Did their due dilligence to look at all my tires and explained why I needed another one replaced (it really was dangerous, they didn't just upsell me). Purchased new tires for $1700, the sales guy was nice and informative. They called the next day to say tires are in, I said ok I'll come right up. 2.5 hours later they were finally installed. Nobody informed me of the wait or kept me updated until I started asking questions. The tire installers were nice but then I get all the way home and they call to say they forgot to put the lug covers on and I should come back up. Sad day. Long time, four car customer won't be going back. I've become accustomed to standing in line without any acknowledgement while waiting to check in (even with an appointment), but today's visit was the last straw. Went in for rotation and balance. I was told the front tires needed to be replaced - but wasn't shown measurements, etc. After I asked, I was told they were at 5/32 "which is extremely dangerous". When I declined new tires, he immediately shifted to telling me my windshield wipers are shredded. Funny, they were fine at oil change 3 days ago, work fine, and have no visible damage. read more

Be careful when going to this Discount Tire! I ordered two new tires for my car and made an appointment for 09/06/2023 at 3:15pm. I was sent a confirmation email and text message the day of the appointment. A hyperlink in the text message I received from Discount Tire allowed me to track "my journey". This included checking in before my appointment, notifying them when I had "arrived", and listing me as "waiting for service" in their "journey" portal when I walked into the store. Upon entering the store there was a line of several people waiting to be helped. There were several sales reps already helping a number of people, so they were quite busy at the time. I was not concerned at the time because I had my "appointment" at 3:15pm and I was there sitting in a seat at 3:06pm "checked in" and "waiting for service". You might try to imagine my confusion when after sitting, waiting patiently for 30 minutes, no one had called, emailed, or even asked out loud if I was in the lobby. It was then that I realized that my "appointment" did not mean anything to them. How could it be I was forgotten (or ignored) even though I was spending nearly 1,000 dollars to have two tires replaced during a "appointment" that was made two days prior? I decided I would find out. I asked a sales rep that was passing by me with another customer, is there another step after "checking in" and "arriving" online? His response was that "online "check in" does not work" and I needed to wait in line. I informed this sales rep that I had an appointment at 3:15pm and would like to speak with the manager. He told me he would be right back after helping his current guest, who had arrived after me, to help assist me in resolving this problem. When he did return five minutes later, he proceeded to help another guest before addressing me and the problem. To say I was irritated would be an understatement. How come he could not pass along my problem to someone available to help or to the manager as I had requested? Who knows.... Maybe he was the one drinking the White Claw I saw sitting on a table in the store... I did not know we could drink at Discount Tire, or I may have brought my own alcoholic beverage while I waited for my "appointment". All condescension aside, he finally informed the manager I wanted to speak with him. When the manager arrived, I explained my issue to him, I "checked in" and "arrived" but have yet to be helped. He reiterated what his sale rep had told me earlier, but I was unsatisfied with his answer. How could they be so unaware of the appointment that I had? not to mention I was "checked in" and "arrived" on their journey portal. The best explanation he could give was that "it does not work".... I asked then 'why have it?'. He agrees then offers to get started on my car right away. I contemplated leaving and getting a refunded, but felt conflicted, waiting what was now one hour after my appointment, I should hold them accountable to the appointment that was made, so I decided to go ahead with the service. 45 minutes later, my two tires had finally been replaced. The manager informed me that he would pass along my concerns about the online "journey" portal to his superiors, yet I did not believe him, so I told him that I would be leaving this review in hopes that, one it never happens to another customer that makes a "appointment", and two that Discount Tire fixes their online "journey" portal. I have other issues with this whole experience, but I have spent enough of my time waiting for my "appointment" and now writing to inform Discount Tire and its future costumers of preventable problems. I brought my wife's car in today due to a nail in the tire. I honestly thought I would be there for a few hours due to the volume of customers at the time I arrived. I was told it would only take about 45 minutes which I was still shocked with the number of cars ahead of me. I was truly impressed how hard that teams works together to get customers in and out. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. That is the fastest I've ever been in and out at any tire shop. This store damaged my wheels when I purchased 4 new tires. When the damage was discovered, they misled me and refused to take ownership of the issue. My $1000 tires ended up costing $1600 after the wheels were repaired. I tried contacting the local corporate office, who was no help. Don't be fooled by their free tire repairs. I've had decent experiences with other Discount Tires but had never been to this location. Thinking we had a nail in our tire we got there about an hour before closing so we had to stand in line for probably 10 minutes before someone could help us... about 5 minutes of talking to the worker, showing him the car, etc and we left the keys and went to go eat. We had barely got our food when they texted us that the car was ready! We finished eating but didn't get back until about 20 minutes after they had "closed" but they were still working on other cars and let us in the side door. We signed a couple papers, they gave us back the keys and we left with a repaired tire free of charge! Fast, easy, friendly, free... can't beat it! No reason to go anywhere else! read more

The staff helped us out when we were in a bad situation with a bent wheel. Although they didn't have the size we needed, they called other stores to look for it, and even called the dealership for us. When we came back later, they changed out the damaged wheel and put on the donut tire at no charge, and a lot quicker than we expected! Very helpful--we will use them in the future. read more

They weren't that busy so I don't think the appointment was necessary, but still... Chris was the dude that helped me out. He looked at my tires and then offered a few options, suggesting the Yokohama tires as being the best value for what I was looking for and wanting to spend. I paid, grabbed a free bottle of water, waited and was out the door in about 15 minutes! Note - they don't do alignments here but have a place down the street that will do them for about $50. read more

I asked if they can put air in my tire real quick because I was running late the response I got was no do you have to wait till eight. HOWEVER, both of the Dallas locations have been horrible. 3 months ago I bought brand new tires from one location and one of them already went completely flat. Brought my car into this location and now they are charging me for another brand new tire and trying to sell me on replacing my front tire instead of the one THEY replaced that blew out that was brand new. Every time I come even with an appointment the wait is minimum an hour and a half. I suggest new management or more employees. Not ideal customer service ignoring the issue at hand and trying to sell me on other new products. Would also suggest getting free WiFi if you are making your customers wait over an hour, it is 2018! read more

Extremely satisfied with the work and management of this store for many, many years. But this specific location now has a management problem and we have changed stores, b/c of dissatisfaction w/our last 3 visits. First, with our Mercedes, they rotated the tires improperly, causing uneven wear. Then on my Nissan, TWICE, the tech still had grease on his hands when he drove the car, leaving deep stains on our cloth seats, arm rests & even visors. The manager didn't even apologize & when pressed, told US to get it cleaned & he would pay for it. We asked he also cover this matter with his employee, to avoid this problem in the future. Grease all over my interior happened again months later. Same manager. No apology. Told us to get it cleaned. We called the corporate office to help resolve our issue more appropriately AND help get to the bottom of why this continues to happen. They broke our car. They lied about it, and tried to blame us. The manager, felix, and another guy named Anthony were incredibly dismissive and inconsiderate, pushing us out 30 minutes at a time, even though we told them we had children at home and were paying for a babysitter. I understand that accidents happen. I appreciate honesty, direct communication, and responsiveness. I would give them low marks in all these areas. I wasted way more time trying to mange them and listening to them lie thru their teeth about how they were 10 minutes from getting something done. Instead they wasted about 10 hours of my time and my wife's. Every time I tried to get an update, I had to call the store, wait on hold, get lied to, transferred, and lied to again. No one gave me a direct number to call or seemed to take much in the way of responsibility to fix the problem. I would have a very hard time recommending this place to anyone, even though I have been buying tires there for 15 years. I could have changed my own time with far less time, effort, breakage, and lies. I've got a slow leak in one tire that's getting worse. I arrived and was told to park in a spot. Guy came over after 10 minutes, took my phone number and said that someone will direct me into a stall to check the tire. After waiting in my car for over 90 minutes while watching nearly two dozen cars come in, get in a line, and being called into a stall, I asked what was up. The guy says, "they're here for air checks." "Yeah, but I've been here for over 90 minutes. Why do these people get to just drive in here and get waited on right away?" "That's the line for air checks..." Jesus Christ, I just left. Initially, I went out to run an errand at Target that took 5 minutes and thought I'd get this done as well.
