This place came highly recommended from a hometown southern friend, so had to trust his judgment on quality biscuits. DBC did not disappoint at all!!! We came straight from the airport on Saturday mid-day, and had no issues getting a table. Love the billiards table and overall bar vibe, not what I was expecting. On the weekend though, I've also been here and everybody has the same idea. Wait times can get to longer than an hour. In terms of the food, I'm willing to bet you won't leave hungry. The servings feel massive and it's the stick to your ribs comfort food. The biscuits are nice blend of soft on the inside and a nice slight crispy on the outside to hold the form against all the gravy or other sauce you order it with. Everything tastes delicious and of high quality. Definitely a fun spot to go for breakfast, just plan ahead on the weekends or expect to wait a long time. It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't great. My wife's biscuit was dry and mine was doughy. Another disappointment was that when we arrived we asked about sitting on the patio. The host said let me check and came back to let is know they weren't seating on the patio. That was fine, we understood. However, a few minutes later they were seating on the patio. If you're coming on a weekend for brunch, I would highly recommend adding yourself to the waitlist at least an hour in advance. We were driving from the ski resort on a Sunday and made sure to put ourselves in advance. The whole party needs to arrive before being seated. There are only a few tables that seat over 4 people so if you have a large party, be sure to book in advance. There's a diner feel to the place and I loved how there were two different restaurants operating at the same place. I ordered the pot pie because I absolutely love pot pies. This place soon came to be one of my favorites pot pie places. The mushroom was integrated really well and I loved the crispy biscuit on the outside. I was able to finish the entire meal myself and still had room for more. I ordered a biscuit on the side and tried their jams, I would highly recommend trying different ones.
