Dion has the best sub sandwiches in the world according to my standards. You get a large sub of your choice of meat with lots of vegetables and your choice of dressing. On the side you have a large pickle and chips or fries they also have delicious mouth watering large size fudge cookies with lots and lots of nuts. You can't really go wrong with Dion's. The Duke City pizza with cheddar, turkey, and green chile is delish (as are all of their other pizzas). The sandwiches with their Greek Dressing on top are where it's at IMO though! Definitely an Albuquerque staple. read more

I love Dion's! They never disappoint with pizza, subs and even salads. Their ranch dressing is literally the best I've ever had. Green chile and pepperoni is my go-to with pizza, but the duke city is delicious and I've never had a pizza combination I didn't like. The toppings are always fresh and cooked to perfection. The subs are equally amazing and I usually make sure I get my fix of both pizza and a sub when I'm in town. The restaurant is clean and the employees always have great customer service. read more

I visit this Dion's regularly. I usually order the Chef's Salad with a slice of Pepperoni pizza. It is exceptionally good. The service is always really friendly. The tables here are always clean. Went to this location on Monday while my car was being worked on next door at Discount Tire. No issue, was a good experience. Went back yesterday 7/25/19 and was a disappointment. Was slow, few customers around 2p. The team forgot my order. Waited 25 minutes then went to see where my pizza and salad were. Manager said pizza maker missed it. Their primary job is making pizzas but my order was lost somehow. The order taker spent several moments entering the pizza in their POS system but something dropped. Well, it's Dion's, so, it's AWESOME! Consistent food and service. Food is delicious: I like the Greek Salad with spring mix and hubby gets the turkey and Swiss sub, kids dig the pizza, it's all really very good. I don't think in all my years getting pick up for dinner for the fam that we ever had a "bad meal" not even an "off meal", really Dions has got it together. Dion's is good place to meet up with friends to get a reasonably priced, pretty good meal. It's not the "best" pizza I have ever eaten which is why I only gave it 4 stars, but it's still good. We used to order Pizza delivery on Friday night, but we start going to Dion's Friday afternoon for lunch and ordering a pizza to go for dinner. I was contacted by Dion's regarding the first review. I was offered 2 free slices whenever I chose to pick them up. I decided to do so today. I called 45 minutes ahead of time and spoke the the manager. He was most helpful and put the order in for me. I picked up the new slices 45 minutes later and THESE were made incorrectly. I called the manager, AJ, from my car before I left. He advised he would remake my order himself. I advised him I was outside waiting in my car. When he finally brought my order all the ingredients were there but the pepperoni was strewn across the top as if it were an afterthought. It didn't adhere to the slice. I commented that it just falls off. He explained that they are trained that all toppings go in the same order; that's how they are trained. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. All ingredients should be close enough to the cheese so as to stick when one picks up the slice to eat. I started using this location because the store on Unser/Cabazon completely screws up my order every time. Now this location's quality control is beginning to suck. I think I'll have to find another chain. read more

For years I've loved Dion's, but within the past month their pizza at the Montano location has gone downhill. Last week I ordered a plain cheese pizza, which is always my favorite, but this time there was hardly any sauce on it. I only ate half of it and tossed the other half because it's the sauce that makes a good pizza. Yesterday I ordered a sausage, pepperoni and mushroom pizza, thinking that maybe if I ordered toppings I would get more sauce. But no. I got a TON of toppings (way to much for my taste), but again barely any sauce. I ended up tossing most of the pizza. Very disappointing. Going forward I will look for another pizza place. If you want pizza with barely any sauce, Dion's is the place. But if you want pizza with enough sauce so that you can see it and taste the flavor, go somewhere else. read more

Best Pizza in the ABQ!!! Sausage and cheese!!!!

Placed an online order and after picking up my order I realized that they shorted me a slice. I turn around and get back in the drive thru line. A girl (that just helped me) asked my name I gave it to her and explained that I was shorted one of my slices. 15 minutes later I pull up the the window again and the girl asks my name. I then explain to her that I was shorted a slice and she says she will have them make it right away but it will be a few minutes. Why didn't they start making the slice when I told the first girl? I have been to this place many times over the years and it is always great quality food at a good price. My go-to is the large turkey salad but the pizza and other salads are also very good. It gets very busy right at the lunch hour but they do a good job of keeping the place moving so I've always been able to get a table. Great place! read more

Food is just fine, but online ordering leaves a lot to be desired. The whole point is to be able to order online, in 20 minutes, run out in your house slippers and quickly pick up your order at the drive up window. Twice now, I've shown up at 20+ minutes and they had forgotten to cook part of my order so I had to sit and wait an additional 20 minutes. But what really irritated me today was that the girl at the window lied to me about it. She told me my "sub was not quite done cooking in the oven and it would be a couple more minutes...please pull forward". They failed to start cooking it so it was not almost done and it wasn't "a couple more minutes". I can understand people make mistakes, sometime they make them twice (process issue that they should be able to fix), but don't lie about it. read more
