I don't even know where to begin with this review, but I was very embarrassed by the treatment of the staff here. I took my boy's volleyball team here after our game for a little treat. The girl taking the orders was patient and nice since we had a pretty big group. Our orders were placed at 4:39. We ordered 7/8 drinks I can't remember exactly. We obviously planned to hang out there so we occupied a table and waited for our 4 Cajun fries, 4 golden fish balls, and 4 popcorn chickens. Another girl (with long hair) was packing our drinks and one of my team moms came to let her know that we didn't need them packaged since they boys were going to enjoy their drinks right away. She started unpacking the drinks and slamming them rudely on the counter. My team mom was taken back by that behavior. The store wasn't even busy and we brought them business and I was sure to give them a 20% tip before hand. We then waited over 45 minutes for our food to come out. Another one of my team moms came to grab the food and was also greeted with rudeness by the same worker. She started throwing the food bags across the counter to the mom. The mom responded to her behavior by saying gently "hey you didn't need to throw the bag like that ..." I'm confused where we all went wrong to be treated like that. We're paying customers and no one was being disrespectful to the workers or the store. I am so embarrassed that I took my team here and spent $$$ to be in such a hostile environment. NEVER AGAIN. There is honestly so many different Ding Tea locations in the OC, I don't think I'll ever be able to visit every one of them. I was pretty glad that I chose to visit this Westminster location though! I ordered the Boba Latte and the Matcha milk tea. I highly recommend ordering less sweet or half sweet, the drinks at all the Ding Tea's are generally on the sweeter side. I honestly was not a fan of the Boba Latte. It came in a really adorable cup but it was small and pricey. The drink itself wasn't that great, the cream that came with it, brown sugar syrup, and boba honestly did not mix well to me. You're better off ordering a brown sugar boba milk tea somewhere else. The matcha milk tea was decent, it didn't have a strong matcha taste but it was still enjoyable. I would have given this location a 3 stars but I really enjoyed the interior and customer service. The interior was clean, had good lighting, and ample study space. I would definitely visit again to catch up on my studies. Been here a few times. The lychee yogurt drink is good, but overpriced like most items for what you're getting. I was impressed by the ginger milk tea, which I got hot. Good balance in sweetness. Ding Tea is a common name, but this is the only Ding Tea spot I frequent. You may think that I probably haven't been to many Ding Teas or boba shops, and all Ding Teas use the same recipes for their drinks--Quite the contrary, I've been to countless Ding Tea locations before I landed at Ding Tea Westminster and stopped my Ding Tea search. My go-to drink at Ding Tea Westminster is the Kumquat Lemon Iced Tea slight sugar. I don't order anything else at Ding Tea W so this review is strictly for this particular drink. I'm a fan of milk teas; however, Ding Tea is not my preferred milk tea spot. Drink recipes from location to location are the same; however, most places cut corners and rely heavily on syrup and powder. Ding Tea Westminster is one of the few spots that use fresh/frozen fresh kumquat in their kumquat lemon iced tea and additionally 2 dried plum vs. 1 at other locations. I've always received 2 kumquat and 2 dried plums in my drink, and this makes the biggest difference in the smell, taste, and quench. This drink tastes as fresh as Share Tea's fruit teas in Hong Kong/TW, Fruit teas in TW. The citrusy freshness is hard to find in California boba shops--as more and more boba shops pop up, they share more and more of the similar taste and recipe....and if I'm being honest, the standard drinks from place to place are blending in. Ding Tea Westminster's Lemon Kumquat Iced Tea stands out amongst their competitions. Their consistency in upholding the quality of this drink--even during kumquat off-season is commendable. Fidelity matters, and I applaud this location for caring about the quality of this drink. I hold a lot of respect for this location for extending their love for their drinks to their customers. I came to order Boba for myself and my family. We pretty much all had the same order just different preferences on ice and sugar level. I ordered about three of the same drinks, taro milk, tea with Boba. and they only ended up giving me one of the towels with Boba and the rest, even though I clearly stated that I wanted Boba on all of them. when she gave me the drinks and realized there was no Boba in them she just said sorry and continue to hand me the drinks and didn't even offer to change them. I have been to many ding teas and this would be my top choice for boba drinks and every single one I've been to have been terrific from the well kept establishments to the smiles and great boba tea drinks. This particular location lacks all of these things and really needs to step it up. They really need to clean their windows and tidy up inside as well. I've been to all of the Ding Teas in this area (Bolsa, Garden Grove, Westminster), but this experience here had to be the best! The parking here is so much easier, and the service here is superb! The cashier smiled the entire time--as expected--but even the workers in the back were friendly! Justin filled my drinks all the way to the top and handed them to me with a smile, very pleased. There wasn't too much ice, so I got my tea's worth! I also loved how much larger the inside is here, plenty of tables for just hanging out! The Jasmine Green Milk Tea is a solid choice: perfect combo of sweet and bitter. My brother ordered the winter Melon Milk Tea, which is one of the most popular drinks there. I was here last week on my way home from work. I have noticed this place under construction for a couple of months now so when the grand opening sign flew up I was stoked! I love Dingtea drinks. I frequent the Bolsa location and sometimes stop by the one in Garden Grove too. I ordered the usual which is brown sugar milk tea. It was good- consistent with the other 2 shops in terms of flavor and sweetness level. The place in general is very clean and I can see the owner sweeping the place to maintain it that way. The decor with the balloon letters and animals feel a little arts and crafty and a little DIY. They could have just invested in nicer decor that doesn't feel so homemade. It is a place of business after all and not a kid's party. Wait time was a little discouraging. 15 almost 20 minutes for 2 drinks with approximately 5-6 others in the shop (some ordering 2 drinks max). They need to pick up the pace. Get it done right and get it done faster. The reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because even though they are new- it is inexcusable to not have the rewards program up and running at this stage. They have surpassed the soft opening and been up and running for almost a month so to cheat customers out of reward earning for purchases was a little irritating. At the other Ding Tea when their rewards program was not ready or they ran out of stamp cards they would add a stamp or notation on receipt to get the points validated next time. I felt like by doing that it was thoughtful of the business. These little details matter for small and new places if they want to sustain in the market. My cousin kept raving about Ding Tea, and wanted to bring us here. We have Ding Tea back in our home town, but I haven't tried it yet. I ordered the Grapefruit Green Tea with tapioca. Well, I called it tapioca, and the worker was confused. I repeated it again, and she still didn't understand me. Then I said, "boba," and then she understood me. She seemed a little annoyed by this time, and mentioned there were two kinds of boba, Golden Boba and Crystal Boba. The Golden Boba is the closest to the regular boba (tapioca), so this is what I got, and made my drink with 50% less sugar. It was so hot in there that I could hardly breath. There were only 2 customers ahead of me, two workers and 3 people sitting so I know for sure it wasn't the people causing it to be so hot. REAL Tea!!?! What? Yes, Ding uses real tea, not the powdered stuff, so you can really taste the difference in quality. I know, it's the little things that you would expect from a tea place that isn't the norm. What I also appreciate about Ding Tea is that they allow you to adjust the level of ice and sweetness, which a lot of places do not, because their teas are all pre mixed already (so there is no way to put less sugar in a pre-mixed concoction) What I also appreciate about Ding Tea is that it doesn't give you less tea just because you request for less ice. A lot of places will skimp on the tea if you ask for less ice, which I always thought was ridiculous because it is literally a few oz at most of "extra" tea if there is less ice. I like to ask for less ice because I drink my drink slow, so it gets watered down pretty fast. My gripe with this isn't over the amount of tea, but more so the whole principle of the matter for a business to want to save on such a minor thing for a customer preference. Ordered 25 minutes ahead of time. Showed up to find the order has not been made yet, spend an additional 20 minutes in the establishment waiting and requested a refund. This location is severely under-staffed. Only two workers on a Friday night. These employees did not work well together as the girl kept giving the guy an attitude. Sanitation was lacking. The guy "washed" the dishes, but this was basically a quick rinse. Both employees did not wash their hands between cash transactions and handing drinks. Also the labels that are printed when ordering are placed on the outside of the cups and then the cups are stacked. This means that the inside of some of the cups have been contaminated with hands that are not clean. It was a clear mistake to come to this location. I will stick with Garden Grove Ding Tea instead because their team is exceptional. Would not recommend. read more

We ordered about 12 drinks to samples including strawberry yakult/yogurt, milktea such as matcha, oolong, signature, and winter melon. First off, the server did not ask me for my preferences in term of sweetness so most of the drinks were on the sweet side. great selections and prices are decent and definitely more reasonable than other places. We were there after dinner so there were no line. Cute and inviting atmosphere. There were few tables occupied with people playing the board games and video games. I got the popcorn chicken here, and given my experiences, other places make their chicken with too much breading and I end up just eating deep fried breading. I love their drinks and order frequently using door dash, but every time I get a hot drink (I get the same one) it feels like there's less and less in the cup. I get the large Ginger milk tea, and it just felt too light this time. I opened it to find the large cup filled less than half way.
