I tried to eat here, AGAIN!! Ordered a half size Nachos to share with my husband, the photo looked yummy on the menu. They came out, and of course, it was missing sour cream. The server fixed it immediately and we proceeded to eat. The Nachos tasted like one of those microwaveable burritos you buy for cheap in the grocery store or convenience store for not so cheap. I ate 2 and let my husband have the rest as I was no longer interested. I had iced tea and my husband had coffee. Our server was tremendous and on the ball as there was a crowd. Very friendly and gave my husband the full carafe of coffee he requested, No problem there. By the time we left the restaurant I was already feeling sick to my stomach. Walking in i was greeted immediately. Hostess very friendly. My server isnt wearing a name tag. Looking out the window there are 5 dead flies on the sill. Sugar and jelly caddies are empty. My food comes and there are 2 hairs one in my eggs the other across my sausage. Wish i couldve taken a pic but as soon as my plate hit the table i mentioned the hair and the plate was immediately removed. Low rating because of the night shift cook. He was yelling louder than needed for an order up. I mean extremely loud. He was also clanging his spatulas as loud as possible. I can't take stuff like that having PTSD. It puts me on alarm. I can't eat while I'm in a fight or flight state. I asked the waitress to ask him to keep it down so I can eat in peace. He didn't. I stopped eating after eating maybe 5% of my meal. Paid, and told them I am never coming back. Hostess said that the locals like when he puts on a show. I didn't come there for a show. It took 40 minutes for the first member of our group, but it took 2 hours for me to get mine. I feel bad for our waitress because she honestly tried hard and it was her first week. Place was virtually empty and still service was slow, food was cold when zi got it, and they charged me way more for the food then the price advertised on the menu. When I asked for the Manager because I questioned why I was charged more, the waitress said that's the price. What an idiot. The manager came and said the prices were changing but the had not received the new menus. I advised her you can't legally charge more then the advertised price she said uhh..okay . But she took off the difference in the price of advertised meal and the new price increased meal by hand, but still charged me tax on the original price. Really what idiots read more

My boyfriend, myself, and his 3 year old foster sister met up with his mom, dad, and 2 year old foster sister. We were all heading up to Prescott this past Saturday (1/30) to play in the snow. When we got there, they were already set up with drinks & pancake balls (strange, yet greasy & delicious). They'd placed our orders as well since they texted us for them when we were still 15min or so behind them. The food was good. The service was just okay this time since I can't remember if anyone ever came to give refills on anyone's drinks. I know they came by and asked if everything was okay a few times, but that was it. Still, friendly staff. The bathrooms weren't anything spectacular, but it's a bathroom...at a Denny's. Anyways, we all left full and went on about our day. read more

I was VERY surprised with this Denny's off a bit from town by the small local hospital. Service was excellent, food was perfect!! I had a veggie omelet, fruit cup, and paid $.89 (cents) more for 2 very large multi-grain pancakes. Everything cooked to perfection, with great presentation. So much for thinking Denny's was like what I had been in before; fast food mostly breakfast, and pre-prepared small entries with no presentation. Very reasonably priced since prices in Wickenburg, AZ are very high for just about everything. Too many Winter Visitors with money and this "one horse town" thinks it is much more classy then it actually is; lost in the 60's. Don't come here expecting to get a "deal" on anything..... read more

Server's response to request for check (after a long wait) was "didn't I already give that to you?" Since she found it in her pad, clearly the answer was "no". Honestly giving this place one star is generous. We sat at our booth for 20 minutes with no service. Finally I had to ask if we were going to get a waiter soon. Our waiter must have been new because he was very nervous. After another ten minutes still with no drinks we got up and left. I expressed my lack of customer service to the hostess and she basically said okay bye when I told her we were leaving. I also thought it was very unprofessional how the manager was yelling at employees and reprimanding them in front of customer. I will never ever attempt to eat here again. read more

I have been several times to the Dennys in Wickenburg Az it always seemed like a pleasant place until today. I simply ordered wheat bread instead of white simple enough. I got white and asked for it to be exchanged simple mistake simple request when the woman took it back the cook said clearly " Your irritating me today" to the waitress or me not sure. Got the wheat bread everything seemed fine but noticed it was missing the garlic sause since he changed the bread. The first waitress was rude and acted like she didnt know what I was talking about like the sauce was in the white bread but it wasnt it clearly ont he menu says a garlic sauce not a garlic bread which the white bread was not garlic bread anyway. Finally another waitress came and knew what I was talking about and asked the cook for a side of the sauce. He was so pissed off instead of giving it to the waitress he stormed out and slammed it on the table. My 1 year old daughter was frightened she didnt even see him coming and he slammed it hard and huffed away like seriously pissed. Not only did I notice his hands were really filthy when he set it down but he had chew in his mouth. I notified the manager how rude he was and she agreed she was really nice and so were the other waitresses minus the one who acted like she didnt know what went on the sandwitch. She said she had warned him about his anger before and when we went to leave the other cook (helper guy) glared at me like so rudely holy crap its not my fault you forgot wheat bread and when you switched it over you forgot to re apply the sauce damn the cook acted like he was some chef on a gold thrown who couldnt be bothered its like you work at dennys and have chew in your mouth and have dirty dirty hands gosh it didnt have to ruin my whole meal. I didnt even want to eat anymore but thank goodness the wonderful manager said it was on the house. Like I said have been there before and it was great. That dennys is very comfy and nice with all its windows. After the experience with the cook and his other cook helper with all the tatoos who was so bent on glaring at me the whole way out I dont think I will ever go back and its such a shame too my daughter loves the fries and the crayons and coloring book :( all in all good serivice they just need to fire the cook and is helper. read more

This place is hit or miss. I stopped for breakfast my waitress had big problems and took it out on my wife and me. From the minute she came to the table I knew I should have left. If she could have thrown the food to us she would have. The only tip I could have given her was get a life. The eggs were under cooked over medium is just that not barely over easy. After a very long day of moving, my Mother and I went to Denny's in Wickenburg, AZ. Walked in at about 8:30 PM, it was like a meat locker! Walked past a table of four to our booth and heard the adults saying the same thing! My Mother complained to the waitress and we were told "only one a/c unit was working, it is about 130* in the kitchen unless the a/c is not set where they had it!" Next time the waitress came back to the table, she was asked if the temp had been adjusted as it was still on and still very cold. No it was still the same. The night shift manager/cook kept staring at me, so I in turn kept staring back. Finally he sauntered himself to our table explaining everything we had already been told! Another words, he was trying to kiss our ass with our own lips! He was not accommodating to the patrons needs what so ever! We had ordered soup and sandwich; needless to say the grilled cheese sandwiches were cold by the time we finished our soup! We will make sure not to go to this facility while this manager/cook is on duty!! Logically thinking, in my opinion, if you don't keep your clientele happy, they will not be returning, therefore the cooks, waiters/waitresses, etc. will be out of a job! And then the restaurant will shut its doors! There should have been some kind of a happy medium while they were waiting for the a/c unit to be fixed! Totally disappointed! Reasonably clean, service was OK, food was average for a diner. One of my breakfast items was 2 pancakes. The top one was normal; the bottom one was charred, blackened and should never have left the kitchen. I felt insulted that it was even served; It was sent back and replaced. read more

First let me say that Denny's is not a place I expect too much from. I mean, they don't really specialize in any one specific thing, just diner food stuff, which isn't bad, but also isn't really ever my first choice. My friends and I were in town for a race event and our hotel was right next door, so we walked over to eat. We were seated and drinks were ordered and delivered quickly. When it was my turn to order dinner, I asked about a specific dish, the Steak Skewer Skillet. I am Gluten Free and was wondering if the sauce {a Bourbon sauce} was the only thing about the dish that contained Gluten. The servers response was, "I don't even know what Gluten is, so I don't know.". Um, what? So she went to ask the kitchen staff. When she returned, she informed me that they had no idea what it was either. How do you work in food service, in a restaurant that actually has GF options noted on the menu and NOT know what Gluten is, or what it means to be Gluten Free, or what a dish that YOU ARE PREPARING contains? I ordered my dish without sauce, and all was well, except that the food was, "meh" at best. The meat was dry. The veggies were good though. The server never came back to refill drinks so we had to flag her down. The manager or whoever it was who took our checks and money at checkout DID take 10% off of our meal because we waited about 40 minutes for our food in a mostly empty restaurant. I would never ever return to this Denny's. I will not recommend this Denny's to anyone. The staff need to be educated on the restaurant and on the food they are serving. read more

Went to Denny's for dinner. It was the worst time I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Service-By for the most inexperienced crew. Orders were mixed up throughout the place, taking beyond an hour to see food at a table, 6 tables w/people, 3 servers and you couldn't get a water w/o getting it for yourself. Getting asked 3 times, "What was it that you ordered?" Food came out after 1hr 45min and wasn't what we ordered! (After 3 times verifying what we ordered!) The cooks and their meal presentation was horrible and nothing like what was supposed to be. Portions were REALLY 1/4 to 1/3 of what was normally given. Servers lost 3 tables to LONG wait time. Kept saying cooks and servers were all new and so sorry. Then changed to, "well I'm normally graveyard shift and we're never this busy". 6 TABLES 3 servers and never got above 6 tables because frustrated people. Out of 8 of us, 4 people ended up eating and the other 4 either didn't get food or their food was under cooked. We stayed because there was nothing really open and we were, despite the horrible excuse for service, we had a great time talking and laughing, otherwise would have left after 2 tables lest before us and it took 40-45 min. to get drinks. As well, it was our Son's birthday and wanted to eat somewhere because our house is flooded so we're stuck in a hotel. Eat at El Ranchero or Anita's Cocina or somewhere else, starve, eat McDonald's or find yourself a vending machine. The crew needs to be overhauled or switched around w/ serious training intervention or the owner is going to start suffering some losses because the word is starting to get around that they are not the place to dine at. Save yourself. Eat at another place or convenience store. I can't tell you enough. Sorry for the long write up, but people have to know. read more
