both a twangy vibe and seems like the name of a televangelist who could keep company with Tammy Faye. (I'm going to feel bad if this is or was a person of import in Tampa's or Florida's history.) If that's not enough for you, the name of the next exit on I-275 is Lois Ave. That these exits would be adjacent to each other in Tampa's Westshore area is a little trippy.

Food was good & came out on time. The server was not knowledgeable with the menu items. He said it was his 2nd day & he didn't know they had fried fish.

Visited for breakfast with the in-laws and our server Summer, or as I called her June 21, was amazing. Even though they were slammed and short staffed, she kept drinks refilled and checked on us. I had the two egg special with hash browns, sausage, bacon and two pancakes for $9.99. The hash browns were cooked well done as requested. I also appreciate they offer a 15% AARP discount.

It is your typical Denny's, but service was good and food was quick. Maybe when I came the chef was tailoring some menu items, but someone loved to slather on the butter. Bite of scrambled eggs, full of butter. English muffin, drowning in butter. I had to scrape off the part not melted in. It looked like a slice of cheese because there was so much butter. I came back next time and said light butter and it was fine. I think that should go without saying though. Butter is good but sometimes less is more.

This visit I tried the build-your-own-slam. 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage links, a slab of ham, and hash browns. Total $13.52 ($17 with tip).

Late night food craving that always hits the spot after a long night of hanging with friends. The service was friendly and they made sure we, as a group, kept the fun times going. Food was a little slow in making but granted it was super late at night. Always nice to go live at Denny's.

With the sounds of Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" blasting, I walked in to Denny's knowing that the place may be the ultimate death of me. My daughter, who loves Denny's, coaxed me in for breakfast before school. The restaurant was nearly desolate, unlike the many drunken nights that I spent in that very restaurant during my college days. As we were led to our table, the floor was so slippery and greasy that I was able to emulate the feeling of being on ice skates, so we skated on to our table. We were sat at a table that was sticky from previous diners and we had to ask for it to be cleaned. COVID-19 be damned, right? I wondered how long the table sat that way, or if that was just the film that covered the room. This restaurant did not feel clean. At all... The service was not exactly quick either, especially considering there were hardly any other diners eating at the time. The staff seems to just be going through the motions on another slow day. I ordered the Biscuits and gravy - ehhh. It was obviously made from the microwave. The gravy was cold and lumpy, the biscuits seemed gelatinous. I found myself wishing I had ordered something else. The eggs and hash browns were slightly a notch above, but hardly redeeming. My daughter fared a little better by ordering the Double Berry Pancakes which were loaded with strawberries, blueberries and bananas high atop a stack of pancakes. She loved it. We quietly finished our meal. As I left, I told myself...never again.

(As were the cocktails! The spicy pineapple margaritas are fantastic!) My fiends each ordered something different: a burger for one, a salad for another and a pizza for yet another. They were each delighted with their choices. I went for two appetizers: the charred cauliflower... which was excellent (those dates!) and a seasonal butternut squash soup that was unforgettably good-it satisfied both stomach and soul. One friend savored a Manhattan and two were all into the lavender matcha. Four completely different palettes but the same happy feeling. We went early evening on a Monday. There was not many people there at that time, which was perfect. We started with the spinach dip, which was full of flavor and definitely something we would order again. After that, we ordered our options for the girl dinner that they offered during the month of May. We started with our cocktails, which were both yummy! Then, they brought out our mail, which included, unlimited fries, caesar salad, cheesesteak eggroll, and a mini lobster roll. We truly enjoyed every bit of our meal. Everything was tasty and fresh. At the end, they had an option to add a dessert drink and two desserts to try for an additional $10. What a steal! Both desserts were delicious, but the lemon cake pop was definitely my favorite! It was perfectly sweet and moist with a yummy icing on the outside. I'd definitely go back to try their regular menu one day!

Wanted to try somewhere new (to me) and landed on Del Frisco's last night. I had driven past it,…read morebut had never heard of it and had not looked at the menu previously so I went in with an open mind and no expectations. I was pleased to see that the restaurant offered complementary valet, and was seated immediately upon arrival. Our server, Matt, greeted us expeditiously and was very friendly. He answered all about the questions about the menu with kindness and honesty. We decided to share a steak with sides and a salad. I was optimistic because the steak included one complementary side... sadly that deal probably should've been my indicator of quality. The food was not bad, but it also wasn't very good. In the restaurant defense, I did not realize it was a chain, so I'd say if you go in with expectations that you were eating at a chain restaurant you might be pleased with the output. Not having that knowledge beforehand, I found the steak to be extremely salty (it resembled a steak you would cook at home and top with the McCormick grilling seasonings -- very coarse) and the mac & cheese side to be very gritty (although the truffle flavor was nice). Despite the food being so far, we enjoyed our entire time at the restaurant and no small part due to our server. It wasn't until we left the restaurant and reflected on the evening that we came to the conclusion that the food was run of the mill and Matt was what made the experience positive. Because Tampa is such a vibrant food city, I don't imagine myself coming back when presented with the option to eat at a local restaurant; however, if I were in an area that only had chain or franchise meal options and I saw a Del Frisco's, I would probably return.

Let me start with the real star: our server Davonte. He had nonstop energy the whole night, super pleasant, and he was more than happy to help us grab some great photos and videos. Didn't make us feel weird about it at all. Love when a server adds to the fun. We all did the Taste of Kona for $39. You can't beat that. Three courses plus champagne or wine ! I started with the small Asian salad. It has a perfect little kick of sweet and salty tang. Then the lemon garlic penne with shrimp. Great portion, shrimp were on point, sauce had an even better herby flavor. And dessert is mandatory. I got the double stacked brownie and it was a perfect chocolate bomb. Rich just how I like it! Three courses, a cocktail, and a super energetic, helpful server. Great for a celebration or just a fun dinner out. Portions are great for the price. We'll be back soon especially since Kona is one of our go to restaurants!
