We finally found a cop in downtown and asked him. He said everyone usually went to Donna's and it was good. I've driven by Donna's many times but never had occasion to stop for a meal. Our server was friendly and our tableware was clean. Place was pretty empty but two tables seated after us still got their food long before we got ours. The wait for our meals seemed excessive and our food was ho-hum. The omelets weren't very large and the hashbrowns were very dry. Toast was dark and dry as requested. The coffee, was, as my partner said, more "brown water" than coffee. I left hungry and we ended up at McDonald's where I had two cheeseburgers and a large coffee. Our meals came to just over $26 for two omelets with toast; one order of hashbrowns; and two coffees.

The hamburger and pancakes ordered by others get similar reviews. It was a hamburger and tasted like one. The pancakes, being hard to screw up, were just pancakes. This is a cash-only place, so come prepared to be vilified for wanting to pay with plastic. The prices were lower than the norm but that did little to make me feel better upon leaving. Despite the dearth of customers when we were there, the service was also lacking. I had to seek out help to get a refill on my iced tea and we waited a while to pay...with cash. I can't really give this place any additional stars. Stop here if you absolutely can't wait to eat.
