This review is for return policy and staff. They say that you can return items as long as they are in sellable condition. Cool, I bought a wagon with that in mind. When i tried returning cashier and manager were rude and insulting. Beware they will try to reject return if even there is a lint on the product. Their return policy is a scam in my opinion. Its up to managers discretion. We eventually got it refunded but wasted alot of time and energy that didn't need to be wasted. 800 number does not help, the only thing they recommended is to drive to another store and try there. Had a good experience at this store on Labor Day weekend. The salespeople are young and energetic and like to talk about their sports. We had a young woman named Debbie, who plays rugby. She was not just a pleasure to deal with, she went out of her way to find us a 15% discount on a pair of Nike shoes. Just spent 30 minutes in the shoe section with my 8 year old trying to get soccer shoes. We used the iPad to request the shoes and tried on 2 pairs. They didn't fit and then we put in a request for a different pair and it was 10 minutes of radio silence. I put the request in again and still nothing for another 10 minutes. We put her shoes back on and then on the way out told someone up front that they need more people in the shoe section. She didn't seem to care at all and brushed us off. Never going back. read more

As I walked into the shoe section Ernesto immediately asked if I needed help, at first I didn't but then i decided I did so when he came back around i stopped and asked for help. He was a great help looking for a shoe that they had. He brought them out right away and pointed out some defect on the shoe and offered a discount. he did everything with a smile and eagerness. Found a golf club I liked online. Says it's in stock in northridge. I go in, stand for a good ten minutes in the golf section and not one employee even seems to notice or offer assistance. I go to the counter and say I am here to buy a club and need help. "Yea yea we'll send someone over" without even looking up. I wait another five and nothing. Ridiculous customer service. Finally I run down another employee who seemed to want nothing of my business and he says "haha we don't carry that club. Sorry bro." Screw this place. Never again. read more

This was my go to store for shoes but unfortunately I had a pair of $180 Nike Invincible 3 be defective after 5 weeks the sole seperated I went back to the store with receipt in hand and was told there is nothing they can do and to reach out to Nike directly. So your telling that they dont stand behind the products they sell? It was a defect not my fault. Manager told me that many people have come with same issue yet they continue to sell them? I will not ever shop at this store I incorrectly assumed that such a large retailer would at least provide 90 day warranty on what they sell. Part of the reason retailers are going out of business. I will take my business elsewhere that cares about repeat customers and doing the right thing. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ! In every department- registers, apparel and management. Employees take their sweet time "finding" sizes, as well as super slow at the registers. Multiple employees had to search multiple times for an extended amount of time for one item, which shows they are being lazy and not properly looking the first time. The manager stood there and watched people walk in and out of the store but didn't bother to hop on a register when his team was struggling, even when he saw an insanely long developing, and there were lines on BOTH ends of the store. Prices are great but service is terrible, do not rely on their staff to accommodate you, they are on their own timing. read more

I called to ask about restring my glove and happily, when I went in I got the same information. The only thing they left out was the cost of the string as well. They said anywhere from a week to two weeks and it was just a little over a week and I got a call saying my glove would be ready the next day after 9:00. Have been here twice, first time a couple months ago and then again today. First reason for the one star, is that the staff is not that friendly, (except for Alexis). The other reason is, the last time I came in early July the fitting rooms were open, but the bathrooms were closed. They claimed in early July the bathrooms were closed because of Covid. Today both the fitting rooms and the bathrooms were closed, this time they claimed because of Covid and because there's a mask mandate currently. Huh? That makes no sense at all... It's safer in the fitting rooms if people are wearing masks, then if they are not wearing masks while covid it is still an issue. The staff said it's no problem, I could just return whatever doesn't fit. Really? That actually is a problem for me Dicks, but of course it's not for you. Ive heard rumors that there may have been an incident or two of someone making a "bathroom" mess one time in a fitting room, and then also a mess one time in the bathroom. Now this sounds more like the reasons the fitting rooms and bathrooms are closed. I'm sorry Dicks, but for the prices that you charge, at least the fitting rooms should be open, and yes you may have to occasionally clean up a mess. I have learned that this is a store decision to keep fitting rooms closed, not a national storewide decision. so we won't be shopping here again, at least until the fitting rooms are open, and perhaps the staff is a bit friendlier. read more

Unfortunately, I did not have a very good experience at this store. I came for the grand opening of this store to check out the new location in the neighborhood. Many of the employees were not friendly and seemed to be in a rush. Later in the week I called exactly three times to see if there was a product in stock. Finally, I had to ask to speak to a manger to get their attention!!!! And to add the manager wasn't friendly as well. I don't think I'll be shopping at this location again. Take the trip to Glendale or Santa Clarita instead folks. Also those who want to take their pets. They don't allow any in the store. Came in looking to purchase a new set of Irons and a driver. Asked an employee at the golf section if I could hit some balls in the fitting center, the employee says go ahead and leaves. 10 mins later a girl comes in and tells me "I can't be there" the whole point of a fitting center is to test the club before you buy... not all clubs are created equal and not all clubs will play well for you. FITTING CENTER... I told her I was given the Ok by another employee that was on the golf section, and that I was ready to buy them. she didn't care. I wasn't going to put up a fight. I just got my things and left. I was going to purchase a stealth 2 driver and a set of calaway maverik irons. Instead I went to Roger Dunn and got a better experience and even got a putter. Came in to purchase 16" bike for my four year old granddaughter. They had none assembled, only in boxes. I was told they are not allowed to assemble bikes. I ask him to check other stores to see if they had some assembled and he did. Said there were four at Santa Clarita store--45 minutes away in rush hour traffic. We thanked him and went. When we got there, we discovered that they too were in boxes--evidently the Northridge guy never bothered to call them to see if they were assembled, which he knew was our #1 priority. However, the guy at Santa Clarita said they absolutely DO assemble bikes and offered to do it for us!! He was pissed off at Northridge guy, because if he would have called, they would have had the bike ready for us when we got there, instead of having to wait another half hour. I came here about with enough time before they closed so I wanna say about 6:30-6:45 and I was looking for some shoes for a job I had next day. I know it's a bit unusual going here for work shoes but I checked online and it said they had some and it was the closest place by me that was still open. So when I got here I waited about 30 to 45 mins for someone to come help me at the shoe section. Before that employees would just try so hard to avoid me and not make eye contact with me so they wouldn't need to help. So I went up to the register and asked for help and it still took a minute, by then it was like 7:30-7:45 so when I finally got help I felt pressured and rushed to leave because they wanted to close and leave. I would not recommend this store at all no matter what! Very very bad first time here and bad experience. They need to stop hiring people who don't care and who don't respect people and give attitude. Never coming again. read more

purchased a gt aggressor men 27" bike $700 with tax and another $80 for warranty ; 3 weeks later gears started slipping. called and was told to bring it in monday as tech was working tuesday 9-2. when we got there mgr said no tech, looking to hire new tech. after informing him i had someone check schedule and tech was scheduled for tuesday morning he checked in our new bike. tried not to give us copy of receipt but we insisted. was told to give them 4 or 5 days to fix. called friday mgr said it would be ready after 2. but it wasn't, said they would call, but they didn't. wish id checked reviews before spending so much money. won't ever shop there again read more

I am a new golfer and was looking to buy a whole new set of clubs and everything (big purchase $$$). When I got there the golf section (like a quarter of their store) was empty. No associate. Once I hunted someone down I was told that no one was really around who knew much about the golf equipment. In fact the guy helping me, looked exhausted and told me how tired he was. Finally someone who could fit me for clubs was found but then told me to come back tomorrow, somehow he was off in 2 hours and said he had no time to help me. Seems like no one knew much about anything. I didn't like that I was expected to be cool about just coming back another day. I was honest and said I didn't appreciate the treatment.
