They ordered me OEM glass for my Toyota 4Runner and had it delivered/approved my by insurance in less than 24 hours. 7/25 - called to order OEM glass and requested they confirm approval of coverage for OEM glass by my insurance. Dominique said "no worries, they'll cover it!" And made me an appointment for 7/27. 7/26 - part delivered 7/27 - appointment scheduled for 1pm*. From start to finish, these guys were amazing (especially Toby)! A thief smashed in my back car window and it was going to be 2 days before they could get me in for an appointment. They offered to wrap my window for free if I brought it in. I could not make it in until after work and they offered to stay late to get the job done! 2 days later, I dropped my car off and it was done the next day. The price was the best in town and did not change from the quoted price upon payment. Definitely choose this place over other nationally recognized establishments. Called ahead to schedule an appointment and confirmed how long it would take. (3 hours) Brought it in at the scheduled time, called 2 hours in to get an update, was told "they are working on it" asked for an estimate of how much longer and their response was "we don't know, we don't want to rush our workers" explained I had planned meetings and needed to know if I needed to reschedule them and their response was the same. After talking with a "manager" they said an hour and half. Called back an hour and half later to ask what the update was, was put on hold, (they forgot to press hold) and their rep stating "I don't even want to engage". Again I asked for an estimate of how much longer, with the same answer "they are working on it". I told them I was on my way and would wait in the office and amazing it was done within 20 minutes. Don't feel it is out of the to ask for an estimation of time so you can plan the rest of your day. Would not recommend them unless you have nothing to do and can sit around waiting for their call. read more

We just went there today for a chip repair, they were so nice and so honest, great place.

The worst situation I could've been in was my car being vandalized with 3 broken windows + a shattered windshield. I found Discount auto glass online, and can't imagine having used anyone else! They're pricing was even better than SafeLight or any other place my insurance suggested. Toby was so helpful, understanding, and cooperative of my crappy situation - truly made the entire experience seem like less of a headache. Even let me have the car towed to store in their shop over the weekend while it rained so that my interior wouldn't be ruined while I was waiting for the scheduled repair day. Was able to finance my payment thru Toyota, which made my situation even less of a horrible one, all thanks to Toby who was such a great help. Getting your car window smashed out is never fun, but if it happens to you I would highly recommend going to Discount Auto Glass to have it repaired. They were quick to respond to my request, provided a quote, and got me set up with an appointment the same day that my window was broken out. They were able to replace my window at half the cost and time of the business my insurance company recommended me, and I'm very glad that I shopped around! Updating my review. Month after they replaced our window and tint, I noticed the bottom of our window is not tinted... it's like they didn't put the tint far enough down the window, so when the window is fully rolled up, there is a line across the bottom where the tint ends. Not great. read more

Having your window smashed for no reason when on a tight budget and working out of your car: bummer enough. Dealing with insurance and a maddening ordeal with Safelite (rescheduled twice during which time I had to clear my work schedule for a cumulative 15 hours; when they showed up wanted to charge me *double* their quote), which left me driving in the winter weather with hole in my car and unable to work efficiently for over a week: incredibly frustrating. Then getting quotes from businesses that wanted to replace the glass but leave a hole in it (yeah, I know) or who couldn't get it together to efficiently set an appointment: enough to make one's head explode. Enter Toby at Discount Auto Glass! He worked with me to figure out a plan, given an unusual situation with glass availability (older car), was super sweet, professional, and responsive and gave me a very fair price. Toby and Discount Auto Glass are terrific and I highly recommend them. My car got a small dime sized chip, but my insurance scheduled me the next repair appointment 15 days out. In that time, this tiny chip grew into a 20 inch multiple dimension crack. The next replacement appointment with my insurance was another 10 days after the repair one should have been (25 days later in total). Fortunately I was referred to Discount Auto Glass by Subaru of Portland. Toby, the owner, was super responsive my phone and text. He was able to get me an appointment 2 days later (and one day earlier than my original repair appointment scheduled by insurance) and replaced my windshield with OEM glass that day in about 6 hours. He and his team were responsive, understanding, flexible, and performed quality work. I hope this doesn't happen again but next, I will call Toby and Discount Auto Glass right away! Got a crack on my windshield and called my insurance. Dumb place wanted to get a ton of money out of me. I called safelite directt and they said it didn't have windshields. I called around and everyone had crazy prices but then I called discount auto glass and they honestly gave me a crazy good price. I feel like windshield prices are a joke and just a way to get money out of you. This place got me an oem windshield for a fraction fraction FRACTION of the price. They were also very responsive and able to schedule the work for the day after I called. They were extremely accommodating when one of the replacements tool a bit longer than estimated. I had an 8:30 am appointment for a windshield replacement, came in at 8:30, was told it shouldn't be more than 4 hours so I stayed in the local area. I even saw them pull my car into the garage as soon as I was leaving the building. Came back at 12:30pm, 4 hours later, and was told they just took the broken glass off. Certainly everyone knows 4 hours is a long time to only take off a windshield. I asked how much longer and they said it should be another hour. The whole process took a total of 5 hours! Seems like the people working the front desk either don't know what they're talking about or they aren't communicating with the technicians. Music is blasting in the garage and can be heard all the way in the waiting area. It feels like there is no urgency to their work being done. They also left the hood open and I didn't notice until I was on the highway and it was flying up! Next time I'm just using Safelite, they're faster and more accommodating to busy schedules. I do not recommend for windshield repairs! I don't know how they have gotten such a good rating this far. Also the owner seems like a dick in the replies to reviews, I would recommend looking for yourself before committing to this business. read more

Thanks to a rock hitting the edge of the windshield, a crack developed and was growing so I called a few places to get estimates. Some were really low, a couple were pretty high, and some were middle of the road and we went with one of those. My wife had been in contact with someone at the company and had made an appointment for the 1-3 pm slot but someone showed up at the house at 11 am and of course no one was there. Some phone calls were made and that was straightened out and a technician returned during the correct appointment time, was very nice, and did a great job, and in less time than predicted. This shop is great! I was worried I was going to have to replace my windshield - again - but Toby was able to fill a pretty big chip. He warned me that, because of its size, it wouldn't be invisible, but it should prevent it from spidering. So far, it's working great. And he assured me that if it fails, it has a lifetime warranty and they'll apply the cost of this fix to a replacement windshield. Win! My car window was smashed in my brand new car and it was raining and needed a quick fix. These guys were so helpful took my car in over night to be out of the rain and fixed it first thing the next morning. My car was a mess and full of sand and dog hair from a recent trip to the coast with my dog and they fully vacuumed my car and car and new tinted glass looked amazing. Got a chip repaired in 2020 by another company and one done in 2021 by Discount Auto Glass. The one by Discount Auto Glass cracked even more and now I need a new windshield. Their warranty is just to give me $50 off of a new windshield. WOW. The crack done in 2020 hasn't budged and is good. This one spread out and is now across my windshield. I made an appointment three days ahead. They made sure that they had the right windshield for my particular make and model of car. They told me that the car would be ready in three hours, and to bring-it in at 8 AM. When I arrived to check the car in, they had ordered a windshield for a completely different make and model of car! in other words, they were completely unprepared to replace my windshield. They scrambled and found the right windshield and had it delivered. They said they needed an extra hour, and could I come in at noon. I did come in at noon, and they had not even started on the replacement. It was still sitting in the parking lot. when I asked how much longer take, she said well, our installers have to eat lunch so it'll be a while. They gave no commitment on when it could be done. They gave no apology for burning up a full half day of my time, and the cost of Uber ring around while I waited in vain. While I appreciate them taking good care of their installers, they ignore the customers who will be paying the bills. read more

These guys are beyond amazing. I found my car's window busted out on my lunch break. I am supposed to go out of town tomorrow for the holidays and the weather is terrible so I needed it replaced fast. I called these guys and they had my window in stock and said if I left my car they would do it same day. I dropped of my Escape on my lunch break and they had it done before work was over. Not only did they get it back to me they cleaned up all the broken glass! I was so impressed with how well cleaned it was because it had been a glass explosion. The price was really affordable and they honored an online coupon I found even though they were not aware it was still showing up online and was supposed to be expired. What upstanding guys! Once due to an unknown factor and the second due to a gravel truck spilling onto my car on I-5. Super scary. My car got a rock chip in it a couple days ago and overnight it grew into a 6-8" crack that continued to grow. Filed a claim with insurance, quoted me $450 with Safelite so I decided to shop around. Was able to get a quote for about half of Safelite's quote with Discount Auto Glass. They were quick to respond to my inquiry and had great communication. I was able to book over the Yelp app which is easier for me than calling places at work. I was able to get in the same day, labor only took a couple hours which is reasonable to me and it was a painless process. What a wonderful shop!!!!!! Toby really pulls out all the stops to source the best glass at the best price. Being able to replace my back windshield with the only piece of OEM glass in the area was nothing short of miraculous. The work was done well and efficiently and making appointments was easy. All around a wonderful operation! For context, I had to replace two windows in the course of one week because my otherwise inconspicuous, totally under the radar vehicle, the kind of car you can barely find in a parking lot, seemed to draw homeless meth addict "clackers" like flies to honey, and Portland has been nothing but trauma and loss for me. I had my windshield repaired by Toby and his team, after I had it repaired I had some leaking that I thought was coming from the windshield, I called Toby who rescheduled his day and came to my work and picked up my Xterra took it to his shop were they performed testing on the windshield to determine the cause.
