Our experience at this location was extremely enjoyable. Before I had even put my car in park there was a young man at my window to help me. The entire staff was courteous and helpful, greeting each and every person that walked in the door. The manager was the one that checked out my car and recommended new tires, but did not try to sell us tires we didn't need....even gave us tips on rotating the tires to make the life of them last. My car was ready in less than an hour and we were extremely pleased with the job done and the cost. I have been to other Discount Tire locations that were great...but this one is way above average. Tire technicians are overly rushed. Too many people working too fast on the same job. Mistakes are made. Short cuts are used. Some customer's items are damaged. I honestly don't see how some people can give them the keys to their car and just read a magazine until the vehicle is completed. Those customers don't realize what actually happens. I revisited this store two years later and things haven't changed. They damaged a rim and lug nuts and had to replace them. There is no manager there, all the employees have the run of the store. This place is really a mess. I wish the region would step in and take control of this store. read more

I have purchased 7 sets of tires from Georgetown Discount Tires. I had a 10:30 appt to get a rotation Wednesday 8/13 and got there at 10:05 AM. I waited 35 minutes in line while people helped numerous callers by going back and forth checking tires. Then I was told I would have to wait for all the cars to be cleared out (the ones that were in line in front of me) and it would take 45 minutes to get it done. Worst customer service I have ever seen. I will purchase from someone else in the future. Poorly staffed and poorly run location. read more

First off the reviews about ferren on here are absolutely true!.. Even though i was assisted by, someone else.. I just witnessed ferren hugging a lady who was in tears about her predicament. He was hugging her repeating to her " your safety is more important to us".. To actually witness this was moving, as we are all here because of an inconvienence. But to see the guy taking pride in his job, and actually caring about what kind of people leave his establishment is phoenonamal! Hats off to you good sir! This was one rare occasion where i drove 20 mins out of way based solely on yelp reviews, and im glad i did, and will do it again based on what i just witnessed! ..and for the record the gentleman that assisted me (luke) was also top notch, and probobly would have done the same as ferren if given the opportunity. The rear tire driver side had a screw in it. I called Discount Tire at about 1:30 pm today , spoke to Michael and he said if I get the car to them before 6:00 pm today they will take care of the tire. I asked him " doesn't the store close at 6:00 pm?" He said yes but get the car here before 6:00 pm and we will take care of the tire. Well I arrived at 5:35 pm, there were 5 people in line ahead of me. I thought to myself there's no way I will get the tire fixed today. I waited patiently in line and when I was next in line (there was a lady behind me) two separate attendants at two different times told us both they would be with us soon. Very attentive. My turn at the counter and Sebastian wrote all of the information he needed, said the car would be ready in about hour and half. Seriously?? I told him I could wait until tomorrow. He said no. Well what do you know. An hour later Sebastian called me saying "your car is ready ". These guys are awesome, attentive, professional and friendly. I will recommend this place to everyone. Wonderful staff. Amazing prices. Fast service. I bought my tires online during Black Friday weekend and got the $50 discount. Once I came in on Monday to get them installed (after the rebate ended), I talked to one of the workers and found out that I could get a much better set of tires for hardly any extra. Not only did they reprocess me order with ease, they also applied the $50 discount even though it was after the promotion ended. After that, the installation only took 20 minutes. I'm not kidding, either. I timed it. It was amazing. Afterwards, I will say I was surprised that I was charged for the warranty when I hadn't specified wanting it, but after calling back to tell them what happened, the manager apologized profusely and said he would gladly refund the money. Apparently their computer system was having a bit of an issue with all the online orders they'd received over the holiday, and when I changed the order at the store it accidentally changed my preferences for the warranty. I dropped by for the refund the next day, and not only did the manager apologize again, the guy who processed the refund apologized, and everyone was super, super nice. They even reminded me about my free lifetime tire rotations that are included in the price of the tires and told me they'd see me in 6 months. How nice! Overall, if I ever have to get tires again, I'm definitely coming back again. Great, fast service and an extreme willingness to fix mistakes. Very Poor service at Georgetown location. Visiting family in Round Rock I picked up a nail in my left rear tire. I went on line and Georgetown had a Michelin tire like mine. Going there the sales rep was great we looked at the tire together and I showed him the nail. He also noted I had the front right with unusual wear and we agreed it needed replacement. After returning from lunch I noted my car up on jacks and a new tire on my front rim but they were going to switch front and back tires! I asked the technician about this and he said it was standard. I Sid not on my car they are progressive tires (the front is a different size from rear and try are not interchangeable) this was explained to staff when I dropped off my car and shud be obvious. This would be dangerous if I did not catch it. Then the tech came in and said, already to go, no leak found in rear tire. The sales rep, and I were surprised as I said there is a nail in it and I came in for that repair! He had checked the Right Rear instead of left. Okay honest mistake! The sales rep comped the service fees and only charged me for the tire. This I felt was a good way to cover the mistakes made and I was happy when I left. Then before departing back to Orlando FL where I live, I checked tire pressures. The one repaired Left rear had 67.5 lbs in it. Max pressure for that tire is 50. No tires were same pressure. The only one they did not work on was 34.5 where I had it the right side was in the high 40s and I had to adjust my pressures before starting out. This combined with missing valve caps, (I have the fancy Crome ones) was an indication of passive aggressive behaviour because of my complaint of poor service. I only wanted a tyre repair as a traveller who had trouble. They could care less because I was a traveller. I would not recommend this location to anyone, especially if you don't reside in Georgetown. read more

I had a front right tire blow out on me while driving home last Friday night. Obviously those times are a pain, and I needed replacement ASAP. I went in and saw the sales people at Discount Tires in Georgetown. They were professional, and went out to inspect my tire situation. Went there and got tires rotated and I thought was pretty good service but w couple hours later I realized my $150 Bluetooth headphone were stolen, I was out of town and couldn't return to get them. I honestly don't know what to say about this place or their service, other than WOW!!! I'm still blown away by this place the day after. This is how things are suppose to be run. I was greeted by a service rep as soon as I got out of my truck and he took care of me. They are the definition of efficiency and had plenty of staff on hand to do the job, unlike many places these days. I would definitely go back and/or recommend this place.
