Have dined there for breakfast many times, but we've never seen a more filthy floor in any restaurant (even including fast food joints). I tried to be discreet in taking a pic and the one I've posted only minimally reveals what a mess the floor was - food everywhere, ketchup smears all over. If the floor looks this bad, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Won't be eating there again. read more

Opened this week. They had greeters at the door and I was seated promptly. Two of us. Place was clean and felt like I was in a typical Denny's. Food came out just as you would expect it from Denny's. Service was good and prompt. Minus a star for bringing wrong type of pancakes. Otherwise, on-par. *went in morning for breakfast. I might just keep this as a late night, post-drinking option. Lol. After reading the first review left, I'd have to agree...the woman (manager?) barking at the kitchen was a bit excessive. Maybe it helped food come out quick as it did, but maybe she didn't have to put the show on for the guests. I go here every Friday morning for breakfast, and have found the food to be consistently very good. There have been a couple of days where it hasn't been on point, but when Jocelyn and Karen are serving, they make it up with their excellent service. They know our order and immediately bring out our drinks and automatically place our orders with the kitchen. Love the oldies, but goodies music that they play. read more

Ordered food a month ago through the app and I did not put a tip because I wanted to give them cash instead of using my card and I requested a few condiments ketchup and ranch etc so when I go to pick up my order I give the waitress my name she had my order ready in a bag gives it to me then I handed her cash tip and she said oh and give me a surprise look she said I forgot to put your condiments. I said OK and she evidently didn't put any of what I requested she did everything in a hurry cause when I got home, I was missing utensils, napkins, only got two ketchup when I asked for extra and two ranch when I only wanted one I guess she thought I wasn't tipping so she didn't bother to do her job. I don't have to tip anybody unless they go above and beyond I would've gave them a 5 star the food was delicious but the service from that waitress awful. read more

My husband and I went to this Denny's on Telegraph Road in Ventura because of the Diner Deal special that I had seen on TV. My husband and I are seniors and thought this would be a great way to treat ourselves. We asked for the special and was told that this particular Denny's does not honor the special that is on TV. What a disappointment! Why would they advertise it in this area if the Denny's in this area does not honor it? I don't think I'll be going there again, even though it's less than a half mile away from our home. Sad to lose customers for this reason. read more

I truly had the most amazing experience at this Denny's. Our waitress was Karen and she made the experience even better by being friendly and positive. She checked on us and was on top of her game. I don't know what happened to this Denny's. The service was slow, and you could see our server sitting in a booth with someone having a conversation. The place was empty too, she had maybe 3 tables with people. My husband also got food poisoning. I know it was this place because my husband hadn't eaten anything in 24 hours and the one place we chose, he gets really sick. I'm not coming back. It was not worth it. If you are looking at somewhere else, go there. 0 stars, and unfortunately we won't be getting that time back. read more

First timer since the upgrade & reopening of this restaurant. We enjoyed our service team and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful!!! Upon arrival, myself and my party were greeted by staff and seated within 2-3 minutes but a table needed to be bussed and cleaned first. To the left of the entrance there were dirty tables that also needed to be bussed. The server arrived, took our drink and meal orders. Within 20 minutes of ordering, our 6 meals arrived. The chorizo burrito meal was hot, but the other 5 meals were cold and the nachos were completely wrong. Everyone chose to eat our meals because it was 9:30pm and we returned the nachos which were brought back wrong again. We eventually cancelled the nachos and asked for the ticket. Again, the servers were very kind and apologetic for the mistakes. 5+ stars to the staff friendliness and helpfulness 3 stars for the attention to detail and service The restrooms were also in need for some clean-up. One stall had no covers, one no toilet paper and the trash overflowing. Knowing that this is a newly opened site, I know there is always a learning curve. The staff friendliness and helpfulness is key and will be the token that will bring us back to give the place another try. Keep it up team. Things that need to change: food temperatures and accuracy of orders. The cashier who is standing around should help the server by bussing tables when they are not busy. When the Denny's opened recently we were excited to have a place that would be open all the time for that evening breakfast for dinner craving. We were excited to give it a try. If I could give a zero, I would. My teenage son said it was the worst food he has ever had and I rarely complain and post yelp reviews, but I decided to post in hopes they can and will improve because if not my bet is this place will not make it based on my personal experience this evening. My husband ordered the two crepe breakfast combo. The crepes were undercooked, scrambled eggs were good though. The bacon was paper thin and very small. His hash browns to me were really crispy which was great, I wish mine would have been like that. He got lucky! I ordered the lumberjack combo. My eggs were ordered over medium, but they were definitely cooked over hard. My toast was very thin and I honestly do not think they even toasted it. It was cold, soggy, super thin and tasted like oil had been slathered on it versus butter. My bacon was thin and cold and the sausage was cold. My hash browns were way undercooked. They were warm, but kind of hard inside like they had not been cooked all the way through. Like you open a bag of frozen hash browns put it on a plate and microwave without actually putting a cook, crisp on them. My son ordered the create your own four item appetizer combo. He opted for chicken strips, boneless wings, cheese quesadilla and fries. The fries were hard and and cold like they had been sitting around for a while. The boneless chicken was actually strips soaked in buffalo sauce, but they weren't even hot. The cheese quesadilla was so bad he wasn't sure if it was okay to eat, so he asked me and my husband to take a bite out of it to be sure. It tasted like we were eating a thin slice of cardboard. I have not eaten cardboard before, but I imagine this is exactly what it would taste like. Horrible! Also, had an after taste and hardly any cheese. Additionally, it did take over 50 minutes to get our food. I understand they are new and still coming together, however, being new is your first opportunity to impress with good food and great service so that guests choose to come back. This was my first visit and my last visit ever to this Denny's. We should have saved our $48 bucks and got the new McRib combos from McDonalds read more

Stopped into this location around 5:30 this morning, just to be told there was no cook on so we couldn't have breakfast. The place seemed clean and the gentleman there was nice. Had breakfast with my family at Denny's on telegraph Road today. I was appalled from what I witnessed today while trying to eat my breakfast with my family. There was a manager yelling at an employee for all to hear. I was saddened to see the way this employee was being treated. It was disgusting. I was so embarrassed for that poor employee. No one should ever be treated that way. The person or manager who was yelling should be fired. There is no room for that kind of treatment, especially in a restaurant where people are going to enjoy their breakfast. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience when we recently went here. TMobile Tuesdays gave us 2 free grand slam breakfasts for each of our accounts. It states on the QR code that you are able to use the code as long as it's on two separate bills/two separate customers. The manager of this Dennys didn't allow us to use both, even though the server said she'd put them on separate checks so we can use both. It clearly states that it's per customer, & if there is two people who have two separate checks, it only makes sense we are two separate customers. However, the manager said because we were at the same table it didn't apply. Does that make sense to you? Sadly, we only got one free meal, not two like TMobile rewarded us for being a customer. Not only did the manager not comply with what it stated on the QR code, she didn't even bother to honor it whatsoever. It was very disappointing for us, especially because you didn't have to spend anything at all to recieve the free meal, but we still were forced to pay for one. They are not a 24 hr restaurant. I got there on a Thursday night (Friday) at 1am and was told they were closed cuz they were cleaning the kitchen for 3 hrs. As a former chef and NCOIC Army cook, that's called a deep clean and means your kitchen has been trashed, dusted and disgusted. I suspect roaches and mice because of this. This Dennys is really gross, when the server brought me a cup of coffee there was syrup baked onto the cup, I'm not a complainers, but this could not be ignored. We finished our drinks and waited for the waiter to ask for a refill. The server forgot about us and came to check on us when we finished our food. Lastly the bathrooms were terrible. They smell like a gas station bathroom. Bugs in both stalls, it was my most terrible Dennys experience I've had. I usually try to go to a local Dennys because of their good service and great food, but this one was the worse of them all.
