Finally got to try the infamous Devil's Teeth Baking Company! Let's just say it is so worth the hype!! My friend placed an order online which saved us so much time waiting. Pick up order was a breeze. I tried the special breakfast sandwich, which was a definitely a filling meal. The biscuits were soft, yet moist. It held up the sauce, eggs, bacon, cheese and avocado very well. Everything was so flavorful. Whatever sauce they put in their sandwich is so freaking delicious. Messy sandwich but in a good way. Another place checked off my foodie bucket list! I would say the special breakfast sandwich is worth a try at least once! Such a hefty breakfast sandwich filled with cheese avocado sauce and big pieces of bacon. I also appreciate the location since you could grab your goodies and walk down the hill straight to the beach. Super speedy and friendly service, there's outdoor seating and a friendly cat you can say hello to! Also loved the quaint inside themed around the shark and their baked goods. This place is superrr popular so of course I had to go. My friend was visiting from LA so I was so excited to bring him here and show him our awesome food scene. Sadly, we both ended up pretty disappointed. We both got breakfast sandwiches, one regular and one specialty one with the lemon aioli. The biscuit itself is good but the sandwiches were so dry, I couldn't believe it. Desperately needed hot sauce or something. Other than that, just found the sandwiches pretty average. I hear the other baked goods are great, especially the cinnamon roll. Also great vibes and location so I do wanna give it another try! read more

One if the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had! Get The Special, the aioli and avocado and biscuits are simply superb! Is great with sausage but I prefer bacon. Also amazing cookies! I had the Mexican Hot Cocoa and it was perfectly, soft, chewy, with great spices. Ice latte was also perfectly balanced. This place gets packed! I strongly recommend ordering ahead. There is some bench seating outside mostly used for folks waiting so its more of a a grab and go spot. read more

I was happy to stop by on a week day during lunch to no line! This place gets super packed on the weekends. It's nice coming here before or after a walk down the great hwy for some breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and pair it with some coffee. I forgot how light, fluffy, and creamy their eggs were. Freshly made buttermilk biscuit. I opted in for the special ; buttermilk biscuit with bacon, avocado, egg, pepper jack cheese, and lemon garlic aioli sauce. I usually get the regular so I was a bit worried that the lemon garlic aioli sauce would be too overpowering. However, it was not too heavy on the sauce and all the perfect portions. Loved it! Came in on a rainy day and there was no wait at all! I ordered a single buttermilk biscuit with the side of the special aioli sauce. The biscuit was good and warm from being toasted, but it was on the edge of being a little TOO golden/burnt. The aioli is VERY good and you will want to lick the container. I've been to Devil's Teeth Baking Co. before and have really enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches, but unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the service this time. I placed an online order at 3:25 p.m. through their preferred ordering platform and arrived at 3:30 p.m. to wait for it. At 3:45 p.m., I received a notification that my order had been cancelled. When I asked the staff why, I was given conflicting explanations: first, that I had ordered after the kitchen closed at 3:45 p.m., and then that the order wouldn't be ready before the bakery closed at 4:00 p.m. I showed them my receipt, which clearly showed the 3:25 p.m. order time and stated it would be ready in 25 minutes, by 3:50 p.m. They still refused to make the order, even though they were preparing food for other customers. I understand that mistakes happen, but the conflicting explanations and refusal to honor an order placed before the stated cutoff were extremely frustrating. The food has been good in the past, but the service and handling of this situation were very disappointing. read more

I came on a Thursday morning 8am, there was 3 customers in line. Thank goodness! Ordered 2 special breakfast sandwiches, chai latte & peanut butter cookie. The cashier who took my order, she's so nice. She got every one's order right, she called out everyone's name for their correct items. She is extremely chill which inspired me to be chill at work that day. Waited around 15- 20 minutes for my order. The sandwich is amazing! I love the light spiciness. Egg is fluffy ASF!! Best biscuit I've ever had (not really a fan of biscuit bread) Chai latte wasn't as sweet as other coffee shops/bakery which enlightened me. Don't get me wrong, the sandwich was good but the price is kinda crazy for what it is. Its overall like a 7/10 on the flavor, I think it was a little overhyped coming into it, but that's not their fault. They didn't heat up any baked goods, or even asked if we preferred it that way. I understand they're busy, but it definitely takes away from the flavor and makes it less worth the value. read more

My summer began with a lackluster biscuit sandwich on the east side of the country, so I was hopeful to end my summer with a redemptive biscuit sandwich at Devil's Teeth. By golly did they deliver! I vegetarianized The Special, which the staff made happen. The biscuit was perfect, and the fillings of scrambled eggs, avocado, pepper jack cheese, and lemon-garlic aioli were plentiful. It's a phenomenal sammie. The phenomenal didn't stop there. I could say the same with the monkey bread, cinnamon roll, and donut muffin. I'll be remembering this breakfast for a long time. read more

I've been here twice now on weekend mornings and while it's always super busy, I've luckily been able to get my food pretty quickly (within 10-15 minutes). Maybe it's because I just order the special breakfast sandwich which seems to be the most popular item so they can probably make it in bulk. The sandwich is definitely loaded up, and they are generous with the fillings (lots of eggs, bacon, avocado). The biscuit is also quite buttery (tasted really good but towards the end it was quite filling). It is definitely on the heavier side but kept me full until late dinner time! It can be a pricier breakfast sandwich, but I think they do make up for it with the portions. Also tried the iced latte here before- it was a good/standard latte, but I think I would mainly come back for the breakfast sandwiches! Parking is not bad in the area if you circle a few times. I usually pick up my food and walk down to the beach to enjoy it with a view. Only a few blocks from Ocean Beach and a fun way to spend a morning. read more

I was in the neighborhood and found Devils Teeth with the help of Yelp. I was torn between the biscuit sandwich or tuna sandwich. The gentleman working the front confirmed that their biscuit sandwiches were the most popular item. I decided to the regular biscuit sandwich. I saw them prepare the sandwich and noticed the eggs were prep made in a pan. I was kind of expecting the scrambled eggs to be made to order. The cheese and bacon were added and placed in the oven for a few minutes. There is stand up seating in the restaurant and benches without tables outside. I took my sandwich outside. It was somewhat dry and crumbly. Next time, I'll give the tuna sandwich a shot. read more

Now this is a bakery worth going too! Typically bakeries will run out of pastries in the early afternoon, not Devils Teeth Bakery! I had a late start to my day and arrived around 12:30, within 10 minutes I received my hot coffee, cinnamon roll, and biscuit sandwich. The food was to die for and tasted fresh! I had no idea what to expect when it came to this spot. I was recommended it by a dear friend, and it did not disappoint! It's right next to the beach, which is kind of nifty. We walked in on a slow morning, and we were able to get our orders in right away. Two special sandwiches and a few pastries from their cabinet. The sandwiches were jam packed full of eggs, bacon, avocados, cheese, and some sort of sauce. Really balanced, and super unctuous. I'd get this probably every time. It normally comes on a biscuit, but I hear that you can get it on sourdough if you want! We ended up enjoying the sandwiches on the nearby beach, and that's the way to do it. If you want a filling, flavorful & unique breakfast sandwich experience - this is the place to go! Made the order online and it was ready to go at the estimated time. Our food was in a bag for pick up placed across the counter. They also have unique baked goods, of course had to get a few. The Special - 5/5 - Buttermilk biscuits were dense and held the everything together well. It was stuffed with ingredients, smothered in the sauce. I love how they are generous with the fluffy egg. The pepper jack contrasted the lemon aoili in a fantastic way. The aoili itself did taste just like an elevated mayo. Donut Muffin - 3.5/5 - Loved the fusion. The pastry itself was like a sugar dusted muffin, as it was more dense and buttery like a muffin and not so much like a donut. Chocolate Chip Cookie - 5/5 - Wow, this one of the best cookies I've had in awhile! Big size, soft and gooey, chocolate in almost every bite. Get one, you won't regret it. Literally every thing we ate here was great! We had regular sandwiches ($11.50) as well as special sandwiches ($13), which had pepper jack instead of cheddar cheese, avocado, and lemon garlic aïoli. We had the grilled cheese with soup (cream of tomatoes) for $15. We also ordered a few pastries: lemon bar ($4.25), oatmeal raisin, and brownie. The mocha and latte with brown sugar vanilla syrup were also great! It's very casual with bench seating out front. No seating inside at all. This is a great little bakery/coffee spot to come hangout at noon on a weekend. It does get pretty busy and bustling with people hanging out on the benches outside however but it's a nice spot to chill. Their special breakfast sandwhich is a cure for whenever I have a hangover lol. Combination of fluffy eggs, bacon, cheese, avocado, and the lemon aioli soaks into the thick biscuits. Popular place but no indoor seating, great to hang around with friends on the weekends, they do have a bench area outside where people can just chill and enjoy their coffee and sandwich. The service was pretty good, they did run out of sourdough when we got there which was a bummer but they offered to cancel our order and they gave us cookies to make up for it!! The line may look overwhelming, but don't let it fool you, it moves fast! I got the breakfast special without bacon and it was delicious and FILLING! The biscuit was perfectly made and had the perfect consistency! The avocado was fresh and delicious! Then I got some cookies and those were delicious too! The egg sandwich was kind of disappointing, lacked flavor and I felt like the biscuit was just too dense for it. I think the tuna sandwich was actually a much better alternative and was fresh, yummy, and light. The cinnamon roll was perfect, a bit on the sweeter side but it had a good sweet and was balanced. The menu is set daily, so the dishes can vary from what's shown in previous photos. After ordering, it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The summer vegetable hash comes with beans, squash, tomatoes, corn, carrots, peppers and eggs. I typically associate hash with potatoes, but surprisingly this dish does not come with potatoes. The dish was fairly mild, with most of the flavor coming from the individual vegetables. It's definitely a lighter, healthier take on hash and would be a good option if you're looking for something with more vegetables. The plow comes with eggs, lemon ricotta pancakes, potatoes and choice of meat. The lemon riccota pancakes were the star of the dish- light, fluffy and not too sweet. The potatoes were crispy. The steak + eggs was a hearty option. The steak was tender and juicy and went well with the chermoula sauce. Anyone who grew up with me knows my absolute hankering for sweets. But, since growing a bit older (hopefully wiser) and a bit more health conscious, I've suppressed a lot of my sugary habits... Until now. Oh Lord, forgive me for I have sinned. Even the thought of consuming sweets sends me into a guilt trip. That being said, I have heard so many great things about Devil's Teeth Baking Company and decided to make the trek from SOMA to the outer Sunset District just for this place. And with a name like Devil's Teeth, who wouldn't be slightly seduced? And like the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden, I knew I shouldn't have been anywhere near it. Oh well! Sometimes you just gotta YOLO it! *throws scruples to the wind* Upon arrival, as I opened my car door, I could immediately smell the aroma of delicious baked goods permeating through the air. It was like a delicate lullaby to my nose tempting me to come closer. God please help me to resist temptation as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. As I walked into the store, my heart skipped a beat. There they were. Cookies, croissants, cinnamon rolls, danishes and a plethora of other delightful delicacies sat behind the glass display ready to be devoured. I really really really really DO try hard to make healthy choices, but today was NOT going to be that day. The first thing my eyes settled on was a large peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The angel on my shoulder said not to, but the devil on my shoulder said come on, just try a little. The chocolate chips were so large and numerous throughout the cookie that I was convinced that maybe a small bite wouldn't hurt. Next my eyes shifted to the crumb cake. I grew up eating cheap ol' Little Debbie's and thought that even then, it was the greatest thing in the world. Since those Little Debbie days, I've learned a thing or two about quality and let's just say that this coffee crumb cake had it goin' on in all aspects! Soft, delicately sweet, with a bit of a tart flavor from the rhubarb. Sweet Lordy Jesus. By now I had no conscious at all. Just give me the goodz! I also purchased the cinnamon roll. Words cannot describe what I tasted and felt, but let me go ahead and try. Soft Gooey Sweet Cinnamony Crunchy. You name it. This forbidden "fruit" was better than I had ever imagined. I needed something to wash this all down before leaving, so I decided to go with one of their house made mango juices from the fridge. A perfect way to end such a sugary trip. Prices are a tad high, but for the quality and flavor you get, it is well worth the extra pennies. They have outdoor seating that is great for relaxing with your coffee or pastries, or to even just chatting with your friends. This place is kid friendly and has colorful chalk for children to draw on the city walkways with. They also serve savory dishes, sandwiches and sourdough bread. So, if you aren't in the mood for something sweet, there are plenty of other options to choose from at this bakery. The only excuse I have for going on such a sugar crazed frenzy is "The devil made me do it." Yeah, that's it. I want to start off by giving a heads up to the owners, who decided to open such a fantastic bakery on this street. It is exactly what the neighbor hood needed. The owners are wonderful, always very interested in who you are, and what your about- It makes one feel good to be asked questions- because it shows they truly want to get to know their customers. I have a lot to say about this place.. so hold on to your seats. The staff: About 95% of the staff are sweet, and overly attentive. But lately the same two young girls, have given me less than standard service.. For example, when I came in by myself to get a few things- the young Asian girl with glasses and black hair and another girl with brown hair and blue eyes- ignore me- especially if there is other young men in the bakery. Normally I wouldn't consider this a problem, but it has happened now more than a few times.. It doesn't make any sense to me, because EVERYONE ELSE is SOOO overly nice and polite!??!? BUT I still come here because I love the food and the location.. right by the beach. OK now for the food: In the latest issue of 7x7 magazine that frequents my office... there was an article about the "top 10 places to eat in the outer sunset". What made me SO happy, is that Devil's Teeth scored 2nd place out of 10 for their breakfast sandwich!!! The breakfast sandwich I have had it REALLY good- and then other time disappointing.. but hold on let me emphasize that when its GOOD- its REALLY GOOD. It's a home made fresh biscuit, cheddar cheese, bacon, and what they call their "two egg-er"- which is an enormously sized scrambled egg.. When it's "good" it's due to the perfection of the ratio portion of the bacon, egg, and cheese.. I read in the article that there is to be 3 strips of bacon when in fact... it is ONE piece of bacon folded over. Last time I brought one home for my wife, she opened it up and saw little else but a daunting 4 inch egg-er in the sandwich.. I hate to say this but she just threw the egg to our two labs.. they seemed to like it. it was way too much and over powered the rest of it. But either way I cant deny it is one of my favorite things on their menu. -Pie: The strawberry pie is by far my favorite. Lately they have been doing a strawberry and blueberry blend- which is alright, but my favorite is the plain strawberry! The banana creme pie is second to none and I dream of it often :) -Muffins: My favorite muffin- by far is the black berry muffin.. the blackberry banana is also great as well as the blueberry banana. I can woof down these heavenly muffins in a sitting- that's how good they are. I also highly enjoy the donut muffin, but the fruit muffins are by far the BEST, possibly that Ive ever had in my LIFE! - As far as the rest: The Cheese cake- is AMAZING. I love this little topping they put over it.. its almost like an extra creamy topping.. since cheesecake can b somewhat dry. I love the lemon cheesecake as well. Definitely have to agree with everyone that Devil's Teeth Baking Company is very FRESH! I came in ready to start my morning off with one of their breakfast sammies and the banana blueberry muffins. I have a huge soft spot for breakfast sandwiches. When I saw that Devil's Teeth serves breakfast sammies, I was super excited to try one! I really appreciate that the sammies are made fresh - right after I placed my order I saw them crack the eggs into the skillet. The portions are also huge, but then again the breakfast sandwich was $5. So how did the food taste? Well...I was slightly underwhelmed by the breakfast sandwich. The biscuit was soft and flaky, but the sandwich was dry and lacked flavor. They should add some hot sauce or ketchup on the side. Also, I really wish they put sausage in the sandwich. There are 2 strips of bacon, cheese, and lots of fluffy scrambled eggs but where's the sausage?? The banana blueberry muffin comes topped with whole blueberries baked into a banana bread muffin. The texture of the muffin was a little too doughy and tasted a bit bland. Just an extra hint of banana flavor and these muffins would be perfect! Only got their ginger cookie because I went a little late in the afternoon and most pastries were gone. I wasn't hungry at that time so I decided on the cookie so I can save it for later. The ginger cookie was delicious!! I wasn't even hungry, but decided to try it anyways and it was yummy! It is about the size of your whole hand (pretty big cookie) for $2.50. There are actual soft ginger candy chunks in it that are sweet/very ginger-y and the cookie itself is a good blend of saltiness and sweetness. Very chewy cookie and did not turn hard or dry out after a day. The staff were very friendly and you can help yourself with some water if you'd like (located at where the sugar/creamer are). There are limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating. They serve not just pastries/brownies/cookies/cakes but also breakfast/lunch sandwiches, lunch dishes..etc. Also have beignet Sundays for $1 a piece...too bad I went on a Saturday. I recently visited Devils Teeth and my overall experience was mixed. The first thing that struck me was the extreme wait time, which made me think it must be a popular spot. The place was indeed bustling, which often indicates quality. However, when I finally got to taste their offerings, I found them to be just okay. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, and while it was decent, it didn't particularly wow me. I thought it would taste a bit more homemade but it tasted like something you get at Safeway, very sweet. The biscuits I tried were a bit hard, even after requesting them to be heated. On the positive side, their beignets were a highlight, being soft and fluffy, and the coffee was passable. Prices are fair. Street parking. Outside seating available. In the end, I'd rate my experience at Devils Teeth a 3/5. I've lived in the Outer Sunset for years and have been to DT many times. This place is quite overrated: the lemon bars are overly sweet, most of the pastries are overpriced to begin with, and the special breakfast sandwich is a mess (seriously, wrapping the sandwich in foil after it has hollandaise isn't a great idea . . . plus it is incredibly small for an expensive sandwich). It certainly isn't very affordable, and many of the positive reviews (and long lines) come from outsiders who drive out here and take photos for Instagram. That is (probably) why the owner supports reopening a small stretch of highway close to the shop that locals have used for fitness during COVID (and needs to remain closed). That isn't the reason for this negative review, but it should serve as a warning that this place isn't a local community hub - it's just popularized by out-of-town, non-local folks. I'm always surprised at why this place has good reviews. Ok- I admit it- I am taking away two stars because the line is ALWAYS atrociously long. But the REASON WHY the line is atrociously long is because their staff is somehow always horribly untrained and slow. Clearly they have bad management issues and a lack of training, as the people are always kind and helpful, they just don't really seem to know what's going on or how to handle customer service issues. Speaking of that, the other star lost is because I've come here approximately 6 times, and at least half the time, they've screwed up my order. (I've also watched them screw up a bunch of other people's orders on a few occasions). For most people, you've waited so long for your food that you are desperate and just take the wrong order. But if you have allergies, this is really not the place for you. read more

I live two blocks away from Devil's Teeth Bakery and always see a long line, so I thought I'd check it out. Since then, I've been coming back here every week to grab a special breakfast sandwich before heading over to do some volunteer work at the San Francisco Zoo. The special breakfast sandwich is so bomb and seems to be one of the most popular items on the menu. I love that everything is homemade. The biscuit for the breakfast sandwich is deliciously flaky and full of flavor. I've also had their apple turnovers, lemon bars, and shark cookies, which are all amazing. Their Thai iced teas are also really good as they aren't overly sweet like most places. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. If you go weekend mornings, be prepared to wait 30 minutes to get your order. It's just that busy in the mornings, but so worth it! read more

This is why I love the city- for its fresh local food and bakery. I came out of my way to try this new place and I was quite impressed with their baked goods. I had the blackberry muffin with FRESH blackberries baked on top and the oatmeal raisin cookie. Both had the right amount of sweetness and yummy taste. And of course I had the famous Blue Bottle coffee to accompany with. However, I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have the banana blackberry muffin, which is really what attracted me here. I give this bakery 3.5 starts for its fresh and innovative goodies. It may not be the most amazing bakery in the city, but it may probably be so in the neighborhood. read more

We drive all the way from Antioch just to visit Devil's Teeth Baking Company, and it never disappoints. This little gem is renowned for its breakfast biscuits, which are absolutely worth the trip. After visiting this place several times, I thought it was about time to share my thoughts! Their breakfast sandwiches truly live up to the hype. However, I must admit that every time I order one, I find the biscuit to be a bit too dry for my taste, and I end up discarding the top bun altogether. On the bright side, the $1 beignets on Sundays are absolutely delightful. They're served hot and made to order, making them a real treat. We decided to check this place out after reading all the great reviews. We were very full after lunch but really wanted to try this place out. Their pastries looked pretty yummy.. They have the usual, bars, scones, cookies, etc.... But the reason I'm not going back is because the young bearded man in the glasses gave us the biggest most unnecessary attitude ever. Order with him if you don't want to piss him off. Apparently he thought the lady at the register was incapable of moving to her right a bit to grab a couple of things for us. I usually don't have time to sit and write a review on new places in my neighborhood let alone the city I live in but I have to comment on The Devil's Teeth Baking Company. The pastry selection is out of this world and if you are not a sweet tooth type of person then you should think about the curry chicken salad or their quiche. I am so happy to have this place in the outer sunset. It is great to bring your kids and either head to the beach or the park with a nice treat in hand. Give this place a try and I think you will really enjoy everything they have to offer. read more

A little tip for your Sunday plans -- $1 beignets at Devils Teeth Baking Co. and yes, they are as good as they sound. We popped in on a Sunday and grabbed some and they were so yummy. What makes them extra special is that they're made fresh to order, so you're getting them hot and perfectly pillowy every time. They're a pretty average size so my advice is to get at least two -- one is just not going to cut it and you'll regret not ordering more the second you finish the first one. At $1 a pop there is really no reason not to. A perfect little Sunday treat! read more
