First time ordering, driver made simple mistake I called business less than 5 secs the driver got in car and they're giving me a credit instead of having driver turn around to give me right bag. This is another terrible place, right across the street from the terrible Burger King actually (see review for that!) I got a pizza and once I opened the box it looked like someone poured 10W-30 motor oil all over the pizza for how greasy it was. The pizza was so greasy that it was actually leaking through the box. After taking yet another chance with Dileo's at another time not ordering the pizza and going with their beef sandwich, sounded like a good idea but the beef sandwich tasted like someone sprayed Windex on the beef!! Sorry Dileo's you blew it. If anyone orders a pizza there they are better off eating the box instead. read more

I really like their salads, it has everything on it, artichoke hearts, hearts of palm, olives, tomatoes, etc. It has been a long time since I've had a salad like that! Their pizzas are good too, the coupons are great. 9.99 for a large. you can't beat it! But my favorite is their special pizza bread the Anna Marie, lots of garlic puffy crust, tomatoes and cheese, yum! I did have a problem with my credit card too, like another reviewer, it said the charge was over the amount, but when I went in, the owner spoke to me and said that the transaction company withholds a percentage and it should be gone once it goes through, she even showed me her final receipt from the day of purchase which showed the right amount!!! She was very helpful and offered to call the company for me too if there was a problem. Sure enough, about 2 days later, the additional charge was gone and I was only charged the amount I purchased. Their good food, amazing salads and that pizza bread are great. But I was exceptionally pleased with the service I received when I had an issue. I've had their chili with onions and chees - yummy The eggplant parmesan is delicious and served with a side of pasta, both ended up being several meals for me due to the generous portions. I had my catering order last weekend.. a friend of mine reccomended this restaurant to me. Let me tell you..catering is beyond words. Such big portions! When I made my catering order I was being kind of difficult and was requesting specific items that weren't even on th menu. Plus I'd never tried their food before. so I wanted more info on everything. The girl on the phone was so nice and helpful. And im not just saying that. She was like "no problem even though it's not on the catering menu we can do it for you!" they even came and set everything up for me which was really nice. I didn't have too worry about anything. I didn't find a separate listing for DiLeo's catering so I'll post this here. We used DiLeo's to cater my daughter's wedding of 220 people. The food was great, cedar planked salmon, beef filet, chicken Marsala plus all the sides.The owner, Teri DiLeo was wonderful. She really acted as a wedding coordinator. She coordinated everything with the venue, the florist, the liquor delivery, the band, the bakery. The staff she provided was excellent. She gave us many good suggestions regarding linen colors and lighting and added many decorative touches. The price was very competitive compared to the other caterers we investigated especially since there was not a required liquor package. I can't say enough about how pleased we were. read more

Ordered delivery of sandwiches, salads and appetizers for lunch. The sandwiches and appetizers were fine. The salad showed up with bad meat and old artichoke and cheese on it. When I called, I was told that Genoa salami has a different taste to it. I told them I've had Genoa Salami before and it neither looked, nor smelled like this. They offered to make a new one and send it out. I declined and they apologized and said they'd remove it from my bill. Once bitten, twice shy. Wouldn't chance it again. read more

First off, I've ordered food from here multiple times. It's a good amount of food for the price, especially if you order some of their family packages. My complaint is of the service from the restaurant. I recently ordered a family meal, to have my meal ruined by having to contact my credit card company while everyone else ate. The person that took my order didn't charge us for the additional delivery charge to Wood Dale. Something that they have never charged me before and absolute ridiculous in my opinion. Elmhurst is a block away from me. So they canceled the order and then recharged me without any notice or authorization from me. I contacted the restaurant and talked with the female owner who was supposed to give me a call back, which she never did. Poor customer service and no care in the world for answering my questions. I was a long time customer that will not be ordering from them again. Especially when my night involves talking with my credit card company about fraud instead of enjoying my meal. read more

I really hate to write this review because I've been ordering from DiLeo's for years. My late husband loved their broasted chicken and potatoes. Today I had a taste for ravioli and checked out the menus of two other nearby Italian restaurants. DiLeo's lured me in with garlic bread. I ordered cheese ravioli with marinara sauce. It was unlike any sauce I've ever had, almost like a weird salsa/paste - very chunky, very thick, very dry. It made the whole dish dry. I forced myself to eat about half,but couldn't go any further. The garlic bread that lured me in? That was also dry and was tossed. As someone else said, something is going on at DiLeo's. I hope for their sake they can correct it. read more

This place is seriously the bomb! Ive never had the pizza I always get their pasta and lasagna. Let me tell you everything is so fresh and good! I love the fact that the meals come with an AMAZING salad with all kinds of goodies in it - really that should be their claim to fame-di leos keep doing what your doing and dont get stingy with your salad yummies because that's what keeps me such a huge fan! Anyway, love their pasta and lasagna LOVE how they put fresh tomatoes on the lasagna it all tastes like it was actually made to order..not some left overs sitting in the kitchen all day. Although I should have been offered a refund from the start, the fact that they decided to rectify their poor review showed me they care about their business and brand. Thank you Jerry.*** I ordered a chopped chicken salad. I was not aware that it came with blue cheese on it. Despite that oversight, it was covered in bits of burnt bacon. I called the restaurant and they got the manager on the phone. She asked me to keep the salad this time because its their number one salad and its the best because she makes it. She also stated that she was sorry I didn't like it but that I should give it a try. I'm so tired, I didn't feel like arguing. No resolution to me not having lunch was made other than a half attempt of "if I come back to your area I'll bring you another salad". SMH read more

I have been ordering from here for a while now and there service has just gone down hill. My delivery order took over 1 1/2 HOUR when I called I was told it was leaving now and they should be arriving any minute. 15 minutes later no food I called back and asked to speak to a manager and was told the driver was pulled over and they had to make the food over. When the food did get her the pizza was ICE COLD, the cheese was like rubber, and the fires were SOGGY! When i called back to talk to the manager I was told there was nothing they could do about it. The manager was rude and clearly could careless about my business. I will not be ordering from here again. read more

I love this place. Delio's really has no equal within many miles when it comes to consistently good food that's plentiful reasonably priced and it's obvious that somebody cares about quality of what is going out the door. The pizza is the best of the area in my opinion. They pile on all the ingredients on their Supreme pizza. They load on the cheese they put huge chunks of sausage and pepperoni they even use three colors of peppers onions mushrooms and Seasonings it is simply a circus in your mouth. Most pizza places don't pile on the cheese like they do. Their beef sandwiches fantastic I think it is one of the only places are around that can rival Portillo's. They pile up the peppers the seasoning is great and the bread compresses so nicely zorbing all that beef juice. Their jumbo dogs are huge and flavorful even the condiments they put on the dogs are fresh. You can't beat the express meal price including cold can of pop with two huge dogs. I also am crazy about their shrimp. They use huge jumbo shrimp in there pasta and broccoli dish that are cooked perfectly that you have to take two to three bites to eat and they squeak a little when you eat them because they're nicely cooked not overcook like a lot of places. I guess you could say that they are plump. I tried their breaded shrimp by the pound and was blown away by that as well. This place uses very lite breading so as not to overpower shrimp and they still use the jumbo shrimp which is reasonably priced as well. Their consistency is good and it is very filling. I also enjoy something as simple as chicken tenders. They are very very moist with light breading and tender juicy meat that has not been overcooked either. That is a meal unto itself. One more thing I want to mention is their broasted chicken. I just tried it for the first time about a month ago and I was amazed at how crunchy and juicy the chicken was. The skin was nice and delicate but very crunchy and the chicken meat was absolutely delicious even the breast meat which I usually find at most places to be dry and you gotta choke it down with a Coca Cola. Not here every piece was a pleasure to eat. I wasn't a big fan of the tacos that I tried so I never ordered them but it might have just been an off night. All I can say is try Dileos. You can't go wrong. This place has been open for over 25 years and that says something about their ability to please people with food. If you have a sweet tooth you simply have to try their homemade chocolate cake and brownies. One of the owners, Frank does most of the baking and he sure knows what he's doing. He also makes homemade soups that are out of this world. They even make lobster bisque lentil soup split pea soup chicken soup beef barley soup the list goes on.
