"The food tastes amazing! Everything was fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great meal."

I saw Heidi R's review on the spokane foodie Facebook page and absolutely had to have some BBQ. Excellent customer service, however, my ribs did not look or taste good at all! I was really expecting something "decent", it's not hard to taste better than longhorn!. Maybe I made the mistake of coming on a weeknight? I'd say stick to the brisket and sides.

We were looking for decent barbecue this weekend and decided to try Dickey's since we heard the Spokane Valley location had new owners. They did not disappoint. Ray, the new owner, made us feel welcome right away. He's got the place looking so great inside. Games to play, nostalgia on the walls, plenty of seating, and self serve sauces and soda (The original sauce was my personal favorite). Ray is a super cool dude. An Italian guy with a heart for true southern fare. He knows what hes doing and it shows. The ribs were fall off the bone and the rub on them was finger licking good. We also ordered a half a pound of brisket and it was just as tasty. The meal included Texas toast grilled with butter, mashed potato casserole, and creamy mack and cheese all of which were big hits with my family. It was such a great experience that we're already planning our next visit. I know Ray has a big job ahead of him repairing the rep of this place, but you will not be disappointed if you stop by here to treat yourself to some BBQ. We had a ton of leftovers and Ray walked us out to our car himself carrying the drinks, because that's just the kind of guy he is. If you are in the area.... Or even not in the area it's definitely worth the drive to eat here! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!!

    Two-meat plate = yummy!

Friendly service combined with better food made for an excellent dinner tonight. We ordered the two-meat plate, which was served almost steaming hot. The baked beans and Texas toast were very good, but the cole slaw was the best that I have had in a very long time. The dining room and customer service areas were spotless. Thank you Spokane Valley Dickey's!

Such a disappointment. We spent $46.00 on lunch for 2 people. 2 meals, 2 sodas, & tip. I ordered the "burnt ends" plate. What should have been crisp, glazed and mouthwatering, was so dry that no amount of BBQ sauce made it moist enough to swallow. The coleslaw was made with, what seemed to be, only onion. It was so much onion it was inedible. The mac n cheese was good but cold. I ate the mac, the rest got trashed. A chainsaw would have had trouble chewing this stuff up. I kid you not. My boyfriend got an order of wings. They came dry- no sauce, served in a bag. When he dumped them out on the tray, it was laughable. They were tiny. These wings were so overcooked that they had shrunk to miniscule specks. As he pulled them open, they actually splintered. The waffle fries were soggy. The BBQ beans were cold but tasted ok. On to the free "ice cream". I don't know what this was. While dispensing it into the cones, watery liquid came out first. The frozen stuff eventually started coming out. It tasted alright but it was a weird translucent looking stuff. What is it?? Seriously. I have to say, the soft drinks were amazing. Sounds weird, I'm sure. But really, they have the awesome crushed ice, like the hospital has. I was happy about the ice. I thought we would end up in the hospital trying to swallow the dry, splintered meat. The ice would have been great there too. I don't know who owns these places but if I were the owner, I'd be horrified to learn that this terrible quality was coming from my store.

The brisket and sausage is very tasty, smoked to perfection the only thing is the sides are very small in portion to the amount of meat you get. Customer service was excellent and dining was very clean and to top it off the bathroom was also clean.

Employees just left all there good sitting out here.

The food was okay, the employees working didn't seem to care at all and were really rude. They were more worried about getting back to eating their own food which was just sitting out on the table. There were flies everywhere, completely disgusting. I would not recommend to anyone.

Love the pulled pork. The service was great too. The waffle fries had a bit of extra salt on them today, they were perfect.

OK but expensive food. Waiting time is way too long. The staff there are very nice and friendly. They have free ice cream.

Disgusting. Unsanitary. Flies all over the food. Awful service. The only thing decent about this place is the food. Never going back.

Our server was very busy, handling both the bar and restaurant areas. We all started with appetizers, which we shared. Fried green beans were good, kind of spendy. The onion rings were great and the tarter they came with was nice. The mozzarella sticks were good, the marinara was cold and chunky. For meals, two of us went with their Irish Stew, salad, and absolutely delicious cornbread. Our other friend tried their Burnt End sandwich. She said it was really good. What I really wanted was BBQ turkey, which is on their online menu but not on the menu in the restaurant. It was a good experience and we'll definitely give them another try in the future.

I wandered into McKracken's Irish Pub in Spokane Valley after a long day chewing cud and was greeted with the warmest "moo" of hospitality I've felt in ages. The owner clearly knows how to make everyone--two-legged or four-hooved--feel right at home. Let's start with the Guinness--cold, creamy, and poured with care. It's enough to make a bull tear up with joy (and that's saying something). The Irish stew? Hearty, rich, and packed with flavor. The cornbread is the real surprise--soft, slightly sweet, and perfect for soaking up the last bits of stew. Whoever's in that kitchen deserves a medal--or at least a salt lick of appreciation. They've got WiFi, so you can update your herd on your dining adventures, and the regulars add to that cozy, small-town pub vibe. Karaoke on Fridays is a real treat too--nothing like hearing a few pints in patrons belt out "Don't Stop Believin'" while I hum along in low, soulful moos. All in all, McKracken's is the kind of place that makes you want to settle in, loosen your bell, and stay awhile. Great food, cold beer, friendly faces--what more could a mad cow ask for? -- The Mad Cow Reviewer

Now, I have traveled a bit, so I have tried lots of different styles of grilling. I have also been fortunate enough to have had friends who know their way around a smoker. In short, I have a pretty experienced bbq pallette. Is Longhorn the best I have had? Well, no. BUT they are pretty good. I really love the decor at the Valley location. And all the employees are hardworking and friendly. One of the things I am most impressed with is the prices. Bbq is labor intensive, time consuming, just expensive to do in a commercial capacity, especially with the skyrocketing cost of food. Yet Longhorn's prices don't seem to reflect that. With the quality of food, variety, and the portion sizes, I would have expected to pay more. They also do a nice salad bar, and currently have all you can eat nights that are well stocked with all the good stuff. Last point. I consider myself a chili master, perfecting my recipe over a couple of decades. While my chili is still better, Longhorns is pretty damn good. So if you are in the Valley and want solid BBQ for a fair price, Longhorn won't steer you wrong.

Wifey and I didn't do the lunch buffet, but one son with us did---and let me tell ya, for $16.95 that is one heckuva good deal in 2025. He engorged 3 plates as you see in my pics. The smoked Ribeye Sam I had was generous with the protein, and tender as all get out. I hit it with creamy horseradish, rather than their BBQ sauce. Another good deal was the single-trip Salad Bar, which can be upgraded with a small sam, and choice of meat. Wifey loves her Smoked Turkey, so it wound up being a great lunch in her opinion. Many folks do not care for the Longhorns, but fair or not, we don't compare them with anyone else in the BBQ world (to include my back deck). They are who they are, and we're definitely on their team...
