I came here after having lunch with friends. The Boba tea just wasn't my thing. It didn't taste bad, but I couldn't really get into it. I know a lot of people love this, and maybe I just need to expand my horizons. I would try this again before I completely write off Boba tea for good. The service was great. Ding Tea also gives you so many wonderful choices flavor wise as well as the option to have your tea made with black tea or green tea. I had never had green tea with my boba and its one of my personal favroite so I was super excited to try it! I got a Passion Fruit Green Tea with Golden boba! The taste is fanominal and vibrant. The juicy passionate fruit flavor mixed perfectly with the well brewed green tea and the final touch of the golden boba made my afternoon golden! The service was fast, simple and kind! Was in the mood for something other than coffee today and decided a boba milk tea sounded nice. After finding a parking spot I headed in. The first thing I did notice was it seemed very clean and everyone had a mask on. A couple people standing outside waiting even kept the mask on. I told the girl at the counter this was my first time at this establishment and was not sure what the Hokkaido black tea was and she was very nice and explained it to me. It sounded really good so I asked about having almond milk or oat milk and she said they do have almond milk but that the creamer they use is dairy free so I decide to go with a large Hokkaido black tea with golden boba. The wait went pretty fast and everyone seemed professional. The staff working stayed busy making the drinks and getting the orders out fairly quick. When our order was ready the girl was nice and thanked us as we collected our drinks even though I had to get a picture before picking them up she didnt seem to mind. I couldn't wait to get in the car and try my drink. It was love at first sip. I do think that this drink and Ding Tea just might be one of my most favorite places to go to when in the mood for something to drink. Thank you Ding staff I am so happy I came in today. A pretty average milk tea. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing stood out either. I got their signature milk tea so that I hopefully got their best milk tea. The black tea was pretty flavorful and didn't taste like the same from-concentrate tea that many places in Reno have. Ding Tea is my favorite boba place in Reno. I often come here at least twice a week. As someone who loves boba and has tried many places in Reno, saying this is my favorite is a lot. They have the most amazing tasting drinks, and it's definitely an authentic Taiwanese place. They have speciality drinks that cannot be found anywhere else. My favorite drinks include the Thai tea, Green tea Yakult, kiwi aloe Vera juice, and brown sugar ginger tea for a warm drink. This place would absolutely get five stars; however, they recently do not have drinks with regular boba. Apparently it was a place holder for golden boba. This is slightly upsetting because regular boba is far better than golden boba, and golden boba is more expensive. This might be a dealbreaker for me as someone who loves boba, but as far as the drinks, they are phenomenal. For a boba place, they have amazing food according to the popcorn chicken. Also the customer service is always so amazing which is why I choose to tip. They are super friendly, and I will always continue to go there. Hopefully they bring back the black boba! read more

Got a chance to stop by during the soft and grand opening. Even with a long lines, the service was fast and friendly. They did miss and upsize during the soft opening and a topping during the grand opening but overall, it was a wonderful experience. The flavors of the tea are strong so keep that in mind if you were used to more mild boba. The prices are on par with other boba places and frankly, the quality is better. Finally.... a high quality milk tea shop in Sparks Reno where their drinks are consistent and you can adjust the sweetness level. My Jasmine milk tea was point on. You can taste the flavor of the tea. I like mine with half sweetness since I get it with aloe vera, and it turns out perfect, which is not too sweet/ not too milky. Everyone has different taste buds, so if you don't like it sweet, you have to request adjustment level to 25-50% sweetness, otherwise don't complain. My friend had the passion fruit tea with jelly and she loved it too. The line was long but it moves fast. It is definitely worth it to go here. Second day since their opening and they are hitting it off for the line was quite long. Their opening day I made an attempt to go but I just couldn't deal with the line. I've been dying to try this boba joint ever since I stumbled across them on Facebook and a friend informing me how great their boba drinks are because she's from CA. She's dang right about this place! My first drink here (jasmine tea with cheese foam) was so good! It was very light, not too sweet nor strong. I did feel tiny chunks of cheese, I'm not sure if that's how it is but I prefer for it to not be like that and have it kept foamy but that's just me. I'd like to also add my husband's comment from his drink the hokkaido coffee; "It was too sweet for me. They should add in levels." I totally agree. Most boba places have their preferred sugar level content. Well, that's all I gotta say. I definitely will go back here and try out more drinks, including their appetizers! read more

I'm not sure how this place has so many good reviews, but unfortunately I did not have a pleasant experience (service wise and drink wise). I chose to online order and arrived to the shop when my order was approximated to be finished. I walk in, go the pickup counter, and give my name. The guy heard my name, looked at the drinks, and walked away to talk to who I presume was a lead employee (they were the most mature and only one actually working out of the 6 people working). A minute later, the lead asked me for my name again and said there weren't any drinks for that name and asked "is it by chance ----" and I said "yes." I wish the previous employee had noticed this. They told me my second drink was just finishing and would be out immediately. The lead then went to the bathroom, which is when everyone sitting around in the back came to the front and started talking, not taking orders or helping customers who walked in. After a few more minutes, the lead came back and took the waiting customers' orders and afterwards came to the counter and handed me my drinks that had been sitting the entire time they'd been in the bathroom. In total, I waited over 10 minutes after arriving for my drinks to be handed to me. The lead was the only kind, welcoming, and working employee. The drinks were mediocre at best. For $16, I expected better. The strawberry milk tea was disgusting, tasting like an artificial strawberries and cream than a classic strawberry milk tea. The boba was like crystal boba texture, not squishy but rather like hardened jelly and flavorless. The cream cheese foam on top was flavorless as well. The Hokkaido oolong was better, but again, relatively flavorless besides sweetness. The boba was flavorless and had a poor texture. Overall, I would not recommend this establishment and won't be returning. There are better places. read more

I understand working in a fast going environment but the amount of disrespect I get every time I go in is ridiculous. It's a big deal for me to interrupt their work when I let them know I'm picking up a DoorDash order and the one time I don't go up to them letting them know I'm picking up my own order it's also an issue. I waited since there was clearly a rush and still instant attitude. Once I said I'm sorry but you and 3 other people also watched me walk in and wait patiently the worker literally rolled her eyes and started playing with her hair just to go back to working on orders. This place is okay, not that great. We ordered the large Taro Milk Tea with Red Bean. The drink is very watery and they hardly put red bean in it. Not sure if it's because I used the free one topping from Yelp or they just don't give much. The large drink is $6.75 since I got a free topping so $6.75 for a large drink is not cheap. We love Ding Tea!! Sometimes we go every day for a week. My favorite is the boba monster with cheese cream. Their golden boba are unique and delicious. We love that there are so many options on their menu which means there's something new to try. All of their snacks are made fresh to order so they come out hot and yummy! Our favorites are the calamari, Cajun fries, and shrimp. Anytime we order ahead it's always on time. Customer service is always fantastic. We can't say enough good things about Ding Tea. I tried their number 1 top recommendation and it was amazing. Not too sweet and it went perfect with the egg pudding.
