Detellos rocks! The pizza is amazing nice thin crust , great sauce and smooth mozzarella. My number one pizza I love is the Bacon cheeseburger with dill pickles fantastic. I also love the pasta dishes spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs big moist and tasty. I like the fettuccine with two meatballs is my favorite. The pasta dishes comes with a half a loaf of garlic bread with or without cheese the pieces of bread are huge and made in house. I visit the Chaska location the most but have been to both and the service has always been friendly and the place is clean. Detellos scores! We stumbled across this place purely because we were leaving the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and the kids asked for pizza. I yelped for the nearest pizza places and this was it. THANK YOU, YELP. This place was delicious! We ordered the bacon cheeseburger pizza, thin crust and it was phenomal The Crust - really light and crispy The Toppings - This place loves their cheese, and that is a beautiful, beautiful thing. They did a great job of layering on the additional stuff (and pickles are optional - I suggest them) The Sauce - The sauce they used for this pizza was actually like a light BBQ sauce. It complimented the toppings really well. The service was very friendly and personable. This appears to be a small, family run affair. It also appears to be a local favorite. We had a couple of local residents come up to us and compliment our children (dressed up for the festival) and proceeded to tell us how much they love this place and their daughter requests to EVERY time she comes home to visit. Clearly, any place with excellent service - food - reputation is going to be worth your while. I would strongly recommend visiting this place if you are ever passing through. We are already planning a second trip up to the festival and I can almost guarantee you that Detello's Pizza will be on our to-do list. read more

First time my girlfriend and I came here they were busy but, had open tables. We stood by the wait to be seated sign for about 5-10 minutes waiting for one of the cooks or somebody to greet us but, got nothing so we left. We tried again thinking that with a 4+ star rating it would be really good. We were wrong. I had pizza and my girlfriend had the chicken alfredo. We both had garlic bread for an appetizer. Drinks and appetizer came out in a decent amount of time but, the entrees took a lot longer. My girlfriend's noodles were so over cooked that they would break when she spun them onto a fork. The alfredo was really good but, the chicken was bland. The pizza was good but, not memorable. Overall the experience was ok. We will not return though. read more

Sadly, I must update my Detello's review. This is after two seperate pizza take out orders (several months apart) for four pizzas total (two different pizzas each time). The crusts were not fully cooked, doughy, soggy, and NOT what pizza lovers like. At first, I thought it was a fluke. The first time that I had undercooked, doughy, soggy pizza crust, and toppings sliding... Detello's was busy, lots of orders, rushed, etc. Maybe it was a fluke? I was wrong. It happened again 2-3 months later on a non-busy night. Again, undercooked, doughy, soggy pizza crust, and toppings sliding... and I drove so slow and careful. I had to try to bake it at home to try to finish it. It fell apart because it was so undercooked, trying to put it in the oven on a pizza pan was difficult. I'm not sure what happened?! Did their oven break? Their staff stop caring? The management just stopped caring? I'm not sure, but the quality is gone, and I am sad and disappointed. I will either have to drive further, and have Broadway pizza, or make my own from scratch. My homemade pizza has a very thin, crisp, cracker crust even when topped with the works. No, I'm not a professional, I just love good pizza, and I CARE to MAKE a good pizza. The pizza here is fantastic! It's sort of like thin crust, but with regular pizza toppings. And they cook it very fast! After ordering, the food arrives within 5-10 minutes. I ordered the garlic bread appetizer w/ cheese added. They come as HUGE slices of bread with cheese added. You can buy sauce for dipping, but they charge extra for this. I was hoping for a Calzone or Stromboli, but they don't have those choices on the menu. They do have several pasta options and lots of pizza choices. I would highly recommend going for the pizza. Detello's is definitely the best pizza place in Carver county. The pasta lunch specials are a little bland and average but the cheesy garlic bread, meat sauce and pizzas are just phenomenal. The pizza is nice and crispy with plenty of cheese and toppings like it should be. The pizza does tend to be a little bit greasy but in a good way. A month after opening Detello's still hasn't quite been able to keep up with demand in Chaska. Ordered pizza for pick up on a Friday night - was told it would be an hour before it was ready. Fine, it's Friday night, we'll wait. But then when I arrived and tried to pay, their sole credit card machine wasn't working. As they weren't going to accept the $5 in cash I had for an $18 order, I had to go to the Kwik Trip next door to get cash. They were apologetic, but it was an irritating experience in that because they had no contingency plan, our dinner cost us an extra $2.50 in ATM fees. I rarely have cash in my wallet and never have my check book in hand, but I guess I'll have to be the one with the contingency plan the next time we order from here. Honestly, if the pizza wasn't so good, I'm not so sure we'd bother with the hassle again. read more

The thin crust pizza is a definitely worth 5 stars...a spicier sauce and the perfect amount of toppings and cheese. I'm not a huge sausage pizza fan but tried a piece with some friends and its probably the best I've ever had. Small beer and wine list but offer a couple of my faves on tap - Lucid IPA and Odell's 90 Shilling Ale. Our server was pretty good, didnt have a hostess when we were there (6pm on a Sat) and they definitely could have used one...a bit confusing trying to get a table and not the nicest about it. Had a server, first name Jecenia, lie to me about something i have ordered in the past. The Deep dish bacon cheeseburger pizza. What i received was a thin crust create your own with Sausage and ham. When i asked the server if she was sure this was what i ordered she told me yes. When i questioned why there was a different sauce and no bacon she told me that there was never bacon served at Detello's. I asked the server 3 times and got the same answer every time. The manger was kind enough to give me a coupon for the price of the incorrect pizza but the server could be heard Gossiping behind the counter about how i never ordered such a thing and that i was lying. The only reason i am giving a second star is because we are regulars at this location and the server is very clearly new. read more
