Overall good experience. We were seated promptly and the server was kind. The pork osso bucco, which I got because of the many positive reviews on Yelp, was indeed good, but not stellar. The meat was super tender, it fell off the bone, but the dark sauce was a bit too overpowering to me. Very good nonetheless. The steak fajitas were very good, the steak itself was just ok, but the overall experience was very good. The flan was just ok, but I realize that South American style flan might be a bit different to what I'm used to, which is Japanese style purin or European style crème caramel. This flan was denser and more thoroughly cooked than the flan I'm used to. I finished it all anyway, so it was not bad :) overall great experience and definitely a place to hit when you're traveling in this area. read more

The food was delicious. Especially the chicken enchilada and the beef chimichanga. It was busy and a known popular restaurant. There certainly an eclectic mix of people dining. It may have been a particularly busy night yet the staff were very attentive, and absolutely lovely. That being said, as an artist myself, the artwork was terrible and needs to be remedied. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant when looking for authentic Mexican cuisine in Redmond! read more

I must have missed the "price warning" sign that hung as you walk in, so, yes, I was a little surprised by the prices considering Redmond is a smaller town with lots of competing Mexican restaurants. However, the food and service was good - so I can't complain. I ordered the seafood soup and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of actual seafood that was in it. Two large fillets of cod, a few large scallops, fresh meaty shrimp, etc. My only wish was that the server and the menu more clearly understand what is gluten free. My husband is a celiac and usually an upscale seafood and steak serving type of establishment will have some some to eat dishes (yes, we understand that the kitchen isn't dedicated... but it's usually not to hard to clean space on the grill for some simple veggies and a protein). My husband skipped ordering bc our server had to check with the kitchen which meals were GF... only to offer some fish tacos that were obviously served after the rest of our meal. On the flip side, the chips and salsa didn't make him sick. read more

Wow. So good. Checked out Yelp to find a Mexican restaurant for dinner and we were not disappointed! Lots of classic Mexican choices but also some unexpected pasta and comfort food options. Husband and I picked burritos and the girls got a chimichanga and cheeseburger (my youngest isn't a fan of Mexican food). Everything was great! You know what? They were OPEN! AND I WAS STARVING! THE FOOD WAS Great! my youngest had the kids Mac and cheese, my eldest had the chicken nachos, my friend had some sandwich and he said it was really good, I ordered a carne asada burrito, I didn't like the green sauce(it was a lil tart for me), but please believe a fat girl would eat it again because it was pretty good over all. We drove all around Redmond subway was closed, Taco bell closed, the Chinese restaurant down the road was closed.... The staff was polite and positive. The only thing they almost lost a star for was... They played the GOOD music in the kitchen and some wack jams through out the restaurant. Spendy. But your warned about prices as soon as you walk in, there is a sign that's says "Price Warning" I was hangry and left happy. I recommend this place. read more

An "in town" version of Madeline's, the vibe is more personal and intimate. Service and food are always amazing and the quality is worth it. The outdoor patio is nice but I with it could have a better view. All in all it's a great place read more

This place was highly recommended by the resort we're staying at, and sounded very interesting, so gave them a shot, and had a very pleasant evening here- the food was great! Service was great! My only complaint and I know nothing they can really do about it is parking can be sparse. I went with the Flat Iron Stea, Pilsner Beer for drink and for dessert Blueberry Cheesecake. Wife went with the Veggie Burrito. The food was outstanding, and I would highly recommend this place! read more

My job used to take me into the area once a year for a couple days and when we happened upon this place it became a favorite. I've been looking forward to tonight for a long while. Everything I've sampled here, I've enjoyed, but I gotta say my favorite is the chicken fried steak and that amazing jalapeño chorizo gravy! I highly recommend it. The vegetables accompanying we cooked perfectly and I couldn't get enough of the salsa that is served with the chips while you wait. read more

I read all the reviews of this place and had to try it. I sat outside and the temperature was about 47 degrees but with the heaters and being covered with plastic clear tarp it was comfortable. I asked the waiter for a recommendation and he gave me about 8. I went with the Seafood Penne Pasta with Alfredo sauce. Presentation was great and it tasted good. My only complaint would be the sauce had far too much butter. If the sauce had 50% less butter it would have been great. I can say there was plenty of seafood in the dish (shrimp, crab, halibut, and lobster). On a side note the chips were warm and slightly on the thicker side and the salsa had just the right amount of heat. If I could give a 4.5, that is my true rating. read more

Such a unique twist to Mexican food! Had the shrimp and spinach enchiladas with amazing green sauce and rice and beans. Also tried Osso Bucco and it has been years since we ate such a dish- melted in our mouths! Not dry at all and the sauce and mashed potatoes was a great compliment to the meat. Service was fast and very friendly. Sat outside and loved the atmosphere. What a treat! Too bad we live so far away. Hope to visit in the near future! read more

AMAZING! This is now our favorite restaurant in Central Oregon. The Carne Asada was easily the best I have ever had as was the refried beans. The Ceviche was also the best I had ever had and even better than my own. They add avacados to it and it really adds a great flavor and the shrimp is seasoned just right in it. Service was first class and establishment was clean and friendly. This is a must-go-to when in the area. read more

Decent place downtown Redmond for dinner. They have a huge menu selection. The place was packed on a Saturday night so it's best to go early. They have a few tables outside that are available on a first-come first-served basis. Enjoyed a house salad, grilled salmon and their signature margarita. read more

We stop at Diego's every time we pass through Redmond to get the Bend and SunRiver. The service, food and drinks are great. We have never had a bad experience at Diego's. On this visit we had the beef and chicken fajitas. They hit the spot! Not overly seasoned and tender quality meat. The refried black beans the come with it are fantastic! Pico has a slight lime note and is very good. Will definitely continue to return. read more

This restaurant is one of the best I've been to. Authentic food, amazing service, great location in old town. We started with a Lava Flow drink and then ordered guacamoles fresco. They make the guacamole in front of you and to your liking. Everything was amazing and we just wish we had bigger stomachs to enjoy all the deliciousness. Not sure how this store has a high rating. They have good service, but the food was disappointing. I asked for the waiter for their best dish and was told to try their shrimp ceviche. I love a good ceviche. They started with chips and salsa. The chips were bland and the salsa overly salted (guess they balance each other out), but the ceviche was beyond hope. Portion size was very small for its price point, and the shrimp was distasteful. It tasted like frozen shrimp that was rinsed and put on the plate. The highlight of the dish were the 4 skinny strips of avocado. read more

The last time we were here for vacation we were looking for places to eat and saw a picture of their pork osso bucco. We decided to come and try it and loved it! Tonight was our second time coming to get it since we are finally back in the area and its still so good! We also really like their salsa. The servers are always so nice too. Just a little bit expensive than we expected but we will definitely come back for their pork osso bucco and hopefully try some other options on their menu as the other dishes sound great as well! read more

This is the place for excellent Mexican food. The food is not your average Mexican fare. The portions are plentiful in a nicely casual atmosphere. The staff is professional and courteous. Great location in downtown Redmond. I recommend you also try Madeline's (same family) for a more casual family dining experience with huge delicious portions. read more

So so freaking good! This place rocks! I was skeptical given the variety on the menu but they nail it! Great wine options, great margaritas. Truly great food, expansive menu, excellent cocktails, super friendly and professional service. Have eaten here uncountable times in the past several years and have NEVER been disappointed. However, this is not my go-to for Mexican food because I prefer refried beans (they only serve black beans) and Spanish rice (they serve green rice). I wait and go to Madaline's. For Mex. My steak was PERFECTLY cooked to med rare and seasoned. And i'll mention, they dont put any salt/pepper on the table here, and they dont need to :) Service was on the ball, kind respectful and informative. The ambiance is very, well, TERRA. Lol. Look up on the wall, terracotta pots, lol. For excellent gourmet food, much of it vegan and glutenfree, prices were super reasonable. I'll come back here pronto next time I'm in town.

Then to add to the insult, our waitress didn't come back to the table to ask if we needed anything, let alone refills on our drinks.She couldn't even to bring the bill at the end, she saw me go to the register and everything, and only by chance was my wife able to wave her down. In the end the staff was without remorse for the worst service I've ever had in Redmond, let alone the entire state of Oregon. Bad food, bad service but apparently most people don't notice it because they offer a complete Bar selection from the time they open until closing so that might bring light to the comments on great this place is ... impaired eaters :P

Using your position in the kitchen to completely skip the line and delay paying customers who ordered ahead of time just isn't right. Today I met two really good guys (Jeff & Dave) golfing on the Eagle Crest Resort Course. They recommended Diego's Spirited Kitchen in Old Downtown Redmond as a really good place to eat. So as soon as I was off the golf course at 7pm the wife and I headed to Diego's. This place was fantastic, all the employee's had smiles on their faces and greeted you warmly. We were seated within 1min of arriving and the place was packed. The $7 margarita's were great for starters. My wife had the $25 Surf and Turf which is a 8oz Ranch Steak with three good size prawns, baked potato and vegetable medley. I had the $5 Field Green Salad & $25, 16oz RibEye Steak with baked potato and vegetable medley. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our waiter, busboy and manager gave us just great service. I have eaten here to many times to count and can not actually come up with anything negative to say. My fav.... The Chicken Fried Steak smothered in Chorizo Gravy. Yes, Chorizo Gravy... Met Miguel for the first time tonight, it won't be the last time. This is NOT your 'normal' mexican fare. We were fortunate our first visit was on Cinco de Mayo, although I'm sure the service and food are as good any other time. It was busy, it was packed and yet Miguel gave attention to a couple of 'old timers'. Service, superb, food excellent, we had a little taste of appetizers, margarita's, excellent dinner, and dessert. Diego's is easily one of the best dining options in Redmond. Their menu has a little something for everyone (including a good selection of vegetarian options) - everything from Mexican/South American dishes to plenty of traditional American options. The food and service at Diego's is consistently good, which is a quality that is surprisingly difficult to find in Redmond. On a recent visit, I had the Chipotle Chicken Pasta and enjoyed it very much. Their outside seating area is a nice spot to enjoy a few drinks and visit with friends. read more

The BEST Mexican Food in Redmond by far! It's kind of weird that Deigos and Madaline's is owned by the same family and they have such differences in quality of food. I can really compare the two for having drastically different nachos between the locations. Madaline's nachos consist of chips with greasy cheese microwaved on them. Diegos hits you with this delicious concoction of chicken, black beans, cheese properly melted, delicious guacamole, etc. So Diegos - 100%! read more

After reading all the reviews, we HAD to try this one! No disappointed diners at our table! We got there early (5:30) for dinner, and still had to sit by the back door, between the bathrooms and the wait station! But service was great in spite of the location and the food was as terrific! Diegos was great! We made it in before this crazy shut down and was able to enjoy a great sit down meal. What I like about Diegos is the atmosphere! The food is always great, not a cheap meal but a great meal! I recommend the burritos and shrimp quesadilla... Enjoy. I mean good for them with the great ratings....but the food to me is nothing special and neither are the drinks, and yet they are quite pricey. I have a GI condition where I am not able to eat regular onions, but am allowed green onions. I am also not able to have cabbage, but am allowed avocado. Fortunately, my husband was able to eat that portion of the meal. I'm disappointed that the restaurant did not provide the item that we specifically ordered off their menu because it appeared to accommodate my dietary restrictions. If they changed the ingredients in a menu item or increased their prices, they should have updated their online menu.
