We just left the restaurant after watching the owner/manager insulted two customers. One of the ladies complained about it hair on her plate. We would have not noticed because she spoke very softly but the whole restaurant found out when the owner started screaming at her, using profanity, and accusing her of putting the hair on the plate plus other insults. First want you to know food has always been great! Been coming here for a long time. We went to the restaurant the other night. Restaurant was empty only a few tables. We sat and ordered quickly. Received our rolls, drinks and salad. Then we never saw our waitress for over 1 hour. She never walked by to refresh our drinks or to give us an update on our food. I decided after waiting another 10 minutes so now an hour plus I put on my mask and walk to the back to ask what was going on. I spoke to the pizza maker and he said the kitchen is messed up. Too many orders and they can't handle them. He was nice but I wondered why our waitress never came back and informed us. I found out it was the food apps that were holding things up. I went back to my seat and a few minutes later a waitress whom I believe might be part owner came by and started screaming at my table and me. She was rude and vile. I don't understand because I was the loyal person inside the restaurant about to leave them a tip not ordering online and she gave us a nasty attitude. A few minutes later our food arrived. It was good as always but not once did they refill our drinks or ask us if we could do anything for us. We support local restaurants but I would recommend people go elsewhere. I will. I won't be coming back. To top it off I send them a message on Facebook and never received a reply. Next step is to put this on my IG with over 9k followers. What if i told you the best pizza in Miami is in Hialeah? You probably think I'm crazy. Its true though, look no further for the best slice. As a New Yorker I can tell you I havent found a better slice yet in Miami. I send everyone I know to Di Piazza and I havent been proved wrong yet. They do sell slices during lunch time. However all other times you have to get a pie. Inside its old school, the walls are lined with pictures of family and friends. Its always been a family run restaurant nothing fancy here. Even though the pizza is the star here they do make some great pastas also. My favorite is the creamy garlic chicken which is almost like an alfredo but heavy on the garlic, in a good way. You also cant go wrong with the chicken Parm or lasagna. Get the rolls with a side of sauce. There marinara is the best a little sweetness with just the right amount of Tang. The service and the food were horrible. I ordered spaghetti with bolognese sauce. They brought me spaghetti with plain ground beef, a little red sauce, with mozzarella on top. The mozzarella was burned and so was the spaghetti. The waitresses were arguing with one another. On my never ending quest for the best Pizza, I found this jewel! These Italian restaurant is located on Hialeah on a shopping center that looks average at most, as we came inside the restaurant I was shocked to find out that the place has been open for 40 years! The greeter got us a table next to a wall full of pictures from the owner and their last 40 years serving in Hialeah as well as some OG celebrities. We got the menu and everything is Italian (pasta, pizza etc) but I had a goal to try their pizza and see for myself if this was the end of my quest! I asked for a Large cheese pizza with pepperoni and ham(OG), and Garlic bread as an appetizer. The garlic bread arrived first and oh boy it was good (The bread was crunchy on the outside but soft inside and the garlic was ) I was shocked on how good that was but that just got me more hyped for their pizza! After 15 min the pizza arrived and the smell was just something else, I got a slice and the cheese was dripping from the bottom, the ham and pepperoni smell like perfection and well the first bite just took me straight to heaven! I wish I could describe it but damn you must try it out yourself!! Hands down, the best small pizzeria in town. You won't get a better slice of New York style pizza in Miami than at Di Piazza in Hialeah. They make it just as good there as they do in NYC. The crust is very light and crunchy, the tomato sauce is fresh, and, here's the most important aspect of judging a quality pizza...the grease comes right off and falls on the plate as you eat it. Second the service was terrible. Haven't had service this bad in a long time. Never got a refill on our drinks... Not once ... Tried to call over the lady ten times and she would just breeze by us... Never got more parm cheese to put on my pizza (which for me is an absolute must). At some point I said screw it and ate it just so the pizza wouldn't be totally cold. Also something worth mentioning is that you shouldn't come here if u suffer from allergies... My boyfriend is allergic to dust and was sniffling and sneezing all through dinner but was fine before and after... The Place is noticeably dingy...
