I tried this place a while ago and I don't get all the reviews that give it a 5-star... hum... was I there on a bad day??? Anyway, we made an order for take-out. We sat at the restaurant to wait... What usually should take around 10-15 minutes, we waited 35 minutes! It took 2 trips to the counter to find out what was wrong and why other people were getting their pizzas and food before we did. I did not think it was that great. It was ok... but to me, it was still the same as any other typical pizza place. Won't say I would never come back here but if I have a choice, I still say that "Little Vincent's Pizza" (corner of New York/Route 110 and Main Street) is much better quality. I haven't been back in DiRaimo's in a while... I think I will stay loyal to my favorite! read more

Another LI pizza place that can, but ultimately does not, distinguish itself from the crowd. If you are a specialty slice fan (like myself) than you should stop in here for a quick pizza fix as there are lots of slices to choose from. If any of them are any good is a different story. Nothing stood out here! I have had a dozen different slices but have yet to leave with that "wow" feeling. Someone in the kitchen is creative enough to make these different slices, someone else should be making sure taste great!! That being said... still a good place to grab a slice. Simply the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. And I've eaten pizza all over the tri-state area. I have yet to find another pizza place that serves slices as delicious as DiRaimo's. Get the plain cheese slice. It's phenomenal. I'm not sure if it's the tangy sauce or the buttery, rich cheeses that they use, or the chewy crust. It's just the perfect slice of pizza. This has been a family haunt since I was a kid. I've never been crazy about the pizza (the crust is too thick), but I do have favorites. Their red sauce is gorgeous, and it's especially nice when poured all over the broccoli rabe rice balls. Their meatball hero feeds two hungry people and again, that sauce! Happy to report that they have gluten free personal pies!!! Love love love DiRaimo's, they're a staple for the family I babysit for, as one of the children has a peanut allergy, and they take allergies very seriously. Their gluten free personal pie is my favorite in the area (and the biggest I've had), and even with two toppings was only $10! For comparison, I recently had a GF personal pie that was about 2/3 the size and cost over $16. I'm always impressed by their prices, this weekend my family ordered a GF pie with 2 toppings, 2 plain slices, a veggie slice, 2 garlic knots, ziti with meatballs, and a chicken Caesar salad. It came to only about $35 and they threw in a loaf and a half of delicious looking (and according to my family, tasting) bread. Per other reviews, I've never had a negative experience with any of the staff, everyone there has always been nice. Only downside is no delivery! They're definitely one of the best pizza places in huntington (and personally I think much better than little v's). read more

Up until 2015, Di Raimo had dazzling italian hero bread. The veal cutlet dazzled, the hero bread delivered and together- nothin' but the best! HOWEVER, I noticed they changed the kind of hero bread they use. It is now some type of cheap, soft, awful bread- like worse than subway bread.... to make matters worse the veal was un-edible- it was old, stale, tasted like a rubber shoe. DiRaimos has been a staple in our family since I was a little kid. I used to come here all the time with friends and family and the place has definitely changed over the years. I moved away from Long Island for the last five years and came back to realize they had completely renovated the interior and it looks great now. Huge display in the front with all of their pies and plenty of places to sit. Their pizza is always consistent, I usually stick to plain, not a huge fan of their spinach it's different than other places, maybe you'll love it. They have great garlic knots and calzones and they also make gluten free pizza, which is great. To be honest, the staff has never been the nicest, kind of stoic order your food and move along type of people, which is whatever. Know that when you're coming here you're getting fresh delicious pizza and not friendly banter with staff and you'll be just fine. read more

We ordered take-out tonight, when we got there to pick it up an older man making pizzas behind the counter blew his nose and proceeded to make a pizza, sprinkling cheese on it WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS!!! My friends and I are teachers nearby. We often look to grab pizza for lunch. I'm so glad we decided to try DiRaimo's recently; since we found it we haven't gone elsewhere in Huntington. Pizza selections are always plenty. Service is quick and SUPER friendly. Today, with my hands full, I managed to drop my slice of pizza on the floor. They were so nice and understanding about it. I felt so bad, but they cleaned it up right away and didn't even let me help. They served me a new slice quickly. The dough is a bit too thick and chewy for my liking on their regular slices. Their specialty slices are well done and you can tell that they use quality cheese's and ingredients overall. Di Raimo's is always solid, my friends and I like to come here after catching a movie at the theatre across the street, and they're open pretty darn late, like 10:30/11 at night! They have great plain slices and calzones, and their chicken roll is also very good. But I personally really enjoy their eggplant slice, with slices of fried eggplant and mozzarella which is very tasty! And they're very decently priced, which is always a big plus! read more

They always have a great selection of slices ready to go and their heroes are absolutely enormous. I agree that Little Vincent's Pizza makes a tastier slice, but giving DiRaimo's an extra star because of their improved decor. I remember going there more regularly 25 years ago when I lived in the area and it was the basic crappy looking pizza shop, but enjoy it more now (albeit only able to get here rarely) that they have plunked some money into the interior.
