We had a really nice time with our group at Deno's. We were in town for a weekend getaway and it was a nice little spot to cozy up and get some good food. We had a group of 12, and we had called and made a reservation for lunch a week or so in advance. We were sat at 2 separate tables (fine by us) and ordered a variety of wine, cocktails, and beers. The drink menu is pretty solid, and I liked the espresso martini! I ended up getting a salad and fries because *balance* and both were super tasty. My salad was really fresh (I got the Greek) and the fries were seasoned well and crispy. It was definitely a good spot for us to visit and handled our larger group like pros. We'll be back when we're in town!

Don't let the reviews online fool you into thinking this is an upscale restaurant. Upscale prices, sure. Upscale food and service? Unfortunately not. Ambiance has potential however everyone shows up in very casual clothes. This is not a dress and tie spot at all. You need to call and make a reservation or risk a 30 minute wait. The mussel and clam appetizer was 9/10. Caesar salad followed was tiny, and not very good 4/10. Our drinks were put in upon arrival and didn't come out until after we finished both the appetizer and the salad. My friend ordered a top shelf lemon drop and I ordered a sangria. Her first lemon drop tasted like rubbing alcohol. Very disappointing. My sangria was decent 8/10. I ordered the Chicken Marsala which was a breaded chicken breast over seared asparagus and mash potatoes. Honestly very happy with my choice, a solid 8.5/10. My friend ordered the linguine and clam which honestly was very disappointing as well. The sauce was very watery and had too much lemon. Almost tasted like just straight up lemon juice 6.5/10. My friend tried to order a second lemon drop specifically asking for grey goose and I watched from our table as the bartender failed to use the grey goose bottle, using the same liquor for multiple lemon drops in different orders. We sent the drink back and requested that the bartender remake it with grey goose and he finally got it right. At the beginning of our dinner 6:40pm when we got sat, we put in a to go cheese pizza order. It is now 8:25 pm and we still are waiting on our to go order. Overall the service was disappointing but I can tell this is crowd favorite in the area.

We dined here based on a recommendation from a bartender at 1 of the breweries. She was spot on with her recommendation. We arrived at the same time as about 12 other people but despite being 5:30 we were all seated pretty quickly. Our waiter, Danny, stopped by our table without delay. It was obvious he took pride in the restaurant. Many menu options sounded good but I settled on medallions Rustica(surf and turf) with 4oz filet and shrimp. It was cooked perfectly. Speaking of perfectly cooked my husband was thrilled with the salmon piccata. He asked for rare and got it! I loved that Danny made a fresh pot of decaf coffee so I could round off my meal with a cup. We liked this place so much we may return and bring the kids.

Denos is a staple in WP. The friendly staff always offers a quick smile and treats you like your an old friend. The steak bites are presented beautifully And very very good. The bar is easy to at.

Food was delicious! The wings were crispy! The dipping sauces were great! The staff was a little slow to bring out a water after one of us didn't order a drink.

Deno's hit the spot for a fairly quick, weeknight meal. We were lucky enough to go during their happy hour and were able to take advantage of their drink (wine) and appetizer's at a reduced rate. The menu is fairly standard for restaurants around here. Sitting outside on the patio was a great way to enjoy the cool mountain air and beautiful sunshine. We were delighted with the hummingbirds who frequented the petunias on the patio. Ahi Tuna entree was prepared simply and served rare -- I like that. The Caesar salad was alright. Service was efficient and helpful.

Service was fabulous. The steak tips appetizer was phenomenal as was the cheese appetizer. I had the New York strip, which was definitely very well seasoned. A little bit tough though. Service was wonderful and we had a great time.

Food was delicious, salmon and shrimp were perfectly tender. The pesto pasta had great flavor. Great wine selection, waitress was very kind and helpful!

Made a pit stop here on my family's way out of Winterpark after our family reunion festivities. It's located on charming Main Street and is a great location to people watch if you're seated on the outdoor patio. The menu has a great varied selection with a few options we were not expecting to see such as curried mussels, fried tomatoes, and gyros. Our party ordered the Mediterranean mezze platter, bistro salad, gorgonzola & hot honey pizza with added pepperonis, and Mr. T's chicken sandwich with French fries. The best of those had to have been the pizza, salad, and mezze platter. The chicken sandwich was soggy, the fried chicken itself wasn't as crispy as it looked, and overall just lacking. The service was slow, but our server was very kind and accommodating. Overall, it is a good spot for brunch - I can't speak for dinner, but if you're in town I'd recommend giving it a try.

I visited Denos recently with my brother during our trip to winter park for some skiing. I thought the calamari appetizer was just ok, we did not finish it. Our mains were great though, I got the short rib and my brother got the steak. The ambiance in the restaurant was nothing special, but the service was great and super quick for how busy they were! Would return it back in Winter Park but for the price it wasn't anything to rave about.

And to stumble upon this chic and inconspicuous cocktail bar in the busy downtown was something I wasn't expecting and became a treat after a nice stroll through the town after dinner in my hotel room. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was at the place where my heart was calling for. There were two gents at the bar and one of them warmly greeted me and said I could sit anywhere I would like. I hence picked one of the bar seats. Except one table that was occupied by a couple I was the only one. I appeared to have picked the right time; I had the whole bar to myself (eventually though, several different groups of people streamed in; only a few of them sat at the bar close to me. The bar was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a little over 10 people.) Jeremy, who greeted me upon arrival, was a super host. As soon as I explained that wine is my usual got-to, he said he could mix and match reds and whites to create a "flight" based on what I had told him as to my likings. His extensive explanations as to what sorts of reds and whites the bar offers/serves was (of course) all in his memory. His eloquent speech with no filler words truly impressed me; he sure is a wine connoisseur. What he picked for me were... -2024 Pepiere "Les Gras Moutons" (Muscadet) -Kobal "Bajta", Hazole Belo (aka Orange Wine) -Sandlands "Red Table Wine (Lodi Red Blend) With his wealth of knowledge, after giving him only a hint of what I liked, what Jeremy selected for me to sample/sip was a superb choice. All of them were world-class excellence with elegance and beauty. I carefully and slowly sipped each one little by little to truly immerse myself in the art of wine. Yes, wine is a piece of art for sure. I think I said it correctly at the beginning of this review. This is a cocktail bar with variety of spirits which Jeremy could easily concoct just about anything from gin-based one to vodka-based one to tequila-based ones to whiskey-based one to name several. For those who don't drink, their zero-proof section also has something interesting to browse and choose. Not to mention, rotating pilsner or IPA on tap to name a few from the beer section as well. If you need a little bite to eat, their (changing) food menu has a good number of New American-style plates. The bar originally opened in a different building back in 2015 (I believe). They moved to the current location in 2019. They also offer various different classes so you can expand/extend your knowledge. So for your next foodie vacation in Vail, make sure to include Root & Flower in your list.

Price: Expect standard Vail pricing for high-end cocktails, with most drinks ranging between $16-$20. Customer Service: The service was fantastic. The staff was incredibly kind and efficient; even though we stayed for quite a while to catch up, we felt welcomed and well-attended to the entire night. Atmosphere This spot has a cool, welcoming vibe that feels very safe. It's the kind of environment where you can really settle in and enjoy the company you're with. The Drinks I ordered the Sangre del Sol. The flavor was amazing, though be warned it is very strong! It's an excellent choice if you enjoy a cocktail with a serious kick, but I ended up letting my friend finish mine after a few sips. Overall Experience I highly recommend Root & Flower for a beautiful setting and top-tier service. Pro Tip: A huge bonus for this location is the parking! You can park for free after 3 PM at the S. Frontage Rd. East garage right nearby. I'll definitely be back!

The winery is on one end of Main Street, and has patio seating (there was live music outside), as well as an interior tasting room. Right off the bat, we didn't think either of the people working were overly friendly, and didn't really make us feel overly welcome. We decided to do two flights of red wine - kind of insane to me that a flight was $40, thank god we had a 2 for 1 discount. The other people in my party also said they'd give the experience a 2 or 3 stars - price was unbelievably expensive (especially when you can go down the street at Carboy and do a flight for half the price). No one was impressed by the service either - for a flight, I'd expect a little more background and explanation of the wines, but the person came and dropped off beakers of all the wine with a quick explanation then left it up to us to pour our own wines. The wines themselves were nothing spectacular either, two from Colorado and two from California grapes (I think) - we liked the blend but that was about it. Unfortunately would not recommend this place to others or come back.

This place does an incredible job cos-playing Yellowstone while completely ripping you off with a smile. It's a rustic-chic facade designed to distract you from the fact that the kitchen is operating at a high school cafeteria level. If you're going to charge "Wagyu" prices, you shouldn't be serving a steak that is bone-dry and flavorless. The rosemary potatoes had zero hint of herbs, and the broccolini inexplicably tasted like fish--a massive red flag for kitchen cross-contamination. To cap off the "fine dining" experience, our dessert arrived at the table still frozen in the center. It's clear nothing here is actually made in-house. Beyond the culinary failures, the bill was a mess. They conveniently "forgot" to honor their own Wednesday special ($50 off a $100+ bottle of wine). When you're spending over half a grand on a meal, you shouldn't have to audit the check for basic math and promised discounts. The only reason I didn't make a scene at the table was out of respect for our server, Bill, who was professional and hardworking. It's a shame the management and the "chefs" are hiding behind their front-of-house staff while running a total grift in the back. All hat, no cattle.
