There is a reason this diner is ALWAYS crowded. Good selection, consistent, nice service and priced accordingly.

Stopped in after a blood test and was blown away by the place. It's similar to a New Jersey diner, except for a few things. People were nice. There was no picture of Tony Danza (or a beauty pageant winner of some sort) hugging the owner taped up on the wall by the cash register. Also, there was no crabby attitude or blank stares from the people that work there. So that was a bit of a curve ball. Feeling pangs for my beloved Midwest, I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits plus some bacon. It was outstanding. It wasn't like you'd get in Indiana or Kansas City. It was something a little different but great all the same. The place had a bar in it where you could eat, booths and tables as well. The people appear genuinely glad to see you when you walk in. The service was great. Truly great. Lovely people who are both competent and helpful. Food that is made well. And a very clean place. I will be going back for breakfast soon. 248 is one of the better diners I've been too. There is plenty of parking, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and they have their liquor license so you can enjoy a beer or cocktail with your meal. As far as appetizers go I would recommend the pierogies or chicken wings. The pierogies are sautéed with butter and smothered with onions and the wings are meaty and have several tasty sauces to choose from. For dinner, I've only ever tried the Lonestar Chicken (chicken breast topped with BBQ, bacon, and cheddar jack cheese. Served with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli). The chicken was tender, the bacon was crisp, the mashed potatoes were creamy and full of flavor, and the broccoli just about melted in my mouth. Just fantastic! Was in the area and found this on Yelp. Place was packed at about 1:30pm on a Monday. There was a wait to get seated so I sat at the bar. Bartender was very efficient and proactive refilling my coffee when needed. All of the waitstaff seemed friendly and efficient I had the holiday turkey dinner served with mashed potatoes and white corn nibblets and gravy. There was a warm cranberry compote on the side. Unfortunately the meal did not have a lot of flavor. Wasn't bad but just needed a lot of salt and pepper. Coffee was fresh. Other items looked good so might have just been my choice. Based on cleanliness, friendliness of staff etc I would give them another shot the next time I am in the area. read more

Never disappointed! Great food, great service. We sit at the bar area to eat when there is a long wait.

Management at Diner 248 has decided to go against CDC recommendations and requires every employee to wear gloves rather than wash hands and use sanitizer. The person who sat us touched the wrapped silverware with the same hand she used to open a drawer to get it and to open the doors to let us into the restaurant. They are wrapped in the napkin customers are supposed to use to wipe their mouth. I watched as the same girl constantly touched her mask and hair then seat people. She even helped set up tents between seatings. The young lady behind the bar touch her hair, face, mask, credit cards, people's food and drinks and never once changed gloves. I requested that the server remove the gloves and just wash her hands when handling our food but my request was ignored. We used to love Diner 248 but they need to do better during this time. read more

Very friendly. Soon as I came in they greeted me welcome me. There a lot of young staff there. Which is good for the energy and so-so for the service and interesting to see. The food was very good. The service was quick efficient and friendly. The menu choices was diverse. The wait staff came over constantly to ask if I needed anything and when my waitress left at the end of her shift she said not to worry about the gratuity because the new waitress would get that and that she would get hers when he's hurt her karma dictates what happens. So I thought that was interesting but very nice. Again. They are definitely large enough to accept groups the definitely modern and clean. It's a good value priced appropriately for the area and for the new diners. It's not a discount bargain like the old fashioned diners but that is not what you have here. You have a new Modern Diner. Nice interior clean interior refreshing modern and definitely a good place to eat. Would I recommend this Diner? Definitely would I eat here again yes definitely do I think this is a good spot and a good place to eat? Definitely. Did I enjoy my late lunch? Definitely. Good spot for breakfast. Service was fast. We rode our motorcycle and stop by here for brunch.

We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Easton this weekend and we were lucky enough to find Diner 248. We called for carryout, and the food was AMAZING !! The burgers were perfection, and we also ordered the Chicken Apple Brie. The kids are picky mac and cheese eaters, and that was also perfect. The children's portions were huge. The restaurant had to close for a day, and we delayed our departure so we could do one mor carry out!! The place is seriously packed and obviously popular. I would HIGHLY rec ommend this restaurant to anyone wanting quality food and friendly service!!! read more

Been to Diner248 a few times for lunch and dinner service, and once for breakfast. We hadn't been back to breakfast for quite awhile since the first time. We were not at all impressed. The food was average at best. You wouldn't think that based on the cost of their menu items. Today we thought we'd try them for breakfast one more time. What a mistake. I ordered a spinach and feta omelet w/homefries and a side of grits. I guess I've been spoiled for years with 3 egg omelets. This omelet was definitely a 2 egg omelet, with literally 3 leaves of spinach and a sprinkle of feta cheese that was located in the very center of the omelet. At the start and end of the omelet there was no taste of feta what so ever.... $10.99 for that ridiculous item they refer to as an omelet! The "homefries" were cut so thin you couldn't grab it with a fork without splitting it and no crisp to the potato at all. The grits had a good taste ($3.49 for a small cups worth) but were very watered down, and the coffee was not all that great. Typically my wife and I enjoy a 2nd cup, but neither of us opted for a refill on our coffee. This was a $40 breakfast (after a $5 tip) and our last visit to this place. Plenty of choices out there for breakfast at a much more reasonable price. What a shame. The only thing good about this visit was our server. read more

Our Group ate here Sat. night March 18th. at 6:30. Our young waiter was a nice young man, our food came and he forgot to place my order. After another 15 minutes we spoke to a mgr. who said he'd take care of it, after another 25 minutes after our group was done they brought out my food and since our group was ready to go, I got my order to go. It was not a great experience and my food was soggy by the time I ate it. In all my years dining out I never experienced this. Visited here on 3/15/2021. Service was exceptional, the Lumberjack breakfast was to kill for and the cashier who rang me up is completely beautiful! Where the grenade goes off in my review is the hostess who insisted on seating me in a booth instead of a table that I asked for. Both times I've gone here the service and food were terrible, like they didn't care at all. Last time they sat us in a corner that smelled like someone had puked. They also had a swing door to the kitchen that sounded like farming, and the waitresses just kept laughing about it instead of getting some WD40 to stop the disgusting sound while we tried eating the burned nachos and tasteless carnitas.
