    $25 steak salad

I feel that the quality of the food has really diminished here. Service was also minimal on our visit on a Saturday evening. I ordered the half steak salad that came with 5 bites of very chewy steak and some greens. At nearly $25 I expected better. Other orders in our party was the steak entree which was also very chewy and unpleasant. Cheese pizza was very doughy. The bread and "olive oil" that were complimentary did not taste at all like olive oil. Either it was the cheapest olive oil that could be found or canola oil. Our server did the minimum she could get away with. She was not very knowledgeable about the menu and never came to check on our experience. We won't be returning.

Had a wonderful dinner tonight at California Pizza Kitchen. Dina was our amazing server. Great warm personality and professional in all aspects of providing customer service. The ambiance was upbeat and Dina made the dining experience that much better. My wife had a wonderful Thai chicken salad and I had the chicken picata. The meals were very good and the fresh bread was yummy. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for dinner while out shopping with my daughter. We shared a gluten-free Margherita pizza. The service was okay, but the pizza was really good! I appreciate that they offer gluten-free options and take precautions. Their menu is clearly marked with gluten-free items, which is nice!

Avocado chicken egg-rolls with a very tiny avocado sliver. Very soft, dry, chewy and cold. No crunch at all.

Food and service was horrible. It's very sad how both have gone downhill in the last few years. My charcuterie salad was terrible and this is a new item. The cheese and meat were dry as if they are sitting out uncovered. The avocado chicken egg-roll appetizer barely had any avocado in them and were soft - not fried or sat out waiting for servers to delivery to us. The waiter was not with it. He would walk away while talking to us. He took forever to bring our drinks and food. Not friendly at all. Very disappointed!

Taylor was an amazing server. You just don't find a young individual with that much customer service anymore! She really stayed on top of our drinks and order and did frequent check ins with us! Oh yeah and the food was really good too!

This is the first time I sat at their bar instead of a table or booth and I loved it! The bar has limited seating so don't be disappointed if there's no space immediately. Sitting at the bar, we got served almost immediately unlike at the tables though mostly all of the wait staff are great! Our wait person had much on her hands. She managed the register, the kitchen and patrons at the bar. She was dyno-mite! I love their soups which are the usual so I ordered the two in a bowl and a special limited time only, shishito peppers. Just perfect! Get them while they last! From now on, I'm sitting at the bar! There is one consistent problem though, the persons who do the seating up front. They're young, lacking welcoming personalities, rarely there to seat guests and don't look or act like they want to be there. Oddly, it's the same with everyone who works that position. Please look into this and if they need to be treated better, then do so. It's a put off as soon as we walk in.

Well, I was down at the local beer joint with a few of the guys When this cute little country girl caught my eye And boy, let me tell you She was the prettiest thing I'd ever seen in a pair of boots Well, she walked right up to me, handed me a beer Gave me a look like, "let's get outta here"... And that's when I realized that she was every cowboy's dream come true.. She told me this right here, she said "Excuse me You look like you love me".. We loved the way Calif. Pizza Kitchen (CPK) treated us Vets this Vets Day... We shared a Calif. BBQ Chicken Pizza, "on the house"...it was very tasty w. sweet notes of bbq and delish red onion..:) Washed down w. a glass of Red Blend Wine by the Lass and a bottle of Stella Beer by the Lad ("on us"..:). It was an enjoyable Vets Day Celeb. Lunch... Thank You CPK!..:) So if you ever see a man in a cowboy hat, And you think to yourself "I could use some of that" Don't waste your time Just give 'em this here line Goes a little like this.. "Excuse me, You look like you love me You look like you want me To want you to come on home" Best, Avram Langley Green Jr.

Quick casual spot for lunch in Uptown. We sat by the bar and ordered the create your own duo for $11. Pretty decent food for the price. Soup was ok and sandwich felt a little dry. Pizza and salad were much better so I suggest getting that combo instead.

We haven't been to CPK in a long time. Probably pre-Covid. We came at 4pm on Monday after a doctor appointment in Albuquerque. It was not busy but we had to wait a few minutes for a table because they had limited staff. We had the Sicilian pizza and Italian chopped salad. We split both and had a nice dinner. The pizza was very good and came out nice and hot. The salad was full of flavor and made fresh. The crust was really good and we saved a few pizza bones for our dogs. They love pizza bones. The decor is just like it was before. Nice and open with a California theme. I also noticed that CPK will do fundraisers. I will share that with our scout group. Definitely happy to come back.

Great place to dine and enjoy some great food. Start off with bread and oil, chose from their selection of good food and end with a butter cake.. service from Joseph is always awesome and staff is always welcoming!!

**HIGHLY RECOMMEND*** 2/2023: Enjoyed the Albuquerque location. I had only eaten at CPK in Las Vegas. Gluten-Free, Keto and kid Friendly options are available. Ordered the Pepperoni Pizza and a Caesars salad for lunch. Neither disappointed at all; delicious, hot! Menu has enough options to please most diners. Server was not too friendly (seemed like not enough wait staff), however clean restaurant and restroom, nice sized crowd there for lunch. Park underground for easier access or you'll be driving around looking for spot to park in. I absolutely will be back.....Enjoy!

My mom ordered the 505 Cobb and they forgot her chicken which was frustrating after waiting for nearly an hour. However, they did make up for it by making her extra chicken! And their chicken was absolutely delicious!! I ordered Persephone's Lunch which was outstanding. I added chicken to it which made it nearly $20 for a bowl salad. The seating is open and you order and sit down wherever you can find. The seating is hard on your backside and uncomfortable, especially when waiting for so long. Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. In a rare turn of events, both kids got the same thing, the Korean chicken bites with the sauce on the side, which was a great decision bc it did have a kick to it. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side. Service was fine, and glad to have a little break from heavier New Mexican cuisine on this night. Lots of variety on the cocktail and adult beverage menu too.

I did let her know the homemade croutons were stale and tough and not very edible. Service, food and drinks here are always very good and polite. I'll be back but not when the outside summer flies are taking over.
