I barely leave ~bad~ review because I try to be as understanding as possible, but I think this review is warranted. I wanted to get my acrylic nails taken off and get gel. I called ahead to check if they had any openings that day and they told me to come in at 3:30pm. They called back saying to come in at 4pm instead. The signal was staticky so she couldn't hear me mention to add another person. When we got there, they were totally ok with taking in 2 people. There are only two nail technicians at all times. One of them was already working on someone. The other started working on me, or at least with the most focus she could give me at the time. I'm all for multitasking but this was pretty annoying. She was more so absorbed with her phone and instagram messages, which she accidentally set on vanish mode so she was freaking out about that. NAIL PROBLEMS: She started taking off my acrylic nails pretty aggressively. She kept pushing for me to get dip, maybe it was faster than gel. So I ended up getting dip. She didn't clean my cuticles at all. Another customer came in, and all of a sudden she started saying ~out loud so the customer can hear~ to tell them next time if there are two customers coming. I told her I tried telling her on the phone, and realized that they were happy to take both of us and they didn't have to say yes when we came in. I just bit my tongue so maybe she wouldn't make me bleed like the other technician did to my sister. Back to my nails: She didn't ask me what shape I wanted, I had to tell her. I'm not sure what she was planning to shape my nails if I didn't say anything. My nails came out super lumpy because she was rushing the whole time. No attention to detail. Not relaxing at all. I just wanted it to be over. Last but not least, paid $105 for 2 dip manicures. Waste of money imo. It sucks because this was my sister's first time getting her nails done and it wasn't the best. Most don't include the designs in their pricing Holly does. She has all the modern up today trending designs, colors and charms. The location is within a little small shopping center pretty convenient close the freeway hours or later than most show actually stood over an extra hour just to get us completed because we hit traffic and got there an hour late we didn't leave her shop until 8 PM. Got a facial done by Holly! Originally I think it was supposed to be with Amy but there were some scheduling issues but that was something I didn't mind at all. The facial was amazing and Holly was so sweet and welcoming! We had a great convo prior the the facial and she made me feel comfortable. The facial itself was great and I LOVEDDD the massage parts, especially the décolletage massage. She did some extractions too. It was my first time ever getting a facial and I had a wonderful experience!! My skin feels so soft :-) If anyone was wondering, my total came to about $85 (she did my eyebrows too) and I tipped 15! Decided to support a small business during Covid and I went to this nail shop. they gave me a horrible service. The girl was paying attention and cut my toe during my pedicure. Then when I tried to pay they acted as if my money was fake even though they ask for cash only. After they yelled at me and told me i needed to pay another way but then decided it was real and did not apologize or anything. I will not be back. Plus my acrylic nail fell off two days later. *Warning these older reviews are not the same people who are currently working there & they might have taken the reviews from a previous ownership* there are only 2 people (Amy & Holly) and they struggle juggling clients & will agree to take on a walk in mid way your appointment as well. Amy had been doing my nails for the past year or so. In the beginning, neither Amy or Holly knew how to properly do dip powder. They had to watch videos of how to's as they were doing my nails, tried to pressure me to use LED light as the final step knowing PROPER dip powder does not involve gel or LED light. The dip powder step 3 (final step) was not drying properly and there were times I had to be at the salon for 3 hrs+ & once I had to come back and waste my time & money to go back so the top coat can be applied. Holly did my nails once, where she told me she was the owner. (This info matters for what happens later.) Her vibe is not genuine, she will just be nice so she can up charge/upsell. I didn't like her vibe so I went back to Amy. Since going back to Amy, each time I went for an appt, Holly never acknowledged me & would be so cold towards me... yet would micromanage and watch Amy doing my nails. She constantly tried to charge me more than what Amy would say. And when I finally confronted Holly, they tried to gas light me and say it was the owner who was there who said it. (But Holly was there & she told me she was said owner) Then Amy was like "I said my sister" .. Amy calls everyone her "sister" but before Amy pretended to say it was her sister... why would her sister care about my nails lmao who isn't there??? Before that they said Holly wasn't the owner... and I said Holly told me she was before. None of this makes sense and they're trying to confuse me. First they said the "owner" who wasn't there said to charge me more.. and I said how did they see my nails if they're not here? Lol silence. The most recent incident they also didn't have at least 3 of the color dip powder I was looking from the swatches. I called out how Holly has told me she was and all of sudden she was pretending she didn't say any of that hahah Holly was constantly watching Amy do my nails and pressures Amy to charge me more & more when Amy who was the one actually doing my nails gave me the price to which we agreed on. I always did solid colors and when I didn't I paid extra and Amy tried to be fair with me. It's Holly who is constantly in her ear pressuring her to charge clients unfairly so then Amy has become that person too. Natural nails (which I have) dip powder was $45 and I was fine with $50 (so $5 extra already bc of my "long" nails and "time") all is this should be part of the service but nail salons are getting so greedy and acting like there was a huge surge in price from inflation but it's not completely true. Oh & I tipped mostly $10 each time. It's not a 1000% increase *eye roll* AND they get products at a cheaper price point. I just ordered OPI Gel Matching 0.5oz $13.50 (for my toes), OPI Dipping Powder Perfection steps 1-3 $25.50, and OPI Dip Powder 1.5oz $14.75... each of those items comes with many applications/uses... so why do they always try to say the "product" or time to justify? Isn't that all part of the dang service? The math ain't mathing.. despite price increases happening in the world...they're not THAT much. I did my nails often too so as a loyal customer & who they allowed used my nails for pics as well... i couldn't take Holly's greed any longer. Holly is not a genuine person. If she's nice to you it's because she is benefiting from you & as soon as you leave she doesn't give off the same energy. And never with me after I chose to go back with Amy after Holly did my nails once and there issues with the top dip coat drying and kept pushing me to do LED for DIP Powder which isn't proper, neither of them knew or know how to do dip powder properly to be honest. I just had more patience with Amy but I know she had to educate herself on it. My nails came out okay however it is because I had to watch and examine and ask her to do them properly versus just taking your time to do well because it's what you should. So where's my compensation for all that then lol since nail techs want to charge for everything these days when it should be included in the service. read more

I have been going to Holly for YEARS. I've followed her to her new place. This review is way overdue. Nails are one of my few indulgences. I get acrylic with gel polish on my nails and toes. Plus eyebrow wax. I love Holly because she is friendly and really listens to what you want. She is extremely talented at nail art and design. You can bring her any pictures and she will create it for you. She is also vey meticulous with pedicures. They have a aromatherapy menu where you get to pick a scent and the products are individually packaged. The scent in the water, the scrub, the lotion... all matching fragrances. Today I chose Green Tea Detox, last time Jasmine. They practice all safety guidelines, sanitizing, social distance between clients and plastic shields. I usually end up coming home and needing to do more cuticle cleaning and filing of my nails. My pet peeve is when they cut me and sadly it happened today. Amy: 4 stars. She is genuine and she did an overall great job with my manicure. She welcomed my feedback when some nails needed more cleaning. I still needed to do additional cleaning and filing to make it even, but it wasn't a lot. I would gladly go back to Amy again. Holly: 2 stars. She was not welcoming nor positive when I arrived. There was a significant difference in her approach compared to Amy. I was very clear from the beginning with both Amy & Holly that they need to be careful and that I HATE it when I get a cut in a nail salon. Unfortunately, Holly cut me.
