We finally tried the new place that replaced Blu Ember and were disappointed. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich; the chicken was overcooked and rubbery. We also had a couple of cocktails that were very weak on tequila. The salad was the standout on this adventure. I hope they get things sorted and return to the quality Blu Ember offered, since it's more or less the same team.

Banana tart that I ate after hours (aka when the kids were finally sleeping)

We stopped by here for a night to split up a road trip…read more We had been wanting to come since we wanted to see their golf course for another time and it was a really nice location. Golf course was closed but we were still able to see it. It's a big property. Lots to do. Do like they allow dogs since we had ours. They had multiple pools which we liked. We didn't use it but near one. Neither one looked too busy which was nice. Once we got settled into our room we went to go see Pinz and Pints since they had arcade games, including a duckpin bowling. My son was really excited about that. When we went they had a complimentary drink and candy bar. Drinks they offer are limited but still decent. We did get some food there as well. We got their nachos, Mac and cheese, and chicken tenders for my son. Both the nachos and Mac and cheese were really good. Love nachos and wanted to keep eating them. The next morning we went for breakfast at Pinzimini. They have a buffet option and also have a standard breakfast menu to choose items from. My husband got their brioche French toast and I selected to do their buffet. I know he liked the French toast. I liked the items offered in their buffet. They had a mix of mini pastries, cooked items, fruit. I primarily stuck with their pastries and fruit. Overall it was a nice location. Golf course is big. Hopefully we can go again and experience more of the items they offer.

The resort fee also felt hard to justify. The included amenities did not seem to match the extra charge. The two complimentary drinks were limited to Truly canned drinks or a small pour of hard lemonade or iced tea, which felt underwhelming for a resort of this caliber. We did enjoy the range balls, but as early risers, I would have appreciated access to the spa or pool earlier in the morning. Unfortunately, the room itself left a lot to be desired. The bed sheets had what looked like an oil or grease stain, the closet door was broken, and the overall furnishings and finishes felt worn and dated rather than well maintained. This is very much a family resort, so that is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Even at the adults-only Paloma Pool, children were jumping into the water and splashing guests' drinks while parents appeared unconcerned. That made it difficult to relax in what was supposed to be a peaceful setting. On a positive note, the entrance walkway, lobby, and open-air courtyard are beautiful and make for a strong first impression. Unfortunately, that charm does not extend to the guest rooms, which are clearly in need of a refresh.

Our overall experience was lacking in almost every way. We were seated outside, and this was bad. The only available table was on the side by the street, and we were in full blast range for the wind and the sound of their outdoor AC. I can't put it to words how this impacted our overall meal, and the immediate regret we felt. Their indoor seating was also not going to be possible for us because of just how loud it was. Our server took our food and drink order right away, but she never checked in on us after the drop off. I ordered the Irish iced coffee, looking forward to getting a nice treat drink. I ended up getting just a regular iced coffee, and unfortunately I had no chance to try and flag anyone down to get this sorted out since we were never checked on once the items were delivered. This includes the waters we ordered for the table as well. The only good thing about this was that I was only charged for an iced coffee. The eggs Benedict were simply "ok" and rather unremarkable. They arrived just above room temperature and while they weren't bad, they weren't great either. The sandwich was fine, but the home fries were over seasoned by far and had way too much salt. Overall, this was a disappointing brunch. Unless they really look into the quality of the food, the lack of table service, and their terrible side dining area by their outdoor AC, I can say we have no plans on returning.

I can't remember the name of it, but I already know I'll be ordering it again. OH my gosh! I almost forgot about the amazing Blueberry Pancakes! A must! We sat on the patio with gorgeous views and perfect weather. You really can't beat that. If you're ever in Rancho Mirage, this place is a hidden gem & definitely worth checking out. It's located in a small plaza with plenty of parking & beautiful mountain views. Looking forward to my next visit!

Visited with the boyfriend, June 2026…read more Ordered eggs, toast, hash browns and a side of onion rings and the BF had a hamburger with potato salad. When my breakfast arrived, the hashbrowns were almost cold and whilst the toast was nice and brown, as I had requested, I wasn't happy with the hashbrowns. My boyfriend said his burger was good. The potato salad was good, but the potatoes were a little hard. Our waitress, after dropping the food off, did not come back to us to check if everything was ok, not once. I was going to make a complaint about my cold hash browns, but there was no one to talk to about it so I gave up. There was also a greasy flavor to the eggs and the hashbrowns, which can happen if the oil is not changed enough. All in all it was a disappointment, I have driven by this place so many times on the way to my library in Rancho Mirage and I had wanted to try it for years. But if you're serving lukewarm hashbrowns with your breakfast, and if your waitress does not come back and check on you one time to ask you how is everything going, that is not good. She literally didn't even come back to top up my coffee. The coffee was not great either. Another server did to up my coffee once and then when someone came to give us the check, they left the wrong one. It was for a different table. All in all the service was not good. Conclusion, if you look at some of the reviews here, many people have said that no one checked on them once their order was delivered to their table so obviously no one's reading these reviews because this is still happening. I mean seriously this is basic service 101. You drop off the food you give them a little bit of time and then you go back to make sure everything's OK. Maybe they know it's not OK so don't want to ask.

Complimentary fresh bread is warm, delicious, and crusty accompanied by French butter that doesn't taste like regular plain ol' butter. Might be the best tasting butter I've ever had and served at the right temperature and consistency. I loathe butter that's so cold I can't even spread it and need to incubate it in my hands for a few min. Beef stroganoff with extra sauce, since I love me my sauces, was a 9.37/10. If you ever liked the beef stroganoff microwave meals when you were a kid, even remotely, you'll love this dish. Talk about hitting the spot. I proceeded to eat more bread dipping it in this sauce. The pasta was fresh, nice and chewy. Mussels with fries were good. 8.22/10. Nice big portion with plenty of broth. Pro tip if anyone is trying to get a little tipsy: All the wine was not cooked off. Also more bread dipped in this sauce. Also spooned it up like a soup. Seafood pasta, ordered twice since one wasn't enough! Solid 8.89/10! Altered this with a tomato based sauce rather than the creamy clam sauce as the 3 taste testers don't like creamy sauce. Fresh chewy pasta once again. One again, used the bread as a vehicle for the sauce to my mouth. Yes, all the food was good but the bread...the bread...and the butter... Si Bon...c'est si bon...

The avocado toast with over-easy eggs was absolutely bomb--fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked eggs. The star of the meal was the chicken, bacon, and waffles. The service was great and friendly, and willing to seat us even an hour before closing their lunch hours and giving us lots of time and patience and never let our waters get low either! Their coffee is french press, and they offer fresh pressed juices too. They brought the french press pot to the table so you could press and refill your own cup as needed. We got grapefruit & watermelon, and both were refreshing and cooling. We ordered the avocado toast, the breakfast croissant, the breakfast sandwich, and the salmon crepe. Everyone really enjoyed their food. I found the salmon crepe to be really delicious, served with a jammy egg, a generously sized portion of salmon on a bed of spinach with some creme fraiche all wrapped in a delicious crepe wrap. I've never had anything quite like it. Also major compliments to the simple but refreshing side salad that came with each of our breakfasts, but we were also given the option of potatoes or mixed berries. Would recommend highly to anyone in the area looking for a good spot to have brunch.
