The reason we had to use this shop was because our 60k tires only lasted 37k so they owed us a warranty credit. If you're getting new tires here, I'd recommend the warranty - they might be cheaper quality than you're expecting despite the brand recognition. I realize customer service isn't always easy, but owning up to your mistakes goes a long ways to earn the trust of your customers. Tires are so expensive these days. I'm used to finding like new tires for less than $50. Anywho... I was in need of a tire badly so, after several attempts to find a cheaper tire, I broke down and stopped by Discount Tire. I paid $125-$140 for one tire for my Jeep LIberty. The main thing I don't like about Discount is the fact that they charge so much for balance and mounting and you can't opt out of it. The main thing I like about Discount is the tire warranty. A friend bought a tire from them one week and, by the end of the next week, the tire went flat due to a nail embedding into it. We went back to Discount and they replaced it with a new one at no charge. Needing tires is inevitable. I don't do Big O due to a bad experience and I am not a haggler so I'm really not trying to shop around at every tire shop I pass going up Federal so...I'll stick with Discount and just purchase one tire at a time. The service is decent, though, the wait is always lengthy but not outrageously so. read more

These dudes are always so friendly and informative. Had a slow flat fixed a few days ago. Went flat again today!! Brought it in and it was not repairable. Good news is that U had purchased the extra protection plan and they are replacing it free. That made me very happy. I recommend purchasing the extra protection plan. After arguing with the sales staff about ridiculous policies on many occasions, including what tires they will or will not service, which of their lifetime balancing and rotation policies they'll choose to honor or not, and having poorly performed balance jobs (3 times all my tires were balanced at 1.5 oz. off each time), I've decided I will no longer support this corporation. Nearly every time I go there it's an argument to get them to not try to force a sale. They pretend to be attentive to customer needs but the truth of their motive is to make sales, often when they're unnecessary. What they're losing by attempting to force sales is future sales from me and many others. It's time to talk with your wallets and stop tolerating this coercive and overly aggressive and unnecessary sales tactics. Got a flat....Luckily I had purchased their road hazard warranty and was able to get a new tire for $15!! My spare was also in bad condition and I needed another. Did you know those dinky spares are almost $200 for a 03' Corolla?! Neither did I, but Charlie was great and recommended I purchase a regular tire for about the same price! Warning, they are pretty busy on Saturdays and parking is limited. With that, I would also like to mention they parked my car in a further back lot. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but he was very kind and offered to go get my vehicle for me. This was after a cold and snowy week and there was still ice and snow around the building and parking area so I was much appreciative. Super quick service, fixed the tire in 45 min and even gave me a coupon for a free coffee at the coffee shop next door. The gentleman who helped me was genuinely cheerful and made the process enjoyable-which is really saying something because it's not like FUN to get a tire repaired at 8am on a work day. The warranty covered everything so the whole deal was free, which has been the case since I had my first car. I appreciate that about Discount. The lack of 5 stars is due to the whole tread-reading technique that I'm sure they're forced to use to sell you new tires. I get that, they're a tire shop! However, the readings I saw on his meter (which I don't necessarily know how to read) seemed different than what he told me. There's a green section on the meter that indicates healthy tread depth, and that's what it showed, but he told me in the showroom that they were at the end of the yellow part, almost to the red part. Not stressed about it-I don't know that it was dishonest because I probably don't know how to read that tool. Either way when I said I wanted to wait on new tires, there was no pushing at all, which I appreciate a ton! Don't go here use the Firestone just down the road in Glendale they will match discount tires price and you won't have to wait! I showed up at 7:30 in the morning like they suggested but there were two people ahead of me in their cars then people started getting in line I decided to wait in my car as it was way too cold. When they opened the doors they refused to wait on me and told me I wasn't special. Actually I think I am pretty special within 10 minutes I had the Bridgestone Blizzak tires replaced by Firestone down the road and they pretty much met the price. Shady or ignorant, you decide. After 4 attempts they were unable to balance my tires. I took it to my mechanic and they were balanced the first time. Here's the list of crap I was fed: 1) we just got some new balancing machines with better technology, so this time will be better. 2) the new balancing machines aren't any better, just more automated. 3) this time we'll zero out the wheels. 4) maybe a weight fell off. 5) we can tell if a weight fell off because it will leave a clean spot or a mark or something, and none of them fell off. Conveniently located off of Colorado and a wormhole, this Discount Tire is credited for being in alternate dimension. While here I was witness to what some might call witchcraft but being sensible, another parallel world is the only answer. The employees are able to transform 1 hour into 2 hours, with your car being next up the whole time. Not only did they defy the laws of time, several employees I spoke with to request an update, never returned... One can only assume they were sucked through some sort of vortex. Although, time is a fundamental structure of the universe, this Discount Tire is superseding that. read more

I ordered my tires online 10 days prior to my appointment. I was informed that they didn't have them when I arrived. He offered to 'upgrade' me to the store brand. I declined his offer. This just happened to have happened the last time I bought my snow tires 6 months earlier. Only that time I didn't find out about my "upgrade" until I picked my car up. They were the worst tires I've ever owned. It is a little game the employees like to play. I'm guessing they make more money if they get a customer to buy the store brand tires. The employee checked other stores to see if they had any inventory. He stated they didn't. He showed me his computer screen and I could see other stores did have inventory. He said maybe he could upgrade me to the same brand I had ordered but a better tire. I said I'd be open to that but wouldn't be paying the higher price. He said he would be eating the cost. I left my car with him and he said the tires would be delivered during the day and then would call when it was ready. This was at 9am. At 3pm I was wondering if it was ready since I hadn't heard anything. I called the store and sat on hold for 11 minutes. I gave up and called back 2 minutes later and immediately reached an employee. After some checking, he said my car was ready and had been ready. I went over and picked it up. The tires I had ordered magically appeared despite not being available in the system. It was a Saturday tire miracle! What kind of game are the employees playing? I'm guessing it is all tied to compensation. read more

God Bless the staff at this location! Everyone was so friendly. My tire had an unfortunate run in with a nail and I was stuck off of Colorado Blvd with my children. I had to quickly get my car towed there and thankfully I made it before they closed for the evening. They are very fast and efficient. Been a customer for about 10 years at this location. I love these guys. LOVE THEM!!! LADIES, if you need honest, professional, real help for your tires, go see the fellow's at Discount Tire at this location. They won't try and make you buy something you don't need or don't want. They'll give it to you straight and don't see $$$ signs just because a woman walks through the door. My Mom even goes there and she's treated very well and she's 69. Buy your new tires here. Get the 4-tire Road Hazard Replacement Certificate. It may *seem* like they're trying to sell you on something you may not need, but in reality, this a great deal. It covers ANY and ALL damage to any one of the tires. Nails, screws, random damage, etc. I didn't get it on my first set and because of the old T-Rex construction I lived near, I paid for a LOT of nail and screw damage in those tires. Eventually a couple of those tires shredded and I had to buy new replacements, whereas the road hazard pays for all that. Free rotation and balancing for all tires you buy from them as well, at any American Tire or Discount Tire across the U.S. Most dealerships only rotate and do not balance, which cause uneven wearing. They get very, very busy. Make an appointment or try to get in during the week. If you walk in at 5:30 with a nail in your tire, these guys will make it work and fix it, even though they close at 6. Because I have a 4-WD truck, I don't need "siping". I know they recommend it on some car tires, but they're honest in why they think you may need it. I've heard other tire places try to use siping as a way to make money on a customer, and not for the customer's own good. My only complaint is that the company rotates the guys out of the front sales end to other stores all the time. You can never get to know someone too long before their gone. But they always have great service and they listen really well no matter who is there. read more

The name Discount Tires make some people think that they are only about good prices and have bad service, but I have found they have amazing service and the best prices around. Their service is the best: they are always polite, quick and respectable. They open the door for you, and apologize that you had a problem whether it was their fault or not. Joel was especially good. When I had a problem today, he said he remembered putting these tires on and a technical problem attire had he fix due to the manufacturer. No. I am a COVID worker. Been waiting for 2 days for Jesse and the other guy to make a 5 min phone to the company that insures my tire so that I can get it replaced. They keep luring and acting like it is such a long daunting task. No the girl answers the phone. It's takes 5 mins. Each time they give me a different story. After they acted like I was a pain in their butt to have to make the call in the first place. So I said if you don't want to do it just say do so I can go somewhere else. With Discount Tire, a blown tire does not mean you have to blow your savings. My husband had the foresight to purchase a warranty for like $20 way back in the day, so when a tire on our Honda Element all but blew out we were able to get a new tire at no cost except for buying a new warranty for the new tire. As other reviewers have noted, the service here is quick with or without an appointment. As the waiting room offers little more than magazines and a place to sit, I appreciate the speed of the staff, but due to a quick transaction we drove away from Discount Tire missing the center cap from our wheel (you know, the thing in the middle with the H for Honda). It was there before our appointment and was missing afterward, so someone either forgot to replace it or did not put back in tightly enough when we left and it fell out while we were driving. When we called to ask about the missing piece, they said to stop back by and they'd check their lost and found, which they said had many wheel center caps (a little disconcerting). Unfortunately, the piece was not there. Since the cap is only cosmetic, it's not that big of a deal and certainly not one that would prevent us from coming back, but because we're considering selling our car, it's disappointing to have something go missing. read more

It was time for me to RE-TIRE...not me but my 2010 Ford van...The wear bars had begun to show. As with all significant purchases / investments that I make I began my research looking for the best value. The best value is not least expensive but rather the best combination of price, quality, and service. For well over a week I spent an hour or so every evening on the internet researching tires and reading user reviews. When I finally settled on an All-Terrain tire by Yokahama I reached out to the Tire Rack which is where I had found most of my info on that tire. In the 20 years that I had sold BMW's and Mercedes Benz automobiles I had referred many customers to the Tire Rack and all of those clients reported positive user experiences. For all of their hype about near-instant gratification, amazing pricing, and customer service I could not have been more disappointed. The sales person I spoke with at the Tire Rack indicated that the earliest they could deliver that tire was 3 weeks out. I was hoping to go on a short road trip in 4 days. Surely I could do better than that. A quick internet search indicated that numerous dealers here in the Denver metro area offer this tire. When I began calling around I discovered that not only was the tire readily available locally but that the local pricing was far more favorable than the Tire Rack. I ultimately choose Discount Tire Company on S. Colorado Blvd. I made this choice based on their online reviews and their proximity to where I live. When I arrived I was promptly waited on by Ryan Schwartz -sales professional extraordinaire! Within a minute Ryan had pulled up all of the info regarding this tire on his computer screen and quoted me a price that beat the Tire Rack by almost $100. Best of all he was pretty sure that he had found it locally but would need some time to make a few phone calls. The store was really busy so we agreed that he would contact me the next day with the availability. When I contacted Ryan the following day he indicated that he had found the tires and that there were on a truck inbound to his store....this was good news. Approximately 2 hours later I received a second call from Ryan indicating that my new tires had arrived...this was Fantastic News. Although I was planning on having them installed on the following day I asked if they were very busy right now. Ryan indicated that if I wanted I could have them installed today. I grabbed my keys and was at the store within 15 minutes. After reviewing the details of the order and the pricing one last time I handed Ryan my keys and let them go to work. Expecting a couple of hour wait I had brought along paper work for my businesses along with some academic reading. I didn't get much work or reading done. Five minutes after handing Ryan my keys I was my beloved van being pulled into a bay. I started the stop watch function on my watch just to see how long the installation would take. Although not quite as quick as those 3 second tire changes you see on F-1 cars they may have set a new world record for perfect install on a light truck/van. Fifty minutes after my van was pulled into the shop it rolled out of the shop with a new set of tires. My new tires were perfectly mounted and balanced and looked great. I had achieved my goal of the best value. I had saved over $100 from the Tire Rack's pricing. I had gotten my new tires in 24 hours vs 21 days and I had been provided extraordinary customer services. I am highly grateful to Ryan and the entire staff at Discount Tire on S. Colorado Blvd here in Denver....Job well done!!!!! JB read more

The guy I bought my car from got the tires here, so when I went in last year to get a nail pulled out, they were cool, efficient, and quick. Not cool when I went shopping for new tires this year. I told the guy I was "Comparison shopping." He said, "I won't be undersold." I knew I was in trouble then. He asked me for my keys to check the mileage, then he kept the keys as we went inside. He asked, "Where were you going to buy tires?"--implying: "You were going to buy tires somewhere else, but now you're going to buy them here." "Costco," I replied. He spent the next ten minutes looking up tires on the Costco website and telling me he could get me this or that tire for the same price. But he would not, despite my asking, refer to specific tire models, and he would not print out a list of tires and prices (Costco does). My keys were still sitting on his side of the counter. He told me about cheap tires, but he would not talk about the advantages/disadvantages of different tires: terrain they do well in, mileage warranty, how long they actually last, and noise level. I said, "Thank you, I'll think about it." He said, "So you don't want to get tires today? I can throw tires on there in about ten minutes." I said, "No" and walked out. I had to walk back in and say, "I won't get very far without my keys." Honestly, I don't need this kind of high pressure BS when tire shopping. Getting the right tires at the right price is too important. What really ticked me off was this guy's total disregard for what I was trying to do. If his tires and prices can compete, then let the tires do the work. But don't try slimy used car dealer tactics on me. You'll lose me every time. You lose, Discount Tire. SERVICE! As in Nordstrom, Amazon, and Costco level. The folks who work here are committed to the highest level of service, from getting you in quickly, to making sure you're comfortable and updated while you wait, to delivering your car to you while you wait at the nearby coffee shop (they give you a coupon for a free cup of coffee there). Yes, they are busy, but they are incredibly organized, and astonishingly positive considering how busy they are and how moody people can be. I've never waited for more than a few minutes, and I mean less than 5 minutes to be helped. I bought a set of tires here a year ago. I am reminded every six weeks or so by email to come in and get the pressure checked. The store is bright, neat, clean, and organized. There's plenty to read if you stay in the waiting area (as opposed to going to the coffee shop). They are doing EVERYTHING right and well here. WOW! read more
