I arrived in-person early on a Monday morning and at first glance, the operation appeared to be efficient. I had a nail in my tire (right on the edge of the rim) and wanted to see if it could be plugged. Jacob was my salesperson and said it could not due to the nail placement. I then asked him to simply quote me a new tire. Note that my tire was still drivable so I explained that I had to go to work but to call me with a replacement tire quote. Later on Monday afternoon, there was no word from Jacob so I called to inquire. I was transferred to him and he said he would have information shortly and would call me. It's now THURSDAY and you guessed it... NO word back from Jacob! I will NOT be back! Per the reviews it looks like it's the luck of the draw on customer service. read more

I just had a tire replaced on my daughter's Jeep. I got to the store about 5 minutes before they opened the doors. At exactly 8:00am, about 5 staff members came out to greet the 3 or 4 customers and off they went. The gentleman that helped me was Brian. He was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. He gave me a great recommendation for the tire that I needed and exactly 16 minutes later, the Jeep was ready to go. The entire transaction took 16 minutes!!! Now, this is how you run a business. Had a flat tire, under warranty. Told it would be an hour or so to repair After 2 hours and 10 minutes they come out to say they need to replace it and don't have the same one in stock. OK'd for the different style to get me on the road. But another 15 minutes later, they don't have that one either. Now they have another option, but won't have time to do the free rotate and balance. Really bad business sense. No customer care at all! Almost three hours to fix a flat tire!!! read more

Even though I had an appointment I still had to wait over 15 minutes just in line. Guy that took a look at my tire immediately tried to up sell me. I have 1 year old tires and he said he thought tread was getting low. I had a nail in tire I wanted you guys to look at, and he immediately wanted to sell me 4 tires. I said take a look and let me know if you can repair. They said it would be an hour before they could even look at it, again even though I had an appointment. I went next door to get a snack, I get a call they ruined my tire and it would have to be replaced. They would do that for free, but they wanted me to buy the other tire! First of all I usually have a good experience with their service but not this time. Went in for a flat repair and was told that due to sidewall damage it couldn't be fixed. They recommended that i buy two tires as the other was marginal. After waiting a couple of hours and the tires installed they handed me a bag with three broken lug bolts. Recommended I go across the street to Sun Auto and gave me a voucher to have new ones installed. So now i have to wait for that to be done making my wait another hour or more. Discount thinks that's ok but very poor customer service when you are made to waste your whole morning with their mistake. They need to fix what they broke immediately, go across the street to get the parts themselves and keep lug bolts in stock. I know they have done this to other customers or wouldn't be so quick to pass the buck. read more

Made an appointment and wanted to drop my car off and do something else but had to sit in the car for a half hour just to do that while they helped walk ins. Not sure of the value of an appointment was. Got my tires installed fine and a decent price, but they got dirt all over the drivers door panel and seat. I have had the worst Saturday ever. Everything went wrong for me today. I lost a $200 pair of glasses, watched my football team lose when they were favored by 30, watched my sons team blow a big lead to get beat last minute, and to top it all off, late in the day when I was headed to mow some property, I get a screw in my tire. I came by this location on Friday to get my tire pressure checked the guy that did the job was super friendly and super helpful but I just noticed today he failed to replace my value stem covers. Love this place. Associates are quick and friendly. I came in wanting a particular set of tires they sidnt have in stock and they worked with me on price for higher costing ones they did have. I was also provided the manufacturers rebate on top of that that happen to be available at the time. I arrived early as there is usually a line when they open. I was helped right away (we all were since they staff to accomodate the rush) and was out of ther in less than an hour. I was even able to submit for the rebate right from my phone while I waited. I've purchased tires here before and I've always walked away happy with my choice. read more

These folks are complete MEAT HEADS ... can't do shit and can't do even basic task ... lost both of my valve stem caps which I had to go find on the floor. Overcharged me and did NOT even to what they charge me for (balancing my tire -- NO weight added) .. scratched up my rim ... been dealing with these MEAT HEADS for 28 years and am really shocked that they NEVER EVER get any Better! I call and get NO service, so I go in only to find a line of six develop behind me with NO one to Wait on them, but they answer the phone & ignore the people right in front of them. If you are going anywhere other than Discount Tire for your tires and tire service then you are just spinning your wheels and wasting your time. For me it is all about the consistent customer service. It does vary from store to store. However, at the Georgetown location, I can tell you that Ferren and Cameron always provide the best service. Obviously the company does a really good job of training but more importantly the employees know how to apply their training. I work for a Service company that services and installs a lot of high end products. I know what customer service and value is. The value at Discount Tire is not the tires. I always recommend Discount Tire to my friends and Family because of their people, like Ferren who are personable, conscientious, polite and well spoken. Bottom line: dependable. read more

Just got home from Discount Tire. What an amazing experience!! Spoke to a lovely lady in the queue for service and she had nothing but glowing remarks about the place (her brothers had worked there in the past!). They were honest, courteous, friendly, professional, fast and fun. The waiting area was clean, comfortable and had free drinks for patrons. My tire issue - I had a screw embedded in my tire and phoned Christian Brothers to see about getting it fixed. JD on the phone was honest and helpful, recommending I just go straight to Discount Tire. So called them up and Francesco asked if I could come in straight away so they could patch it for me for FREE if it was possible. I did that, and Jose took very good care of me. He shared his knowledge and experience frankly with me, was very professional and kind, personable and honest. They were able to patch the tire within the hour, and send me home safe and sound with a smile and a "thanks for choosing Discount Tire". No... THANK YOU Discount Tire! Will definitely be using them again for all our tire needs. PS. There was a GIANT line for free air check and air refilling in their drive through, and a constant stream of what appeared to be happy customers going in and out while I was there. After speaking with a very helpful staff and informing the manager of my need they were able to accommodate my situation and get me back on the road in no time. I think In total I was there about 45 minutes and paid less than $100 for an emergency solution. I am either a horrific driver and ruin tires or I just have the most egregious luck in the world. Roughly once and sometimes twice a year for the past 13 years I am in need of a new rim or tires. I have popped tires, bent the rims, rammed into gutters and destroyed both tire and rim, cruised over nails, and even drove tires to baldness. So I have been around tire shops. Some are good; some bad. This place is actually pretty good. The employees are always friendly and helpful. They do have a good warranty package on tires so its always been helpful when I screw up a tire and have no money to buy or fix it. Just take the warrantied tire there and they do magic. Had the most ridiculous experience at tis store this am. Went to the center to have a tire stem replaced on my car and was refused service because my tire date of manufacture, was 10 years ago. The tires have no more than 8 - 10k miles total on them. The car sits in storage for most of the years. It's a '69 VW Bug Convertible and is only driven on weekends about town. The tires are like new. I do not need the tires replaced. All I needed was the tire stem replaced and the tire reinflated. They refused!!!!! Needless to say, I have been a customer with this store for many years and have spent thousands of dollars on tires and will now be looking for tires elsewhere. This is not the first time I have been pushed to purchase new tires when they were not needed. Enough already! read more
