Ma Po Tofu and steamed dumplings

Hello! Is this place actually permanently closed? I came in October 2025 with my boyfriend and we wanted to visit again this October because we really loved the food especially the ma po tofu! The lady in the front was so nice and surprised that we ordered it saying it wasn't common for people to order it. She even gave us a dessert! We were searching on maps and were confused that it was changed to a ono Hawaiian and we were genuinely upset that they were no longer there. I'm hoping they just moved areas. If anyone knows please let me know!!

was craving for some popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken at mayflower dumplings express are solid!! The popcorn chicken is juicy, not too much breading, I love the panko breading that gives it a good crunch. tasted really good with the sweet chill sauce. The portion size was good as well,l. Definitely will come back for it, I phone order and it was ready in 10 minutes.

Great service, the lady helping us was very patient with our large order, great appreciated. The seating area comfortable with party of 8 and the restroom was clean and tidy. The food we shared: Pork Xiao Long Bao(8), has peanuts, Chow Mein (shrimp and chicken), House Steamed Dumpling(8), Vegetable Steamed Dumpling(8), Fried Cheese Wonton, and the garlic eggplant stir fry. Everything was delicious, would recommend any of the dishes we tried, especially liked the garlic eggplant stir fry soooo flavorful!!

Small restaurant. Menu is pretty good. We ordered the Mongolian beef, shrimp fried rice, pork dumplings, cucumber salad, and the beef noodle soup. Food was quick and delicious. Prices are reasonable. The staff was really nice and the service was great.

Came here Sunday afternoon for lunch and it wasn't to packed till we started ordering the line went out the door! It went by fast and the food came out not too long after ordering. The only thing that took long was our drinks but there is just one girl in the front taking orders and making the drinks so it wasn't her fault. Still everything we got was so good and the drinks were yummy not too sweet! There's a limited amount of seating inside. You can't sit till you order food. I really like it and will come back !

Food was good and the prices made it a lot better. Very affordable. Service was quick. Ambiance was nice. Didn't expect the food to be as good as it was because the prices were so good. 5 stars chicken wonton soup. Wontons were above average in size, and they had lots of flavor. Good soup 5 stars spicy chicken wontons. Just like the soup the wontons were good. Spice level seemed like medium. This was good. 5 stars braised beef noodle soup. Beef had a lot of flavor, was tender, and overall good. Noodles were nice. Broth was good.

I truly don't know where to start! My girlfriend and I discovered this place not too long ago and we have been coming here ever since! The service is 1000/10, the lady that is always at the front is super sweet! The inside is really nice and super clean as well! The food is amazing and sooo fresh every time we eat here or take to go. We always get the fried rice and the chicken wontons w/ spicy sauce! They even give like a mango jello at the end and it's so refreshing to eat right after! We recommend this place to everyone!! Definitely come here if you want a better price point for the same food that you can get at the other place

What a great place. Enjoyed a delicious order of Chicken Fried Rice and Spicy Chicken Dumplings that were cooked to perfection. I was also given a small container of Mango Pudding for dessert which was delicious as well

I phoned in my order. I still rather speak with a real person. My order was ready and packaged ready in 15 min. Great service The braised beef noodles & soup were packed deconstructed for easy assembly. Included the chili oil for the heat spicy i asked for The wontons and soup were also packed separately. Everything was served at home hot, tasty delicious and not over done. More than enough for 2 Senior Citizens for late afternoon lunch

OK, to start coming inside as a first timer was very awkward and kind of confusing. When we walked inside, there were people sitting down and we saw food getting brought to them. The worker did not acknowledge us and we stood there, trying to figure out do we have a seat and they come to us? Do we wait and have them tell us where to sit or do we order out front? It wasn't until I approached the worker and asked that we were finally given an answer of you order upfront and have a seat anywhere. The restaurant was very clean and mostly quiet with faint sound of the TV in the background playing a war movie. To start off with the three things that we love the most was the walnut shrimp, the cucumber salad, and garlic broccoli. The walnut shrimp just might be the best one I've ever had. The shrimp pieces itself were huge! The coating they use on it, was very crispy despite being covered in the sauce. It came with a little bit of cabbage underneath it, which was a nice little touch. It alone would make me go back. The cucumber salad, had such a good flavor with a nice twist of some sort of chili pepper! It wasn't overbearing the spice level, but if you had a couple back-to-back, the heat was lovely building up!! This is my first time ever having some sort of salad like that and definitely changed the game for me. The next one was just mainly a health choice; the broccoli, and we always love it when someone does a basic right! The broccoli was nice and tender with a little bit of a crunch and had a lot of garlic on it so it tasted amazing. Very happy there. Moving on to the soup dumplings themselves the main reason why we went. We were very disappointing with them. Majority of them did not have any sort of liquid in them. We were grabbing them very gently to make sure they weren't ripping, looking at them to confirm no rips then taking a bite to see how much liquid were in them and a lot of them were bone dry. The flavor of the dumpling itself was very good; packed with a lot of meat, but no soup. Moving onto the beef onion dumplings that were pan fried. They were delicious, no complaint from us here; we were still satisfied with them. Looking aside the confusion at the start of the experience if the soup dumplings actually had soup this place would've been 100% gotten five stars. Everything else we experience was very pleasurable. It met our standards however that element itself is something we cannot look past, combine with the start is a reason why we gave it four stars instead of five. Something to know is that you are required to clean up after yourself so make sure you bring up your plates! We will be returning, however, we know what to order now!

Savory, delicious XLB plus braised beef noodle, custard bun! I love how good everything tasted. The staff were very nice and attentive. Ambiance is casual and comfortable, perfect for lunch. Highly recommended!

Been meaning to try this place out for a while. Place was small but well maintained. The parking is in the back. I wish I would have gotten the ladies name that helped us out , she was super sweet and helpful. We were offered some mango jelly to try, so yummy ! We loved everything! The bulgogi deep fried dumplings are a must! The soup dumplings were okay not the greatest but not bad either . They were a little on the dry side . Love that they offer ginger , vinegar and soy sauce without you asking . Will definitely come back

I come here when I am craving dumplings and milk tea. Good food and quick service. I can taste the quality. I always take it out so I've never really been inside except to pick up my food, it's cute but small.

Turns out, it wasn't nearly as crowded as before - though spoiler: the price has increased a lot (I want to say it was $25/lb 10 years ago, and now is $37/lb). Keep in mind too, you can't get a small amount like 1lb - usually it's gonna be 3+lb so your bill is easily going to hit mid-$100 to $200s from the lobster alone. That being said, many people swear this is the best, and that's why they can charge whatever they want. I'm actually allergic to lobster (lol) but am a team player so I just sampled it for the funsies, and had to get another dish to actually eat (went with the beef lok luk). My family said the lobster noodle was good, but not like, fantastic (which we were expecting not fantastic but yeah, mostly came here to a family meeting.) The beef lok luk was also pretty good like, 4.3 of 5 - we just had another version at Paradise which was astounding (like 4.6) though also more expensive and pretty far away. Overall, not sure if we'll come back again as we're more curious about the copycats that have popped up which might be 80% as good and much more affordable. Stay tuned! :)

This helped us get a table much faster than we would have than if we had just shown up and waited. We ordered the large family meal, and there were 12 of us. We also ordered the Newport Lobster, fish fillet with black bean sauce, and an extra shrimp fried rice. Overall, I think the food was good, and the prices are reasonable (except the lobster, which was pricey, as you might expect from anything listed as "market price"). Most of us in the group thought the fish fillet with black bean sauce was the best. I thought it was very good, but not necessarily fantastic. (There are other Chinese restaurants that do it a little better.) The sauce was very good, but the fish wasn't quite as tender as it can be. Definitely a solid 4 stars. Other dishes were good. I think the scallop soup could have been great for some people, but my wife and I both hate cilantro, and there was a ton of cilantro. The pork was also good, and my friends thought the clams were also really good. I found the fried rice a bit bland. And for both the lobster and the crab, they could have made them a little easier to eat by cracking the shells a bit more for us. I hate fighting with my food ... And there was a fair amount of fighting on these 2 dishes. The lobster cost almost much as all the other dishes combined. It certainly looked amazing. And the sauce was very good. But I found most of it a bit overcooked. Maybe it was our fault for asking for a big one. Maybe a smaller lobster might have been cooked a little less. The great sauce (along with the fighting with the shell) might have covered up the fact that the meat was actually a bit tough and rubbery. I don't think I'd order this again. The service was very friendly and pretty fast. And, again, other than the lobster, the pieces were pretty reasonable.

At first I thought it was a Vietnamese restaurant, but it turned out to be more of an Asian fusion place with a little bit of everything. It was super busy, so we had to wait a bit for a table. But the wontons, shu mai, garlic noodles, and fried chicken baos were all really tasty. Overall the food was pretty solid and service was great, too. One of the draws of eating here are the colorful lit lanterns in the evening. However, we ended dining here in the late afternoon while it was still light out. The inside of the restaurant was pretty much empty and it was a nice day, so we dined out on the patio. Even in the daytime, the colorful lanterns are cool to look at and there is a park area right next to the restaurant. The patio is wide open and completely in the shade. This was a late lunch/early dinner for us, so we just ordered a few different items off the menu to share. Their small sushi menu only has four different rolls and they were out of two of them, so we just had a California roll which was fine. The only sushi protein available is shrimp or krab so I definitely wouldn't recommend them for sushi. We also had an order of the chicken egg rolls. They had a good crisp on them, and the serving size was generous and very filling. The sweet chili dipping sauce had a good mix of sweetness with a little heat. They tasted fine, but it seemed like they were pre-made and lacked a little freshness. Finally, we tried an order of the spicy shrimp wontons off the dim sum menu. It comes with ten wontons, and the shrimp were good but the wontons were a little mushy. They had a nice heat that slowly creeps up on you after a few seconds. Service started out ok as we were able to place our order within ten minutes, but it then got progressively slower. I think there were only two other occupied tables and our three items took almost 25 minutes to come out. After the food arrived, we didn't see a server again for quite a while. Final rating 3.6 stars. These are the times I wish Yelp let you use half points because this experience was right in between 3 and 4 stars. I guess I'll round up to four stars for the relaxing patio and ambiance which is probably even better after dark.
