We had a strong craving for boba and decided to try a new place. It can be scary trying new things but this one was worth it! We got the tiger boba milk tea and the love potion refresher. The boba was made perfectly not too hard but not too squishy. I tend to be super picky with my pearls so this was def approved by me! The tea was the perfect amount of milky and tea. I know a lot of places in the bay tend to be one or the other. Next was the love potion refresher, and we both enjoyed it. I was a little afraid since lemonade drinks tend to be too much sugar or too much an artificial taste. I did not get either of these with the refresher. It would be a perfect drink on the hot day. We tried the tanghulu which was good too. So excited for this spot to finally open! Now there's a local spot to get your K-corn dog and mochi donut fix! Mochi donuts are nice and chewy, and there are fun seasonal decorations (like Easter ones right now). Not impressed, I feel like I got ripped off. I was charged $7.48 for a 16oz drink on their menu it shows $7.25 for a 24oz drink. This doesn't even taste good, it tastes like just straight up milk. After years without, we finally get a treat spot with friendly and welcoming staff. There seems to be more savory choices than the Devil&Angel in the veranda location such as, plot twist, multiple corn dog flavors like Cheetos and Takkis?! The first time I came here, I was just walking by to pick up lunch next door at The Kebab Shop. I peeked inside & decided to venture in as it's light & spacious inside. The kind owner offered me a sample of the mochi cinnamon sugar doughnut. Delicious! Now I've been back for that doughnut several times. My husband brings his friends here too. He likes the blueberry yoghurt smoothie a lot! I tasted it tonight & plan to order it next time. Our daughter & her family already knew about this place & often bring their toddler here for soft serve. I tried the affogato vanilla soft serve with boba & liked it. Wow really good. I came on Easter to try the tanghulu - very good i'm just not a too sweet type of person so i will pass next time. Not their fault - it's literally a dessert covered in sugar. I came again today to try the korean corn dog. I ordered the hot cheeto one with just mozzarella inside. OMG. Sooooo good. It was crispy and did not fall off the stick unlike other places i've been to. They also have a variety of sauces - i used the spicy mayo only as this is my personal favorite. After i ordered the korean corn dog, i couldn't help myself but order a drink and mochi donuts. What i REALLY like is that the drink is not too sweet. I hate when other places have their drinks waaaayyy too sweet. I ordered the peach black tea and damn it was absolutely perfect. They even put slices of lemon in it. Super refreshing. Last thing i ordered were 3 mochi donut. I got the cookie monster, fruity pebble, and cookies & cream. Mochi donuts were absolutely fantastic. Yes, they are a little pricey but to be honest it's not like a regular shmegular donut - we are talking about a mochi donut. & they're pricey everywhere, not just here. The shop was super clean and organized. I noticed that they had board games if you wanted to hangout and lots of tables to sit with your friends. They also have self order systems if you are feeling a bit antisocial. The customer service was great - the nice man greeted every single potential customer who walked in and asked if they had any questions. I know that should be a given but nowadays it's rare to find good customer service. I will be coming back. So happy they have a location down the street from home. They had a sneaky little trick by telling everyone to leave a 5 star review for a free glaze mochi donut, however I see past this. The boba -- undercooked, hard in my mouth, unpleasant taste. The smoothie I got was not smooth and was blended very poorly. The milk teas I purchased left a bad taste in my mouth. The service was nice and the barista was kind. But the tunes playing were too loud and I needed to repeat myself multiple times. Also, the mochi donuts I purchased were hard and might've been stale.
