The girls at the counter look so unhappy. Never greet me or thank me. It sucks that they are miserable and work at this fantastic place. I will continue to go back simply because the food is amazing. Vegan bakeries are few and far in between, and as someone who is NOT vegan, but appreciates the vegan culinary arts, I was very excited to see a full pastry case. I ordered the cortado, butterfly pea flower latte, a jalapeño cheese kolache, and a creme brûlée donut. The cortado was more of a cappuccino in terms of size/volume but I still enjoyed it. The butterfly pea flower latte had vanilla in it, and the oat milk yielded a delightfully creamy drink that I would absolutely make the drive for again. The kolache was good. The croissant dough was buttery and flakey (amazing what vegan butter can do nowadays!), but the sausage was missing that decisive "snap" texture when you bite into it. Oh well, it was still a very good breakfast treat. I took the donut home and had it a few hours later. I loved how crispy/crunchy the bruleed/caramelized top was! When our daughter saw the cake, she was ecstatic and even brought to tears. It made her 16th birthday incredibly special and truly unforgettable. On top of that, the cake was unbelievably delicious. Most of what is available is a pastry, a few cookies and other odd items like spreads. We've been twice and bought bagels but they were unable to re-heat them or provide even butter or cheese for them. The sandwiches are varied and made with their bread. Prices aren't low or medium but fair given that they are making it all there. Watch the hours as they may be open but aren't serving lunch or only have certain products available. Call in advance if you want something special.
