It's pretty much a grab and go place, with some outdoor tables. You order at the kiosks in the window. We ordered the proper pepperoni. It's a pretty good deal since you get two squares for $9, and you get your food pretty quick. I wouldn't say that this was one of my favorite pizzas in the city -- the dough was really thick and the sauce was really salty. My partner said it was pretty good, but since it was the first time I had Detroit deep dish style, I had nothing to compare it to and I thought it was delicious! We got the proper pepperoni slice for about 9 dollars and our food was ready in about 5 minutes. The guy who served us our pizza was very cool . I was craving some pizza late night and saw this place in the Mission open until midnight on July 4th so thought I would give it a try. It was a new place with few ratings, so thought I would give it a try. This place seemed like a togo only place, with two small tables out in case you wanted to eat there. They actually served their slices in 2, meaning you get a corner piece and a regular piece, which is kind of nice because you know you will get a corner which is sought after for Detroit pizza. It took around 5 min to get the cheese and the veggie slices, and the cheese was coming out right from the oven. We took at home to try as it was packaged nicely as well. The crust honestly felt dry for Detroit pizza, so not as authentic as I thought. The flavor was great. The cheese definitely cooled down, so it didn't feel as nice, so may have needed toaster oven treatment. But the cheese was cooled down to a separate layer, so it felt a little cheap and didn't really help the crunchiness of the cheese crust. The veggies on the pizza worked really well, which is what saved the pizza! The person at the front was friendly, and the price was extremely reasonable for the area. Maybe I have to try it again next time when it's more fresh and reheated, but for a place that calls themselves as such, it wasn't the best that I had in the area. read more

What I was disappointed in was the "white dipping sauce". Paying $4 for ranch, I was expecting some delicious homemade ranch, but instead was given a small hidden valley packet? Now that's a rip off! It is worth the price, with amazing ingredients, large slices, and absolutely ridiculous and gimmicky add-ons that I might get next time. Food 5/5: I have got to say that I was impressed by both the dough and the crust of this Detroit style pizza. The pepperoni was quality and it came smothered in hot honey with extra tomato sauce on top. I especially liked that the crust was crunchy with crispy cheese baked into it. As we were ordering dessert across the street, I saw the cutest little store front with a sign that said Detroit pizza and I knew I had to give it a try. As we've been doing lately, to fairly judge a spot we ordered their classic cheese slice and which ended up being elevated when they top it with tomato/marinara sauce and some cheese on top. I wasn't even hungry when we ate this and I totally enjoyed it. The edges were crispy, had a good bite to it and overall a really tasty Detroit style slice of pizza. The added sauce after reheating the slice I could do without. The sauce was room temp, kinda cold, so the first mouthfeel is cold which takes away from the hot slice. Next time around, just the cheese slice, no sauce for me. I think for the price for under $8 after tax, one slice (then cut into two) was plenty for two people. She, in her very limited English, insisted that it would be $1.00 more. The dollar doesn't bother me, but the dishonesty does.
