Hidden gem for sure. It was a challenge to find a new nail salon in when we moved. I came in one evening last minute before they closed and I was hooked. They take the time to make you comfterable and that shows in their work. Came in today for a quick mommy break and this Angel served me coffee I wanted to kiss her forehead. Worst fill ever, worst polish job ever!!! I had been here 3 times before as a walk-in and each time I was "lucky" enough to have the owner do my nails. She was nice and did an okay but not great job. But for $15 couldn't really expect greatness. But my most recent visit (and definitely my last) was another story. Same woman (the owner) did my nails, but she acted like I was a new customer, she didn't remember me at all (interesting since each time I tell her my name AND I'm an excellent tipper... I always tip at least 20% for good service!) She barely said two words to me during my fill. And she totally RUSHED through it and did a horrible job. My nails were not even, had rough edges, and little dips that didn't get smoothed out. And she didn't even ask me round or square. I asked her (very nicely) to please file/smooth them out, which she did. I was totally willing to overlook that, BUT THEN she did a really, really, really horrible job polishing. I didn't say anything, because I thought she would clean all the stray polish off my cuticles and fingers at the end. NOPE. She stuck a fan in front of me and said "let dry" then walked over to another station. That's when I realized she had rushed with me to start on her "regular customer." I let my nails dry then walked over to pay her. Despite the poor customer service and bad nail job, I tipped her 20%. She didn't say thank you, or have a nice day, or see you again next time.... nothing! I will not go back. read more

Anna was awesome. I came in at 6 and they close at 7 (totally my fault getting stuck at work). I asked if they could squeeze me in for a gel man/pedi. They totally made it happen! My gel mani and pedi are beautiful, my cuticles are awesome and they gave me a great foot and arm massage. Anna was super kind and had exceptional attention to detail. Great price and service! Every time I have gone, I've gotten great service and the price is just right. I usually only go for the pedi because I do my own nails but I decided to do a mani-pedi this time around and I was not disappointed. They have a fair amount of colors and are always accommodating. I love the parafin dip and hot towel wrap with the spa pedi and once you buy the kit the first time $25 is not a bad price for a pedicure these days! The manicure was great as well. I opted for gel and she started me while my toes dried and then moved me to a table for polish. I decided last minute to add some sparkle and she found the perfect one! They cut up her fingers using the electric drill, her polish was uneven and the acrylic was much too thick. On top of all that they charged way more than what was listed on their price menu. Man I'v been going here since I was in middle school. Jimmy and Kelly do amazing full sets! They're so talented, and efficient! Anna is my go to girl for pedicures! She knows exactly what to do to keep my feet looking right lol. Kim is also a great option to see for pedicures! Kelly and Kim do beautiful nail art. I called this morning to schedule a pedicure. It was my first time there. Just for reference, I am super pregnant and was interested mostly in the massage and foot soak element (I got basic nails and don't really know much about fancy nails). I have a feeling that the lack of other customers and my obvious pregnancy played a role in the excellent service, but since it was so great, I have to thank them. I'm very pleased to report that in my opinion, they are very thorough, clean, diligent, and offer great value. You will need to pay $5 for your own nail kit, but on the upside, there's a guarantee that it is clean and new and you can take it home. I think it is possible that the experience varies depending on how busy they are (and it was not busy while I was there), but it was delightful. I was there for almost an hour, during which time they did at least 3 things to remove callouses and make my feet soft, I got a leg and foot scrub, I got a massage, I got a hot stone massage, I got some kind of warm wax treatment on my feet, and the nail cutting/cuticle trimming was very thorough and careful. It's not necessarily a fancy place nor do they have fancy or unique products: it's a standard mani/pedi place with very nice and meticulous people working there. I will definitely make it my #1 spot from now on. read more

Best price for Acrylic's. They don't have a lot of nail polish colors and don't do a lot of nail art. Make an appointment on the weekends but during the week day time walk ins are fine. There is only 3 people working and only 2 can do pedicures so this is not the best for groups. I always love my nails. I go every 3 weeks for my fills. I try to always make an appointment. read more

I should have known better than to frequent one of these dime a dozen nail places. But it was close, and they always did a decent job at making my toes shiny. (I am a runner so this is hard to do). Of course I had to endure Nuoc Nom going off on her fellow nail technician in her foreign tongue every time I went. She was probably going off about my jacked up toe nail and the fact that my ankle tattoo from the 7th grade IS SO not hip. I was willing to look past all of this because they had massager chairs and an altar with a buddha and fruit in the corner. Let's not forget the gaudy picture frames of hair styles from the 80's, hung neatly on the wall in the original cardboard they were shipped in. Once in a while they would try to upsell and insist that I needed a diamond sticker placed on my toe or air brushed finger nails. Once in a while they would insist that if I did a body wrap I would lose ten inches in 4 seconds! We had this thing going, Diamond nails and me and it was alright. Sadly, this all came to a screeching halt when a woman I had never seen before ripped out a chunk of my 10 year old son's hair while cutting it. She made him cry, did not even give me an explanation and when I confronted her politely she bitched me out in Vietnamese, accused me of not wanting to pay the measly $10 that I was refusing to pay and proceeded to try to get my son involved in the argument. MY TEN YEAR OLD SON! Never in my life have I wanted to knock someone out so badly! And this is coming from someone who's last fist fight was in the seventh grade! This dear reader, is where my relationship with Diamond Nails was put to rest. If you can tolerate a little Vietnamese smack talk while getting your toes caressed, by all means, be my guest. But please, for the love of all that is holy! Please do not take your children to this hag, you might end up knocking someone out! read more

Every single time I have gone anywhere else, I have been disappointed... I have been getting my nails done and pedicures from Diamond Nails ever since Jimmy and Kelly took over the shop several years ago. Kelly is by far my favorite, as she takes the time to get my nails just right. Sure, there are occasional flaws, but I have tried many other salons and nobody compares. I am actually quite picky about my nails. I have to agree with the review of the waxing services. There is nothing spectacular about this aspect of the business. Minus the 5th star for this and the little bit of sprucing up that would make the salon really shine. Some people have noted that Kelly seems to deliver inconsistent customer service. While that may be true, she is always-always polite. Even when her customers are downright rude to her (and yes, I've seen it), Kelly is calm and never says anything out of turn. If you want great service, be a great customer. read more

No one but Kelly touches my nails- period. I've been seeing her for about 5yrs and I have never had a nail fall off/crack/break due to anything other than my own fault...and even then I've been shocked at how bad it could have been but wasn't. ( I slammed my finger in a car door and fractures it but the nail did not even come off it just spider cracked but still stayed on my finger!) I've only ever had WONDERFUL experiences here. I got my first set of acrylics here from Jimmy, and they were beautiful, strong, and lasted FOREVER. I love to get regular manicures and pedicures here too. The scrub and paraffin wax are fantastic and make each experience relaxing and give me an opportunity to recharge. I love that the staff doesn't try to get customers to chat, and are very thorough with their work. For those who are saying the staff is unkind, I can't imagine what your talking about.
