Terrible customer service and no attention to detail. Never received silverware and when food came had to wait a bit for the waitress to come back to get some but at that point food wasn't very hot when delivered so by the time I received silverware food was even colder. Daughter ordered build your own slam. How do you get that wrong? She did the build your own because all the other breakfast came with eggs and she didn't want eggs. Well her breakfast showed up with 2 eggs over easy with yolk all over her plate. So much for not wanting eggs. They definately lack attention to detail. read more

My wife and I decided we would order breakfast to go. I ordered online and the ordering process was seamless. The website indicated our food would be ready for pickup in 20 minutes. We were given a choice of inside or curbside pickup. I chose inside. When I arrived there was a young lady working from a podium under an awning. She asked me my name and went to check on the order. She directed me to a table where different orders were waiting. My name was clearly marked on a receipt for me to sign. I was directed to sign and then deposit the pencil into the metal tin on the table. Super easy and super fast. Food was hot and tasty. Great process read more

What happened to this place since our last visit???? Pulled into the parking lot and there were people going through the trash making a huge mess while Denny employees were out side smoking and doing nothing.... go into the restaurant and there is a sign on the door warning that Tracy has had a rash of vehicle break ins in the parking lot so to leave NOTHING in your car - not feeling so safe now. We were sat and began to look at menu while drinks were on their way. My lemonade was looking weak and no ice, husbands ice tea looked barely tea (unfresh bottom of the container). When the waiter dropped off these drinks, husband asked if his drink was iced tea, waiter replied yes, but quickly said more needed to be made. Huh? Why would you even bring us tainted water like that?? When we asked for some of the fresh batch of iced tea, the waiter sighed then spun on his heel and left. I guess you can actually say my boyfriend and myself are close to being regulars here. We try to stop in at least once a week for our getting out. Never fails each time is a nice experience. The waiters and waitresses are always awesome at making sure my boyfriend and myself always has a full drink. The food is always hot and tasty and done right to order. The place is tidy, neat, and clean. Whenever there is something missing off the table occasionally just mention it to a staff person they are right on top of getting it taken care of. The staff of friendly and always happy and helpful and loves to make sure you are getting everything that you want. read more

Nice experience at this Denny's. Our server, Rachel, could not have been nicer. We went on a busy Sunday at lunch time, and we were seated within 5 minutes. She immediately brought our coffee and our requested water with lemon. She suggested mixing vanilla and hazelnut creamer, which we had never thought of doing. It have a different flavor, and I really like that they provide two types of flavored creamers if desired. We decided to try two meals off of the value menu, and we were pleasantly surprised. We shared them, I took pictures of both, so you will see that it made a nice breakfast for two. $4 Everyday Value Slam included two eggs, 2 sausage or bacon or one of each and 2 pancakes $6 Eggs in a Basket were 2 eggs in cheese bread baskets with hash browns and 2 bacon or sausage. Our whole meal with coffee was under $14 for two! The service was great, we were asked constantly if we wanted anything else, the food was good and the restaurant was clean. Nothing negative to say. We stopped in for lunch. We both had skillets. They were HOT! Mine was too salty, but the staff went the extra mile to make sure my allergy was address. Other than being too salty, it was quite tasty and had a good sized fillet of salmon. My iced tea didn't taste fresh. The staff was very friendly and efficient but used VERY loud voices, adding to the general loudness of the restaurant. read more

Came in on a sunday with my wife and kids after moving and we were all tired and beat up really bad. Lobby was full but was still sat around 5 mins which was not bad for a sunday morning. Then Rachel came to take our order her attitude and smile was contagious even after a terrible day yesterday. My family had our first smiles for the weekend on are faces and Rachel was extremely attentive and friendly even though the house was packed. I always enjoy a Denny's restaurant because the food is okay no matter which one I go to. The staff is always caring and try to accommodate you. Since I can't finish my meal I need to take it home. I normally don't write reviews but with my experience I had to. My boyfriend and I came in about a week ago and I have never been so appalled at customer service before. We sat down and a waitress yelled across the restaurant "I'll be with you shortly". We sat and waited and about 20 minutes passed, barely anyone in there and the same waitress that would help us shortly was behind the counter chitchatting with another employee. I though, be patient. She finally came up to us and took our order but kept turning around and giggling with whatever joke her and the employee made maybe prior to her coming over. My boyfriend received his food after a fairly long wait but that was fine with my boyfriend. He began to eat and then stopped, looked at me, got up from the table and went to the restroom. I was confused but was more concerned with why my food hadn't gotten to me yet. My boyfriend came back from the restroom and said "there is a hair in my food!" I signaled the waitress who came over, I advised her of the hair in his food and she said "oh, no hold on". Came back over to us and said "so do you want us to make you a new meal?" My boyfriend refused and said he no longer had an appetite which I know I wouldn't have one either. The waitress seemed annoyed and kind of stormed off. If you're wondering, NO, I still have NOT received my food. I signaled the waitress yet again and asked where my food was. She then asked the most outlandish question of, "you ordered something?" I looked at my boyfriend with the look of (lets go). The waitress hands me the bill and I told her "I refuse to pay for his food that had a hair in it". She understood. Then my boyfriend and I go to leave. The waitress then says, upon reaching the door, "you still have a balance of the other meal". I flipped. I then proceeded to say, I am confused because you asked me "you ordered something?" and she then replied with, "I figured out you did." We walked out. I am a calm and patient woman. I have worked in customer service since 2012. I have also worked in food service before so I try to understand because when I was in food service that's all I wanted people to do, understand. I have been coming to Denny's in Tracy since I can remember and I have always received fabulous service. I'm not sure if I came in on an off-day or maybe the waitress had a personal problem? Everything was good here until the end. Our waitress was friendly and a blond lady came by and made conversation while she was cleaning g the table next to us. Food was decent but the service was horrible. After we were seated, it took about 10 minutes before our waitress asked for our drink order. We sat for 15 minutes before our food arrived. I ordered an iced coffee, which I asked for as sweetened and I received a plain unsweetened beverage. Our refills took awhile and the waitress kept forgetting things we needed. I'm not sure if the waitress was new but she had terrible customer service. "Cathie" was too busy eating in the back instead of attending her customers. I left no tip. read more

Giving into my stomach's weird hunger pattern I went in to get some pancakes and skittle at around morning 3:30, though being a weekend night the restaurant was almost empty. Once we walked in the hostess got us seated & got the menus, being the only ones to get attention we were pushed to make choices quickly so we settled for a Santa Fe skillet & chocolate peanut butter pancakes with sides of hash brown, toast and eggs. The skillet was nothing to be amazed about just the regular stuff cooked perfectly but less than usual chorizo. But the peanut butter/chocolate pancake was from a different world altogether, a really gooey mouth watering sweet taste filled my mouth from the 1st bite itself add to it some maple syrup n u will realize some crazy sugar high seriously some awesome stuff. Once done we got some plain pancakes to go but the host was a bit stingy with maple syrup to-go serving by giving just one but that's fine as she obliged with two more when requested. Overall a typical Denny's experience probably worth only for the mid-late night cravings when you have no better options around. read more

This Denny's continually gives me horrible service. It's partly my fault for continuing to give them chances. As I'm writing this I'm on hold now 11 minutes trying to place a pickup order. Whenever I go into the location, I'm ignored by waitresses that are too busy texting or talking to help me. They look right at me and turn around and go about their business. I'm done giving this place chances. Crappy service and it's Denny's food. Avoid this place like the plague. read more
