14 dollars, after tax, for a battery for a key fob…read more AND I guess the guy tried to "unscrew" a locking style opening on my key, like you literally just flip it from one side to another with a flathead, but my partner said he was having a problem unscrewing it? I mean the only reason we stopped there was because we were out when it died, and didn't have the spare with us. Plus we were out, and shopping local is a thing. These batteries cost like 1$ a piece everywhere else. These exact batteries are 4$ and change for a pack of 6 on amazon, and they charged us 14$ for a 2 pack. INSANE. If partner had told me how much they wanted I'd have told him to nevermind, but he just went ahead and paid it. I mean maybe like three bux for the convenience of it would have been worth it, but for 14$ I would just say nope and waited till we got home. tbf, usually when we stop here they've been okay, but this particular time I feel like we got ripped off.

The worker told me I would have to buy another new one because I didn't have my receipt. I told him this thing is so new, the barcode is still on it. Just look up the serial number and you will see my name in the system. He kept lying saying he can't do that without even trying. Instead of falling for that, I drove to the Santa Clara NAPA. Walked in with my bad alternator. They didn't even ask for a receipt. The worker looked up the serial number and confirmed my warranty for replacement. Had I not switched stores, I would have gotten scammed by this new location to buy a second new alternator after the first one was a dud.

Check Engine light was on. Their instrument indicated, "mass air flow sensor dirty". New ones…read morestart at $100 and up! Yikes! The associate said it's possible to clean the sensor. He showed me the two brands and recommended a can of: CRC's "Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner". I cleaned the sensor, and put it back. The "Check Engine" light is off and engine runs smoother! Cleaned two more cars and they run better, too! No $300 bill from the repair shop. 5 stars because their skill, equipment and advice helped me fix the problem. I'm not sure what the difference is since they all…read moreseem to sell the same stuff, but I think it's gotten a bit more expensive since it became affiliated with O'Reilly's as of late. It's easy to find what you need, but hard to find someone to help you if you don't know what you need. They don't have a whole lot of staff here so if there are more than say ... 3 customers wanting a part "in the back," then you're out of luck. They usually run specials but run out of most items they run specials on because I guess... their specials are pretty good? Parking isn't too bad but getting out of the parking lot you will get mobbed by all these cars coming out of Lucky's and just rushing into the street.
