Leaving us frequently waiting .., to be seated, to order, for coffee refills, and to get our check. That's a management issue. So what should have been a 30-minute breakfast stop took over an hour. Normally, that would reduce this review to 3 stars, however, when the servers were present, they were awesome. Coming back from the Depot Bay, my friend and I had stopped in this restaurant and were very surprised how nice this Denny's was. We did not know that there were any left as the one in my area closed we were served by a waitress by the name of René and being in the Customer Service field. Stopped by for breakfast on our way through Tillamook and were very disappointed. First the wait time to get seated was a lot longer than it should have been. I say this as someone who worked for a Denny's in the Portland area years ago. We walked in, and there was a a couple waiting to be seated in front of us. We waited for more than five minutes before anybody even noticed we were there. After they were seated, a number of people came up to pay and we had to wait for them. Then we were seated. The restaurant at this time was not very busy probably about 30 to 40% capacity. We placed an order and waited. After what was probably a good 20 minutes we decided we would give it a few more and then leave. During this time, nobody came out to say there was a hold up with the food or check on us. We also overheard a larger group who had been there ahead of us, wondering if their order had been lost. After a bit more, we decided to leave since our grand slam breakfast's were not out. Back in the day these came out pretty fast. The restaurant is not very well, kept up with dirty seats and holes in some of them. The service was very subpar. The wait time would've only been acceptable if the place were slammed. Bottom line, I will not go back or recommend this place to anyone in fact, quite the opposite. I know everybody wants to blame Covid for lack of decent service, but that's just an excuse at this point. If there is a back up, it's good to have servers check in with people and let them know they have not been forgotten. read more

Terrible service! Waited 15 minutes to get seated and then another 25 minutes and still hadn't taken our order. They weren't overly crowded or anything and had lots of open table and appeared to have 3 severs and one greeter. So not sure why they just wouldn't come back to actually take the order. I came in here a couple days ago and my primary servers name was Kaloa, firstly id like to say, she seemed like a complete hindrance to this restaurant. Even my friend said so. Never smiled, seemed aggressive and just overall a horrible waiter. The food wasn't bad and there were other waiters that helped out Kaloa since she seemed incompetent, they were really sweet and seemed to care about the customers. But the overall quality of the experience took a big blow due to that horrible waiter named kaloa. This is a typical Denny's and actually that's why we stopped. The food was good and it wasn't over priced. We were seated right away and our server was there soon after. As a matter of fact, our server, Marie, was amazing. There were four of us and we all had nothing but kudos for the service and for what we had ordered. Our server Vanessa took our order. Well. She took everyone else's order. Said thank you and started to walk away when I said. Uh. My order We laughed it off. I got the All American Slam. Now we wait. And wait. And wait... is it because this Denny's is super busy? Nope. Minus all the employees we're at 26 customers. Well above what the state of Oregon is allowing for a sit down restaurant. But I have no idea what's taking so long. We haven't even seen our waitress in our area. Nor is she busy in another area. She's working... ish. We eventually flag down the Busser for our coffee service and yes, we still haven't seen our waitress or gotten any drinks. We finally get coffee. 15 minutes after asking the Busser. The people who were 10 minutes ahead of us have already eaten their order and we're still waiting for ours. It's now been almost 45 minutes before our food comes out. The waitress starts to leave when My Wife asks for utensils. Utensils brought. Can we get some Tabasco and Ketchup. We say grace and dig in. We all have complaints about cold food. My toast was crunchy and cold from sitting for a long time. Hashbrowns were cold. The sausage and eggs were good. By the time we were done, there were 37 customers sitting down at tables and probably another 10 inside waiting for a table. Social Distancing? Not even close. Good Service? No. Will we be coming back anytime soon or ever again to the Tillamook City Denny's? Heck, To The NO! read more

The staff were cheerful and diligent about customer service EXCEPT that two of the three wait staf did not cover their noses with their face masks. Made us sit outside in the heat, then seated us right next to two families (within two feet). Apparently they do not care if she spreads the virus to their customers, and since we are going n the road, they'll never know that they killed one. The meal I ordered at 2am in the morning a few nights ago was absolutely amazing and perfectly cooked fries too, the service was fantastic. I went back again yesterday for dinner and same thing, different meal different waitress and different cook (Anna) best food I've had in years from Denny's.
