As I rushed to get us out of there since my daughter was crying in pain on and off I asked for a milk Togo to ease her suffering which my server insisted she had to charge me for ... , I can go buy a gallon of milk for what it would of cost for a Togo cup for a child but it's just the principle seeing a baby is hurt and not doing anything to try and help as a server is honestly embarrassing & frustrating! I imagine that your opinion of DBC will vary greatly based on where you are from. For me being from the Midwest where biscuits and gravy are a standard diner staple, and transparently for a restaurant where this is the feature the food was mediocre at best. The service was great. We had a wonderful waiter who made recommendations, was talkative and attentive, and just overall pleasant. The atmosphere was nice but nothing special. The cost was reasonable if a tad on the expensive side. There is no reason to not visit Denver Biscuit Company (outside of the long wait times to be seated) but there is also nothing that would make me go out of my way to eat here either. Decent breakfast spot. I got the shrimp and grits with biscuit. I think the sauce on the grits was not enough and basically disappeared shortly after served because the biscuit absorbed it. I've been to Denver Biscuit Company at this location and the one on Tennyson several times. Both are amazing and delicious! If you come to this location though and you come early, expext a long wait because it'll take an hour or more to get in with how the lines get here. Once you get inside though , you'll forget about the wait. Everything i've triex here is well seasoned and cooked/baked to perfection. I usually get a biscuit with scrambled eggs and cheese on the side, bacon on the side (you get more when you order it on the side) topped with the mushroom gravy. The mushroom gravy is out of this world delicious. I've also tried the biscuit with fried chicken. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and super moist on the inside. You really can't go wrong here. I will say I prefer to to to go the Tennyson location after 1pm- only because the parking is easier and theres less of a wait. I'll be back for sure! read more

Our first night we went to Fat Sully's Pizza but the cool thing is that Denver Biscuit Co is located in the same space, both in Atomic Cowboy. So while Ben slept, I came in to try the breakfast that was also featured in the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives episode. So if you're a buscuit place I am always going to order your buscuits and gravy to try first. If you can't nail an amazing sausage gravy that speaks worlds to me. I do have to say that their gravy was a miss for me. I know I am a sausage gravy "snob" and have high requirements and sadly theirs didn't hit them. The biscuit is very good and there were a couple other options that sounded really good that I'd like to try so I will return. I do love that they have self service coffee so you just grab a mug of your choice and get your coffee as you want or need it. When friends came to visit for the weekend, I knew there was no better place to wow them with brunch than DBC. We all ordered different meals, and every one of us was beyond happy with our choices. Delicious, filling, indulgent, and well worth it, this is the breakfast you need after a long night out. The cocktails are also very tasty. I had the tomahawk with an impossible sausage patty. I never would have thought to pair strawberry rhubarb jam with a savory breakfast sammie, but the combo is truly inspired. On an earlier visit, I had the vegetarian pot pie. Divine. The wait, as always, was long. Put your name down, then bop around the neighborhood and kill time until they're ready for you. Just be sure you can get back quickly! It's like a fusion of several restaurants together but we came here for the biscuits. There are lots of seating and bottomless coffee- if that's your thing. I like that the water comes in the glass jar. The interior is very nice with the brick wall and the decor. It has a nice vibe for a brunch setting. I ordered the Franklin with an egg and it is a huge meal. There's so much food that comes with it and the biscuit sandwich is quite large. But the fried chicken and bacon mixed with the egg and gravy does taste quite scrumptious. I just crush everything with a fork and knife and mix it together to eat so it's not very pretty afterwards. This place was so good!! I honestly didn't have high expectations as I don't love biscuits, but this place def changed my mind. I tried the Franklin and the Lola and both were very good! I actually prefer the Lola a bit more. It is basically the same thing as the Franklin, but with maple syrup and honey butter instead of gravy. If you enjoy sweet and savory, it is perfect! I thought the fried chicken in both was so good too. Not dry at all and great flavoring. Biscuits were so soft and fluffy. I substituted the Franklin's biscuit with biscuit french toast. I'd probably keep it as is next time, but the french toast is much fluffier and softer if that's what you prefer. We also got the giant biscuit cinnamon and it was super good. Not too sweet! Portions for all of these were huge. I would definitely be sharing next time. Service was fantastic. The server checked up on us, gave great recommendations, and overall was friendly. Based on how absurdly busy this place seems to be my review is not likely to hurt business any, but if you are a family just looking for breakfast and happen to read this maybe it will sway you to consider your options. Denver Biscuits is LOUD, not that large and quite harried inside. We registered to be seated and had an almost two hour wait at 11 a.m. on a Saturday. (Hint, don't come if you're in any type of rush) I was hopeful for something special about the biscuits. I mean they have the word biscuit in the name. I found absolutely nothing special about the biscuit and it looked/tasted no different than a pillsbury biscuit I can make at home. The scrambled eggs I had were rubbery and our server didn't once offer a drink refill despite two empty glasses sitting toward the end of the table. This experience was mediocre at best, not worth the almost two hour wait, and in my opinion Denver Biscuits is too big for their own good and over rated. This dish came with honey butter, which was sweet and salty with a strong honey taste. Three Run Double: The eggs were fluffy, and the bacon was really crispy. I've had this bookmarked for a while and finally was able to make it out for breakfast one weekend. I checked in on their website so our name was on the list. The timing was pretty accurate. There's only street parking and we got lucky in getting a spot right in front. I absolutely love the self serve coffee station that available to you while you wait. We were seated quickly after checking in with the hostess. Our server was so friendly and gave us their recommendations on what to order. Since everything sounded so good we ordered a few dishes and we all shared. The bacon cinnamon roll - its huge, full of Frosting and bacon. My only wish was that the bacon was rolled in the dough, it's crumbled on top of the Frosting. But it was still delicious. Biscuits and gravy was a must. We ordered it with scrambled eggs and it was so good. Again, huge portions. We also ordered one of their sandwiches and I forgot the name. But it was my husband's favorite. He still talks about it. My youngest ordered the kids Biscuits and fresh jam. They were the perfect size, so light and fluffy and the berry jam was amazing. Saved us waiting 30 minutes for a seat. This location is unique because they have other food brands mixed into one spot. We were able to order a slice of pizza while we waited for our biscuit sandwich. I forgot the name of it, but it was the biscuit and gravy sandwich. The biscuit was nice and flakey. I don't really eat breakfast on a day to day basis but when I travel, I'm all about checking out the breakfast options in the area. We decided to visit this spot and we were the second party in line when they opened on a Saturday morning. We ordered "the Franklin" and "the Lola", along with the giant biscuit cinnamon roll. The Franklin, one of their most popular biscuit sandwiches had a fried chicken patty topped with cheese, bacon, and gravy which I requested on the side. The Lola had a fried chicken patty with bacon, honey butter, and syrup. We upgraded to the biscuit french toast for the Lola. The cinnamon roll was ready first. It was large but I wouldn't call it "giant", as it's alluded to on the menu. I've had much larger cinnamon rolls. It was just ok for us. Maybe the bacon was needed but I couldn't justify paying $4 for a few bits of bacon on top. We were unable to eat it until our sandwiches arrived however as the plate I was given had old food caked on it and our waitress was nowhere to be found. When the sandwiches came to the table, it was clear that of the two, the Lola was the winner. The French toast biscuit was really good. It was soft and sweet and very well baked. I couldn't try the sandwich in its entirety though as a huge pat of butter was just underneath the top part of the biscuit. Their regular biscuit was soft but not very flaky or fluffy. I did enjoy the sausage gravy however but I opted for a sweeter topping, which I found with their apple butter. The chicken on both sandwiches looked a little over fried, just shy of burnt. I like my fried chicken a little lighter and with a crunch from the skin. I may be a bit spoiled after recently having excellent biscuit sandwiches at Portland's Pine State Biscuit Company but I just thought that the regular biscuit here wasn't as good as I was hoping for and the fried chicken was overcooked and on the dry side. I went here for the second time this Friday afternoon. The wait was extremely long. They estimated a 30 minute wait but it was closer to an hour. When we were seated it took forever to be served and for our food to come out. The music was extremely loud making it hard to converse with people across the table. I also have a one year old daughter who was sitting in a high chair. Because the tables are elevated, the high chair is not able to slide up to the table. This made it nearly Impossible for her to feed herself. This definitely impacts the possibility of us coming back with a young kid. The food was good. I had the biscuit pot pie which was packed full of flavor. Everyone else at the table also enjoyed what they got. The wait and lack of ease with a child makes me weary to go back anytime soon. I couldn't go to Denver and not go to Denver Biscuit Co! It was on all the travel vloggers and bloggers lists. I made it on my last day and went with a full appetite and empty stomach. It was a weekday so I didn't have to get on the Waitlist or wait upon arrival or anything. (I called ahead to double check though.) I ordered The Franklin which includes fried chicken, and your choice of vegetarian or meat gravy. I got the mushroom gravy (vegetarian) and added a fried egg for the extra charge. It was really good. If anything I could use even more gravy. I ate mine myself but it was also 1:00/2-ish and I hadn't eaten that day. Cool location on Broadway that shares space with the pizza spot under the same umbrella. My server was the bartender and he was great. Seems like a cool dude. Came here later in the morning on a Sunday, I highly recommend using their get in line feature from the website where they'll give you a wait time estimate and text you when your table is ready. It does get busy fast, I initially checked at 9am and there was no wait, but by 930 the wait time was 45m-1hr and our wait time ended up being over an hour. As for the food, absolutely worth the wait. Everything on the menu looked fantastic and if I lived in the area I could see this restaurant single handedly taking a few years off my life. They had a great mix of traditional southern comfort type sandwiches and some unusual combinations of ingredients where I couldn't imagine getting bored here. I went for what I thought was one of the more unusual menu items and had the Biscuit Pot Pie. When they say the biscuit is smothered in pot pie filling they were not kidding, despite the appearance of just being an exploded pot pie, there is a biscuit under all that deliciousness. When you finally get down to the biscuit it's been soaked in all the different flavors and makes for a fantastic end of your meal. Overall, I'd say this spot is a must if you're visiting the area, but make sure to plan ahead as I could easily see wait times getting to over 2 hours at their peak. read more

I was a bit disappointed with the waitlist time estimate - I joined the waitlist online and ended up waiting a lot longer than the estimate listed. The biscuit I got was the Dahlia. It had a flavorful spicy sausage, an egg, and was covered in maple syrup. This biscuit was very good, but ended being a bit too sweet halfway through. My bf, however, got the Franklin and LOVED it - so I'd probably try that one instead. It has a perfectly spiced piece of fried chicken and savory gravy. Overall a pretty good experience with great biscuits. Not sure I'd recommend the Dahlia (unless you have a huge sweet tooth), but the Franklin seems like the winner! Wife and I were in town for Dodgers/Rockies series and looking for a cool local spot and Atomic Cowboy knocked it out of the park!!! Very laid back vibe, cool decor, service was superb and the food was absolutely insane it was so good!!! We actually went back the very next day we enjoyed it so much. Wife got the Franklin which was fried chicken and bacon on homemade biscuit smothered in gravy, so freaking good. And I got the Cuban which was a Cuban sandwich with homemade biscuit instead of roll. I have had no less than 100 Cuban sandwiches in my life from Miami to every other city along the way and the mojo pork on this sandwich was quite possibly the best I've ever had. I was shocked and so incredibly happy!!! This place is a must!!
