We usually love this Denny's in Wickenburg but last night was disgusting. As we walked up to the front desk there was a terrible sewer odor. We decided against dinner and thought coffee and pie would be safe. Everything was fine, wait staff was great. As we left we decided to use the restrooms. Yuck! We will never be back. What a difference new management makes! We went for brunch after church on Sunday and were thrilled with the food, the service, everything. Our waitress went beyond and above with outstanding service. We hadn't been for a while because of the poor service, awful service and the quality of everything had gone downhill. My neighbor told me about the fabulous new manager and her team and we decided to give it a try. I had had the Slim Slam and was thrilled with it. Best fruit bowl ever and the omelet with spinach was outstanding. Everyone in our party of 5 was thrilled with everything. So pleased with the change, what a difference a caring manager makes. We had the whole wheat pancake slam this morning. We both thought it was very good sausage eggs & hashbrowns cooked to perfection. We stopped here on our way home to California from Sedona. We had a party of 8. The restaurant looked clean and the service we received from our waitress Rose was impeccable. She was truly awesome and kept checking on us in the backroom to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was average. It was all good and cooked well. We ate very comfortable. We ranged from ages of 6 to 60+. Everything we ordered was good just not excellent. But we know we can't expect to have spectacular when it comes to simple breakfast options. They also offer military discount so that was cool. Overall, id recommend this location to anyone wanting simple breakfast options but not fast-food drive-thru type service. read more

Honestly, it's Denny's. The food is good, the place is decent but what makes this Denny's stand out from the rest is the people. Debbie and the staff have always been welcoming of our large group. We typically go out there about 1x per month, and we have yet to be turned away like we have at other restaurants. The staff is quick and always friendly even when it can be overwhelming to serve 40 people. I haven't been in a Denny's in quite a while, I was craving some breakfast for lunch. I took my mom and dad out for Father's day. My dad loves breakfast. The waitstaff seemed pretty nice. The waitress that sat us was limping pretty bad but she was still giving it her all. Bless her heart. Our server was Abbie and she was very attentive and fast service. She has a smile and seemed happy to be there. The food, well it's Denny's so I would say it was exactly what I expected. I had a waffle with some type of butter that barely melts. My sausages cooked well, were not bad either. My scramble eggs were ok too. My dad's ham and eggs looked amazing. The hash browns were perfect and I really wished that I ordered that. He ate it all!! Your typical Denny's food! Food came out hot and tasted good. Restaurant has recently been renovated and is very clean and up to date. I would have given this location 5 stars but customer service lacks. Server was friendly enough he just lacked attention to detail and seemed to forget we were there. There were only 2 other guests in the restaurant during our visit so no excuse. When we needed drink refills, to go containers, our check, we had to wave him down or go get him. Being its Denny's and I was not in a hurry not a big deal but something management needs to address. read more

Came here at 7 pm. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant. Upon sitting down the waitress came up to us we said we needed a few minutes. 35 minutes went by and she did not return until I asked. Another 20 minutes later we received food, however we were missing toast. 10 minutes later we got the waitresses attention and she said she would order the toast. 30 minutes later there was no toast still, so we inquired about it. She brought us bill and added a charge for cheese, which came with the order, and no toast still. But said "I didn't charge you for toast", yet it came with our food already. Then toast came out about 2 minutes later, and we asked her to correct the bill for the cheese. During our entire encounter she did not refill our waters, or check on us we had to go up to the counter. Even when attempting to pay bill we waited another 15 minutes before going up to pay. The entire ambiance of the place had dim lights, almost a silent awkward and scary atmosphere. The women's bathroom reeked of salt water and poop. God awful smell. read more

Stopped by for coffee on my way from California to Arizona. Big mistake! I ordered a coffee and water as I was seated and began to read the menu. I waited and waited 15 minutes then 25 and when another waitress came to my table after 30 minutes, I figured I would order coffee again and my breakfast. WORST DENNY'S EVER. I should have went to McDonald's for fast food instead. The bathrooms reeked of weed. The food was cooked slow when there was no one else in the restaurant. My pancake puppies came out burnt. I ate them anyways because I was so hungry. When my food came out, I was greeted with a quesadilla that had barely any cheese in it. What is the deal with Denny's and sugar? Are they dating? Gad! They tried to kill me today: the Bonnie and Clyde of sugar overload. An accident which backed up the 93, led me to pull off the road for a pit stop at Denny's. Hadn't had pancakes in a while, so when I saw the Dulce de Leche short stack on the menu, I had to have it! The waitress brought me a plate of two perfectly-sized cakes that were beautiful golden golden brown. The crunchy stuff had been poured over both layers and it seeped into their skin like a tattoo. The bonus was a topping of whipped cream AND a side of caramel sauce. Ah, picture perfect. But then everything went wrong. I bit into the pancakes. Whoa! Sugar high hell. I stopped myself at three bites because I didn't want to slip into a coma. La la la la la la la Okay, let's analyze this. One of these things is NOT needed. The crunchy stuff is basically cinnamon sugar and because I HATE granules of sugar on my food, that is what should be omitted. Pancakes. Caramel sauce. Whipped cream. Coming back from Pheonix, we stopped by to grab a quick bite and I am SO glad that I did. We ordered breakfast. The usual, eggs, pancakes, bacon. I had biscuit with gravy. Our waitress was very polite, courteous and just overall perfect at her job. When our food came and was placed down, I was pretty happy with how everything looked. Once we dove in it got better. There wasn't 1 thing wrong with any item we had ordered. Everything tasted perfect as far as temperature and quality goes, and flavor was great. Whoever was cooking or the team of cooks there when we were there, they were right on the money with everything. I let the waitress know that the food was excellent, and told her that this was the best Denny's I have ever been to, and that is the truth. I think the bill was $20 something, and I left our waitress a $20 tip. In my opinion it was well worth the $40. I pay more then that for a Vegas buffet and they can't get bacon right. If she reads this anytime soon she'll know who it came from :) After I left I thought about it and wanted to leave another tip for the cooks, but I had already hit the road and was doing other things, didn't think about that until way far out. But they deserved a tip as well. If I ever get the chance to pass by this spot in the future, and time permits, I will for sure stop by and get another bite to eat. Denny's is definitely not on my list of go to's when it's dinner time, but being that it was the only thing open after 9 besides fast food Denny's it was. I asked about the soup but they said they stopped serving at 10 so I pointed out that it was 9:30 and the waitress said they just didn't make anymore because it had been a quiet night. I ordered the BBQ burger with onion rings. It was your basic burger, nothing special. I will always associate Denny's with dining while drunk where everything taste amazing. Sober, not so much. We stopped in the other night around 9pm on our way through town. The food was excellent, we live in Vegas, and the one in Wickenburg served us the best Denny's food we have ever had. I tried to eat here, AGAIN!! Ordered a half size Nachos to share with my husband, the photo looked yummy on the menu. They came out, and of course, it was missing sour cream. The server fixed it immediately and we proceeded to eat. The Nachos tasted like one of those microwaveable burritos you buy for cheap in the grocery store or convenience store for not so cheap. I ate 2 and let my husband have the rest as I was no longer interested. I had iced tea and my husband had coffee. Our server was tremendous and on the ball as there was a crowd.
